Katie's bitchy little comment at the start of blog really pissed me off. Like Im sorry that you're too in denial about your husband being lazy and contributing to nothing when it comes to raising your two children but other people are.

I didn't watch the video today. Probably won't take the time to, either. But from what I read here, why are they alienating a good chunk of long-time adult subscribers by being passive aggressive? Especially at a time where their views and subscriber count are tanking. Maybe if they went back to being down to earth and actually connecting with their subscribers, people would start watching again.

They've always been passive aggressive and condescending. This isn't new. They're just being who they are.

I have to admit, I laughed at the comment Katie made. I like them and I can admit they have many flaws, but a lot of people on here were making it seem as if it was hurting them personally about how they parent. Are they not allowed to bite back? I already know im going to get shit for posting this, it's just funny how this works.

Don't bite the hand that feeds you aka don't make passive aggressive, snarky comments to the people who pay your bills. Katie said all that she needed to in her comment on that vlog. Anything beyond that is immature and unnecessary.

Does anyone think they will need to sell their McMansion in a few years? Their YouTube salary is tanking, and even if they have more babies to try to increase views I don't think their salary will return to the way it used to be before.

I'd say it's a possibility.

Slightly off topic:

One of the family vlogging channels I watch just had to sell the house they bought about a year ago because YouTube took away the kids channel (it had kids songs and such on it) that was their main source of income. It's a family I like, but at the same time this is why you have to tread extremely carefully if your making YouTube your career.

I agree, it was 100% passive aggressive, which is fine if directed towards anyone you're not financially reliant on for virtually your whole livelihood. It' d be a pretty stupid move to behave that same way towards your boss at work and I sensed Katie seemed pissed just beneath the surface, which took away the jokey humorous element and made it feel more of an immature and petty FU to their viewers.

It's not the first time they've reacted in this manner and probably won't be the last and as askeptichere mentioned on the previous page, perhaps these little outbursts are one of the reasons they're losing long term adult viewers.
