Tannerites/YAWI

Unread post by loulouinnz »

Anyone watch them?
I'm convinced their dad wants to jump onto the gravy train of youtube. He's already very vague about how they survive when neither of them work.
Noteworthy -
Big family, Mormon (of course)
The mum had cancer, now in remission
They have a chinese woman living with them (or did, maybe she has gone now. The whole thing seemed a bit weird. They showed her preparing a meal that took two whole days and the kids barely touched it. So rude)
One daughter is home schooled
One other girl is almost 15 but acts like she's 8. A recent vlog showed her running to tell the camera she had started shaving
They have an 18 year old but they've been married for only 16 years and they're only 35.. do they maths. But they're definitely mormon
Their son was supposed to leave for a mission too but it was postponed because he transgressed. Some youtube comments suggest he did the naughty with his long term girlfriend.

The dad is so fame hungry. The mum seems exhausted, glassy eyed and a bit out of it.

Their subs are going up a lot, they've filmed with other youtubers like 8passengers recently

I tried watching them. I saw like 2 or three videos, but in the end they didn't completely capture my attention as much.

My daughter just found them. The kids are cute, but the parents are completely lacking in charisma. They really put the lie to the idea that anyone can vlog. She did a hotel room tour, and mom was showing what was in the fridge. "Here's our ketchup, and salsa". And then,"Here's our peanut butter and cheese whiz". Wow. Like watching paint dry. And all the boys have weird names but the girls have very traditional names. Asbury? Asbury Park is a city in New Jersey. Are they big Springsteen fans? And they vlog the kids when they are sick and obviously miserable. Put the camera down and help your kid.

Plus, tangerines is an explosive target. It blows up so you know you've hit. They should have googled the name...

I think I like them, the kids can be pretty funny and cute. I thought it was a little odd how they announced Branson is single now though, and I feel bad for his former girlfriend. I'm just speculating but I bet the reason he didn't go on his mission earlier was because he and his gf had sex and now he broke up with her so he won't be tempted and can be "pure" for his mission. :?

The family is kinda awkward, I watch them sometimes. The mom's teeth bother me too much..haha I either leave the video when she's on or skip forward. Also the kids are always out of school and the younger two are watched by the oldest a lot. Do the parents work?

They exploit their kids an awful lot. They do vlogs about the girls having cramps, and use it for titles and thumbnails. It's just awful, and you can see the girls just want to die every time their mom says "cramps". It's not that it's shameful or bad, it's just that I am sure the girls would like to keep their cramps to themselves. I would have died of mortification had my mother uploaded videos about my periods to the internet.

I'm so tired of the cramping videos. Seriously.

If my daughter were having cramps that bad for 2 years then I would have already taken her to the doctor, can't believe it took them this long to make an appointment.

I was thinking the same thing. They've made at least 3 videos about it, why can't they take their kid to the dr?

I was thinking the exact same thing. I understand that going through puberty is a normal thing, but I do feel sorry for the girls cause I can only remember when I was 15 years old and someone said the word period. It is good they are normalising it and letting them know its okay, but I can only imagine what the other 15 year old girls are saying that are her friends. I mean, they made a video about them explaining porn to their eldest two daughters - if they wanted to make a video about it, why not just have the parents cause they did majority of the talking? Anything for views, I guess.

It's good they are finally taking her to the doctor next month but 2 years really is an incredibly long time for her to suffer every month and not do anything about. Considering Sarah had cancer--not that I think Allie has cancer--but just considering that their mom had a very serious illness I can't understand why they would put off finding out about a medical problem with anyone in the family.

I know! I had bad endometriosis, and it can really screw with your fertility because of scar tissue formation. I was lucky that my tubes weren't scarred, but with the Mormon push to reproduce, they would be better served to get her to the doctor earlier. And no, periods aren't anything to be ashamed of, but those girls have to go to school and face all those other kids. And who wants a boy they're crushing on to see a video about your excruciating cramps?

It irked me that Allie is 15 years of age and didn't know what birth control was, I know they may not believe in using contraception but seriously???

Yeah, I raised an eyebrow at that, too. I didn't think the Mormon religion is against contraception but I don't know.

I watched some of the eps and could'nt stand it bc of how protective the parents acting. Maybe it's the mormonism, but the parents are keeping their oldest childeren very childish-like in my opinion. Like Allie didn't know where baby's are coming from at age 15!!!!! almost 16 like.. but they think she's old enough for having driving lessons. And the fact daddy keep saying her body has to reproduce 8 or more kids so she has to be healthy again bothered me so much.

I get an icky feeling from the dad of the clan. Can't really explain it. I also wonder how well adjusted Allie is since they treat her like an 11 year old. I'm also surprised at her lack of knowledge of basic things . Perhaps she's playing dumb for her parents' sake. All I know is that when I was a 15 year old theater geek there was always a ton of experimentation and even those who didn't partake were still around for the conversations about sex, birth control, drugs etc. Did they ever say what the results of her tests were?
On an unrelated note: have you noticed a lot of young female youtubers are making these weird side grin faces? Like stretching their mouth side to side and downwards a little? Is this a thing? I've never seen this done irl (and I'm around college students all day long) but it's all over YouTube. What is it?

I wished we could see the stuff that we don't get to see when the camera is turned off. Do they act nice and play nice just for youtube or is this family genuinely a friendly family.
sasperillo wrote: Did they ever say what the results of her tests were?
Yes, in todays video they stated that Allie has a small cyst on her left ovary.

Why are they going through their 18-19 (?) year olds son iPhone? Who cares if he is gone. They are lucky he didn't have anything typical 18 year old males would have on their phones.

I don't have anything bad on my phone, but I would hate it so much if someone did that to me! I don't like anyone going on my phone, period. I just feel like its an invasion of privacy.
