He said he saw her across the street on July 4th but didn't actually talk to her until years later when he was out to lunch with a friend and she walked in and he couldn't believe that was "little Ashley". He said she was engaged at the time and he kind of wooed her away from him.
Then someone here found her old blog where, years before, she had written a blog post about them spending hours alone in her basement on that 4th of July and who knew there would be sparks in the air and between them.
After that came out, he's never mentioned this "engagement story" again. I imagine, it's because that's Tyler's M.O. - ignore what he said in the past if he lied about it.
She has NEVER mentioned seeing anyone else, ever. Nor has she ever mentioned being previously engaged. I'm sure that was false. Who has that much time to be engaged to two people, graduate high school, and get married all before turning 18?
Recently someone also found a post somewhere where he said he fell in love with her the moment he saw her and knew they would be together. I don't remember who found it or what exactly it said.
