Re: Britneyandbaby Part 4
I like Britney, honestly.. But OMG put down the mascara!! I counted (yes I know) 5 applications of mascara per eye. It's too much. If she's going for fuller, longer, thicker lashes, she needs to either a) invest in a better mascara or b) use false lashes.Medic wrote:Thoughts on make video?
Other than that, I think her routine is fine. It works for her, works for her look. She doesn't profess to be a beauty guru which I appreciate!

Re: Britneyandbaby Part 4
It's so hard even if we leave the house late! My daughter gets a false sense of "I am staying home with mom today!!", so when we get to daycare it's a total melt down! (She has a blast once I'm gone)After working in a daycare with more than 70+ children at a time in our center for over 5 years, I know exactly what Jennalovebug is saying. It is VERY hard for kids to adjust to schedules. It's hard enough when kids have a 3 day weekend and then come back to daycare/child care/school after the weekend. If a kid stays home with mom for a week, let alone months, it's going to be very hard and confusing for the child when they go back. The kids don't understand why their schedule was changed and then changed again. I found that it works better for parents to leave their kids in childcare while on maternity leave. It's hard enough on the child to adjust to a sibling, but adjusting to a new schedule and home life is even harder. Also, even if I do become a SAHM, my children will be in some sort of part time program. I know a lot of people look at the negatives of childcare, but there are positives. Children learn faster, in different ways, they learn life skills and skills that prepare them for the future. Their senses are exposed to so much more at childcare. Where I work, we have two mandarin speaking ladies and a couple spanish who are teaching the children and letting them learn their cultures. It's amazing how beneficial daycare or childcare programs can be.
In the morning I have to talk to her about her friends, playing, and school... kinda to get her amped up, it helps! She is more than ready to get there and play.
I don't wanna un-do her progress over 3 months! I am going to try and get baby 2 on HER schedule (as best we can), I can't do that if we ruin her schedule.
Re: Britneyandbaby Part 4
I did daycare because my parents had to work. My cousin is one and is starting to do one day a week or a fortnight at the moment so his mum can get stuff done and also she is pregnant again. I think it's a good way to help get your kids socialised and become independent but it's depends on the person. I don't believe daycare should be used for people like Lindsey and Lora who are capable of taking care of their kids and be SAHM and ship there kids off to daycare from 9-5 everyday because they are lazy.
In the name of the moon, I shall gossip about you.
Re: Britneyandbaby Part 4
Considering there is a serious shortage of daycare spots (in Australia at least), I don't think stay at home parents should have their kids in daycare for more than one day a week. The "socialising" argument is a cop-out because there are plenty of ways to socialise your child without putting them in daycare.

Re: Britneyandbaby Part 4
I like for my daughter to socialize and be in situations without me too.
We do the other socializing activities, pool, park, grocery store lol. But, it is nice to know she can get on without me being there with her as well.
Today I picked her up and she told me "friends!" While pointing to her classmates. Then she proceeded to tell me their names lol!

I agree that people like lindsey shouldn't have their kids in daycare just for a "break". I understand if she's going to school, but I do not think it is necessary for her kids to be in daycare if she isn't working or in school. On another note, there are ways to socialize children other than child care and I wonder why Britney hasn't enrolled aria in anything else. Why isn't aria in swim lessons again or dance or some type of program where she interacts with other children? At least Vanessa has lily in gymnastics. All I can think about is how hard it's going to be for aria to share with other kids besides lily. I guess that's where Nolan comes in.

I don't think its gymnastics....Isn't it one of those places you bring kids and they can run around?Wagurl wrote:I agree that people like lindsey shouldn't have their kids in daycare just for a "break". I'm a stay at home.. And while I have no issues with Daycare or those that use it, I feel it should be primarily used by parents whom work.LizLee30 wrote:Considering there is a serious shortage of daycare spots (in Australia at least), I don't think stay at home parents should have their kids in daycare for more than one day a week. How are you a SAHM, if your child attends daycare 5 days a week at 6 hrs a day? You're not. Your simply a house wife at that point.
I agree with your comment in regards to Socialization. There are PLENTY of other ways to achieve socialization, and when your child is old enough they can attend Pre-School or Pre-Kindergarten a couple of days a week (though you have to be careful - here in my province there is PLAY School and PRE school, very different) if you feel your child needs it before entering school. My children didn't attend either pre or play school.. God, the looks I got for that one. However they were all enrolled in Dance, Swimming and Winter activities. Each program was carefully chosen. They learnt to sit and listen, follow directions from someone other than Mommy or Daddy, and at home we worked on their alphabet and writing their names (casually, but efficiently) Entering Kindergarten all three tested slightly above the average. Most of whom attended Pre-K. But each child is different.
I don't understand why Britney is putting her in.. Has SHE given a reason?

Re: Britneyandbaby Part 4
^^^ I think (someone correct me) for socialization AND so she has time to do her school work. She explained it in detail in one video I forgot word for word what was said though.
And doctors appts. I know I take my daughter to daycare when I have an appt. I pick her up promptly after but I don't like taking her to my appts.

Re: Britneyandbaby Part 4
I have worked in daycare and manage a home daycare right now. And I have seen tons of parents who didn't need care stick their kids in all day. In Canada where I'm from you can't legally have your child in the center longer then 8 hours. I think daycare is great if your a parent who works full time, a student who is in school full time, but just to have me time sticking a kid in full time is wrong. Now preschools or one to two days in a daycare for learning and socializing is ok. I think Britney does one day or something like that.
Re: Britneyandbaby Part 4
I plan to take my child to daycare/preschool for language reasons. I plan on using that time to slowly wiggle back into the work force as well. My BA is at the moment unused so I'm a little nervous at the 3 year break between finishing my studies and getting my first "job" post degree but I'll see how that goes.
I hope Britney has the baby today I wanna win I guessed August 1 lol! And I honestly give props to Britney she is always putting out new videos and trying.

Re: Britneyandbaby Part 4
I'm checking her fb almost everyday for changes. I haven't made a guess but it's interesting that she has gotten this far along when Aria was about two weeks early.

Re: Britneyandbaby Part 4
I was expecting her to have the baby early for some reason but I guess that's not going to happen I hope she had him on the 4th though that's also Britney's birthday!
Re: Britneyandbaby Part 4
Yes, it's just a gymboree or a little gym place. Aria is two. She has plenty of time for dance and socailization. At her age you don't drop them off anyway.ciara1991 wrote:I don't think its gymnastics....Isn't it one of those places you bring kids and they can run around?Wagurl wrote:I agree that people like lindsey shouldn't have their kids in daycare just for a "break". I don't think Sahm's should put kids in full time at daycare but once or twice a week in the mornings? Sure. Most church based daycares call it Mother's Day Out. 8-12
