I have people in my family who are naturally thin, and people who have struggled with obesity. But the bottom line is that we aren't talking about me and my family. We're talking about Ellie. And she seriously seems to have some issues, and she's going to pass them on. And that's not fair to Jackson or Calvin.

Exactly. And it's not like the weight/health of other vloggers isn't discussed. It absolutely is! It comes up daily on other boards. Bonnie's weight and diet comes up often, Bryan and Missy are constantly questioned about their health.... so to argue that should be somehow be discussed along with Ellie's issue makes no sense. It's a deflection. It's an argument that Eugenia Cooney fans have made for years, and all it's has done is enable her. This is a discussion board due E&J, so naturally their health is going to be discussed. It's hard to care about Jared's Dr Pepper addiction when there's a bigger elephant in the room.
I've said before, my aunt has had an eating disorder for years now. I see a lot of similarities in how Ellie behaves and speaks about food. My aunt has a lot of energy, but definitely is not healthy in other ways, energy alone does not somehow make an eating disorder not a problem. They also don't really do much in a day. It's easy to appear energetic for a 15 minute vlog. I watch a Vlogger with Cystic Fibrosis who is at least 10 pounds heavier than Ellie (similar height) but under doctor's orders to drink shakes to put on weight. She has a serious illness and is exhausted most of the time, but you wouldn't really know it watching the vlogs because she only vlogs when she's in the more active part of her day.
It is possible to be healthy and thin, but it is also possible to be healthy and heavier. I am not one of the posted that routinely body shames any type, but I most definitely will call out health concerns if I see them.
