I'm surprised, that Jess is leaning ever more towards vaccinating her children later and even having doubts then. I know she has talked about delayed schedules before Addy, but still, she seems pretty freaked out about vaccinating a baby and now she even seems concerned for the toddler stage.
Then again, if there is one thing to gain from her delayed schedule routine, it's that neither she, nor any other parent can make claims about a connection between vaccines and SIDs.
I'm not sure how many people on this forum believe in the delayed schedule stuff, or not vaccinating at all, but I always wonder, if people have just forgotten how god awful and deadly the illnesses were, that doctors vaccinate against.
Sometimes I wonder why Jess goes into a doctors office for her childrens problems at all. They don't even want to do another sleep study, instead she should monitor her, if she stops breathing, wow what an easy task. God forbid a mother should have a workplace to go to and leave her child in daycare, gonna be awesome, if you have to tell them, you're not sure, if she still has it, or not and they should keep an eye on her.
I read an article recently interviewing 2-3 of the last people that they could find who still rely on an iron lung at least part-time as the result of Polio. They were asked about parents choosing not to vaccinate their kids. Nobody remembers the fear parents had.
If Jess had a regular pediatrician for her kid's she could ask to be referred on to follow up with the sleep apnea. Depending on the type of apnea a neurologist or an ENT probably. They'd probably be the ones to order a repeat sleep study. Sleep studies here for kids schedule pretty far out as it's one technician to each kid vs 1 tech to 2-3 adults. Many specialists will expect a kid with a specialist to have a primary so they can send the reports to the doctor who will see the kid most of the time.
