Otherwise she wouldn't be able to recognize them with photos, of even know how to say them. & Yeah you could say she picks up on words from people around her, but not to the degree she recognizes things. Everything in moderation people. I see nothing wrong with using electronics if its for a short period of time. An ipad for a 30 min car ride for example. Using them all day to babysit your kids is just lazy parenting. Which is exactly what they all did at one point, but Jess still takes the cake on the laziest parent in that aspect.

And the letter game I saw Lily play once. I, personally, won't be getting my daughter an ipad once she's born and old enough to have interaction. Books, little toys and blocks are in her future.
I also don't want my child watching a bunch of TV, and we don't even have cable so that solved itself.
I think Vanessa is just so full of herself that she doesn't see how hypocritical some of her videos or posts are.

I think there are different levels of technology use. V and B are not on a Jessica Roque level
I just love Lilys hair! I know kinda off topic but as a person with curly hair I sometimes wonder if V puts any effort in styling her hair. Maybe I'm just being picky but I think she could do so much with it.

Same. Although I do kinda want my kids to grow up watching some sort of kids show. I always loved My Little Pony and Barney. Not really educational shows, but I would always sit down and watch them with my Mom.whatsername_ wrote:pitbulllove wrote: That's a possibility, but I've only ever seen her watching frozen on the ipad lol.

My kids are screwed, Disney movies, Charmed and Friends will probably always be playing in the backround with me occasionally acting them out and dancing.

We watch tons of fun shows and movies. But I turn ot off several times a day because my daughter gets glued to it. If Mickey or Daniel Tiger is on she acts like she is getting a message from the mother ship.

So no one told you life was going to be this waaaaay da nanana!mumma2one wrote:My son sings along to the friends theme song hahaha.
Fun story: we just finished dinner and me, mum and little brother were talking in the kitchen and suddenly we hear is the start of the circle of life. We froze mid conversation and I just said " No way" and we ran to the lounge room, TV was still on after we watched the news channel. And there it was, the Lion King was playing. We just watched it star stricken and then when the chorus started, my sister comes out, holding our cat singing on the top of her lungs " it's the Circle of liiiiiiiiife, and it moooooves us alllllll" and then we watched the entire movie as a family. Cat and dog included.

Oh, yeah. I love MLP:FiM, but I'm gonna raise my daughter not the television set.
I think a little tv or some Disney movies are a good treat every once in a while, but definitely not going to be an every day thing in my household.

Vanessa doesn't even take the time to style her own hair.. She definitely doesn't do lilys! But agree lily does have some super nice hair!HelloHolaHallo wrote:I think there are different levels of technology use. V and B are not on a Jessica Roque level

Peruvian ceviche looks so different compared to Mexican ceviche, I would have never guessed there was milk in there. That part was kind of strange but I wouldn't mind trying it..
Whoever was making it though used the fish spoon to get something out of a jar (cross contamination!), I couldn't tell what was in the jar and V didn't mention it.

With curly hair it's best to pretty much leave it alone. Air drying, not using a comb unless the hair is wet, and never brushing it. So putting in very little effort is going to make Lily's hair look better, not worse.

My daughter knows the entire Friends theme song. I turn the show on while I am cleaning. I don't even have to watch it anymore I know exactly what's going on just by listening haha !
The ceviche looks gross to me. It just looks like raw fish to me. I'm not a big seafood fan though.

It looked gross to me too but I'm also not a seafood fan (guess I wouldn't make it very well in Peru because all she is showing is fish), would have been nice if she would have actually talked about how it's made instead of just talking about the ingredients, guess you just throw it all in the bowl and put in the fridge? She could have shown how she prepared the corn and sweet potato too.
Re: 2011teenagemom Part 11
you just boil the corn and sweet potato, lol.
and I think that it was mashed garlic on the jar..

Yea! Come to think of it I've never seen her put Lily's hair in a ponytail or style it. Lily has so nice hair she should style it once in awhile as for Vanessa's hair, it looks way better with the extensions in. Her hair before just looked a mess all the time :/ Vanessa is pretty but she doesn't take care of her self. I guess she's back to wearing only black again haha
