I dunno. I could stomach her and that family before she got Huxley. I was excited for then to to adopt but now you can see that they're cutting corners when it comes to providing the therapy he needs for his developmental issues. In one of her latest videos she legit said that it's okay if Huxley never speaks. Then she goes on about how expensive those treatments are.

My question: Why would you adopt a child with special needs if you're not willing to pay for the intense developmental therapy he needs in order to lead a happy and normal life? Autism is fine, but why would you be okay with your son NEVER learning to talk? Especially making that decision for him at age 2. As a specialist myself, that little boy could talk if only his adoptive parents held their bargain and invested in his future. He didn't leave a orphanage just so he can have "parents" and struggle with the same issues but in another country.

Also maybe it would help if they were compassionate enough to learn some Chinese and integrate things from his culture instead of tearing him away from completely everything he knew. They are really horrible parents to him. I can't even bare to watch their videos anymore it's so upsetting.

I’m so sick of every YouTuber using “Konmari” in their titles and saying they’re going to “Konmari” their house and then they don’t use the method even a little bit. Decluttering a room or closet is not the same thing. Stop trying to be trendy. Although it’s more likely just so people searching will find their videos in hopes of actually learning something about the process.

Anyone else feel like her homeschool room tour was just incredibly fake feeling? I feel like none of that stuff actually happens the way she’s trying to portray it. And I can’t stand when vloggers can’t put down their coffee during a video, especially one like that. A sit down video? Sure. One where you’re opening drawers and giving a tour? Give me a break. Yeah it really struck a nerve when she talked about how he only likes “ray-men” noodles and Chinese takeout. My in-laws are Chinese and it took me all of 2 seconds to google how to make Chinese vegetables and other foods he’d be familiar with that aren’t total garbage like she fed him when he first came home.

I found her from a link from another youtuber.....I was shocked and appalled at how she treats the little Chinese boy. So so so sad. I knew there would be a topic on her...she is a weirdo to the extreme.

My husband (child development focus) and I both watch, we can say that, that little boy needs intense therapy from real specialists. If he's ganna use langauge as a way to express himself, it is crucial that they dish out the money and get him the proper help he needs.

If the part of his brain that is missing is the language control part then no amount of money will fix it. He has never spoken a recognizable word, not even in Chinese.

See no attempts at teaching him english from mykas part just sign language. Get him some picture cards and teach him words you would therapy cards i believe they're called. They could get a person who speaks mandarin to talk to him and translate words and teach him English words too.

I almost feel really bad for saying this but I think it might be true. Do you think they chose Huxley based on his medical conditions because they thought he might not live that long?
Rank in tons of views, money and sympathy. But not have to put in too much effort with surgeries and doctors.
