What amazes me about the minions defending their "well-deserved" vacation, is that it's not like they have been working and saving for years and years to do this. They take at least 4 vacations a year, most of which would be once in a lifetime trips for "regular" people. St Croix, Hawaii, Aulani in Hawaii, and now this. Ridiculous.

As someone who studied British literary history for two semesters, it infuriates me how little they know about these cities. Like, they've known they were going for a year now, why did they do no research? Like, what the fuck else were they doing? It's not like they're the one raising their kids 90% of the time.

Like, they're what's wrong with American tourists. They only recognize location via their pop culture status and not by their historical significance.

I'm just frustrated because I want to go back so bad... AND BULLSHIT OLLIE CALLED THE SPHINX A CAT. IT DOESN'T EVEN LOOK LIKE A CAT. TEACH YOUR CHILDREN THE CORRECT WORDS FOR THINGS.

Oh, I feel ya. I didn't actually study English history formally, but my parents shared their love of it with me. They would sit around the dinner table with my great uncle and argue over who killed the Princes in the Tower and whether or not Henry 2 really wanted Thomas Beckett dead. I went to Coventry Cathedral and was so amazed to be walking where Beckett had walked, and the Tower of London, and I was walking where Anne Boleyn had stood. I know this is all personal, but to reduce London and Paris and all their history to pop culture references and photo ops is just sad. Notre Dame took 200 years to build! They built it without cranes, bulldozers, or any other machinery. It's freaking amazing. And they don't even care. It's all Harry Potter, Disney and Outlander. I know I am preaching to the choir, and I am ranting, but I have to do it here.

Bryan said he checked how to say "cheque please" and he was told to say "Vérifier s'il vous plaît" but that the waiter didn't even understand him hahaha how funny. Except you wouldn't ask for the cheque you'd ask for bill and the phrase he actually parroted to the waiter translates as "please check". No wonder he couldn't understand him lmao

Thank you...even with french beeing our official language i wasn't able to understand what he was saying...but of course he was right....
It is clear if google translate does it a word at a time, an note the meaning of the sentence, then it has to be right 100%

Do you guys think Bryan actually edits his vlogs? I feel like we don't see any tweets about him editing and the vlogs are usually on time now.

I'm amazed too that they didn't do any prior research to this trip, but like everyone is saying they could care less about history. The narcissists that they are, they probably think they know everything.

Personal- if I was going on a trip to London and Paris, I'd be doing so much research in advance. Since plane tickets to Europe are extremely expensive, I would want to get my money's worth and experience all that I can. For B&M though I'm sure they think they'll be back in a few years so it's not as big of a deal.

lmmomSD wrote:Or 'l'addition, s'il vous plait" . He probably pronounced it phonetically anyway, lol. So he was actually bitching? He probably swallowed half the syllables anyway, like he does in English, and there was no way anyone could understand him. No wonder Ollie has speech trouble with these two as parents.
Yup, l'addition. He probably pronounced verifier like pacifier lol ....."Vérifier s'il vous plaît" in Bryan speak = ''Very-fyer sill voose plate.''

I've skipped it ever since they made it. It's too long and I hate Bryan's singing
^Ditto. And holy cow, I didn't know that was Bryan singing. The auto tune must be on the scrap heap the amount it was needed for that intro alone, ha.

Bryan probably thinks he's a good dad by not saying the word sphinx to Ollie, coz it's a rude word dincha know. He probably thinks it's part of the ̶s̶p̶h̶i̶n̶c̶t̶e̶r̶ or some such shit.

Sorry for so many posts, just too much to ignore lately.

I wonder if he will sport a fake English accent when they get back to the states. You like Madonna did. lol You know he is going to be slipping in English colloquialisms and slang when he can and his minions will eat it up. Barf lol. The dumb that these two do on our own soil is bad enough and now poor London is getting it. I just can't believe they did no research on where they were traveling. What an empty trip photo ops at only the newest, trendiest things. They don't even know pop culture prior to what is currently happening. I know all this has been up thread, but I 100% agree.

Watching these two dolts makes me so very grateful for the parents that I had growing up. I am fortunate that they instilled the love of travel, culture, language, & history into me. These two should really stick to resorts, where the language is English and room service sells crappy American diner foods at a high price. I don't care how much money they have, world travelers they are not. It is really pathetic to watch it happen.

She just looks like she's over having that camera on her at all times. Why is it always Missy's family anyway? I'm sure Bryan's mom and sister would have loved to go to London as well, his mom seem's like the type of person who would be grateful to just go anywhere with her son and grand babies. It's so cringeworthy watching Bryan and Missy around each other. I could never imagine being so turned off by my husband. I have a friend who just drains me of my everything, Bryan is like that friend.

The most depressing part of their trip so far for me was Bryan's tweet last night that the best meal of their stay in London so far was at Nando's. For those of you that don't know Nando's is a large multinational chain that specialises in chicken and chips. There are tons of restaurants in the UK as for some reason it is very popular with school children and students here. London has so many fantastic restaurants where you can eat excellent British food or amazing cuisine from all over the world because of our city's multiculturalism. Despite that however, they went and ate at a prosaic chain restaurant that you could eat at anywhere in the world. Now all their minions are going to think that Nando's is the best Britain has to offer in terms of food.

As a Londoner, what really annoys me (far more than people getting Tower Bridge and London Bridge confused) is tourists being to unadventurous to eat anywhere but some average chain restaurant and then saying "its true, the food in England is terrible." Sorry, rant over!

Agreed! It might just be me reading this wrong, but did anyone else notice at 12:12 in yesterday's blog how unimpressed Missy looked when they found the Mona Lisa? Bryan was saying "isn't it incredible to see this in real life?" and the just made a face as if to say "meh!". Bryan seems to be enjoying this trip far more than Missy at the moment.

Ok and I also don't read their FB pages...but when I checked out Bryan's....are you serious? It's one big ad for his crappy album! I seriously doubt people have been "begging" for album info.

Who needs to beg when you can be constantly inundated with album spam by the king of pop himself. lmao

Interesting that no one is buying into this album like they were with the first one. I wonder if he will have another ego, I mean record release party?

This is so true! I lived in England for 5 years and ate at so many great places! People say British food isn't that great, but it's some of my favorite food. Nando's is fine for what it is... but there are so many amazing places with amazing British food - they are really missing out!
