I just watched the vlog. No, its not their car. Joel even says he got a call from a family he home teaches and they needed his help. Not that it was a family member.HelloSweetie wrote:Wasn't that Ellie and Jared's car that Joel was working on?

I don't know how to screenshot and post but can anyone try taking a shot at 2:01 when Joel is working on that car? I am not sure if it is something he put there or if it was already there but there seems to be a list on cardboard tucked over that license plate. Maybe his to-do list. But I am nosy and want to see it! Haha

These vlogs are so much more pleasant to watch than any other family's. I can't get over the difference between these videos and her sisters' for example. If all youtubers filmed like this, I'd have fewer reservations (but still some) about the ethics of vlogging family life for everyone to see. I really enjoy watching Bonnie and Joel and their kids!

I dont like the delay, but if their vlogs remain the same, surrounded by Linc and Joel's handy man clips I dont mind! These are the only vloggers besides Jordan Paige that I like watching.

Re: Bonnie and Joel: Pack-Cacking it | Part 13
at the 11:00 minute mark on Bonnie's vlog you can see Julie's pregnant belly at the restaurant. I am convinced now.
Re: Bonnie and Joel: Pack-Cacking it | Part 13
Bonnie and Joel are hands down my favorite out of ALL the YouTubers. I can't believe they don't have way more subscribers. They are the most true and most genuine, I think. They don't make everything a big production. They don't act like they are perfect all the time - they show and own up to their faults. You are right - they are like night and day compared to the other Griffiths sisters. (Julie seems okay, their vlogs just aren't super interesting in my opinion). Bonnie and Joel's vlogs are so refreshing. They are the only ones I am a loyal viewer or anymore.natalka81 wrote:These vlogs are so much more pleasant to watch than any other family's. Yep...their vlogs are still good but I also am really struggling with this delayed posting nonsense. It makes me feel really disconnected when you see some of the same things on other vlogs days before or when events don't match up with her social media posts, pictures, Instagram stories, etc. I *really* hope she changes her mind and goes back to the old schedule!amyfalafal wrote:I dont like the delay, but if their vlogs remain the same, surrounded by Linc and Joel's handy man clips I dont mind! Re: Bonnie and Joel: Pack-Cacking it | Part 13
This exactly. I think Bonnie got some pretty decent advice and a little bit of criticism (though most of it helpful) a while back when she vlogged about Boston waking up wet and having to start his chart all over again because he was really struggling to keep his pull up dry at night. I myself even commented that perhaps his body simply wasn't ready and suggested that maybe she either wait a while and try again or create a chart that was longer and had to be completely filled but didn't have to be started over if he had one or two slip ups. I looks like maybe she did that, or maybe she waited long enough that his body was just ready.menehune wrote:Sounds like you got really lucky. Little ones tend to sleep really deeply, so it isn't considered abnormal for them to still wet the bed up until age 5. 1/6 5 year olds will still occasionally wet the bed. Most boys are potty trained around the age of 3 for daytime, but don't stop having the occasional accident at night until 4 or 5. Pullups at night are an insurance policy if you will. Some kids are just easier to train than others, and it doesn't mean the parents (or child) are doing anything wrong.MommaLindsey2 wrote:Is it normal for a child to be in pull-ups so long? Just curious I have only potty trained one child and he wore pull-ups for maybe 2 months, they always stayed dry so we just went with underwear and he has never had an accident in his bed.
Good for Boston though, he seemed really exited about his paw patrol toy! My son is also obsessed with that show right now as well. I hate that when Boston goes to kindergarten in the fall though all the kids will know he still wet the bed when he was 4 years old.

I don't actually think the kids at school are going to make a big deal because they don't have the same awareness and will just know that Boston was potty trained awhile ago just as they were. Plus if most of the other 5 year olds are LDS, they probably aren't having a lot of vlog screen time either.
With the comment about going to Kindergarten and having other kids know, I will say as a preschool teacher with 4 and now 5 year olds (as they changed our Kindergarten age date to 5 by August 1st I have a LOT of 5 year olds this year), I have multiple kids who have accidents on occasion or wear pull ups during naptime and you'd be surprised how many of the other kids don't even bat an eye or reveal that they have to wear pull ups at night. It's really not as out of the ordinary as it might seem to a parent whose little one's body easily caught on.
Re: Bonnie and Joel: Pack-Cacking it | Part 13
I love that they seem to appreciate their kids and manage to capture their little personalities. We can get into the ethics of vlogging and all that, but all things equal, Bonnie and Joel really do excel at trying to capture memories they might want to look back on with the kids. Lincoln is sassy, Boston is timid and persistent, Cody is brave and yet sensitive, and Olivia is a nurturing perfectionist. I feel like I really know the Hoellein kids and their interests and I can't say this for many of the other YT kids. Are Jackson and Calvin really into superheroes? Are Finn and Oliver really into Nightmare Before Christmas? Their personalities just get lost somewhere.
Today's vlog was just nice and I love that they aren't squandering the opportunity they have of staying at home with the kids. I'm sure the kids loved the Aviary (eventually) and these vlogs are at least proof that kids don't need daily toys and big epic stunts/parties/collabs to be happy. I also liked that Joel mentioned they saved money by not staying in a hotel. I really do get the impression that they are spending wisely so Joel doesn't have to return to work after YT ends. Not a fan of the Griffiths, but the Hoelleins raised their boys right
Ok. I'll stop sucking knee caps now.
*But their carseat safety definitely does suck and I hate the delay.

I don't lol at vlogs very often, but the little clip of Boston dancing yesterday actually had me laughing.
Today's vlog was extra adorable (tender) and I thoroughly enjoyed, haha. I think the fact that they don't even really have to try makes them so much more enjoyable to watch. I hope they never change.

Today was a cute vlog. A nice family outing and not too much footage which makes me hope they did have good quality time with the kids. It's lovely!

I agree, I liked everyone's faces during the bird show especially.

Bonnie and Joel: Pack-Cacking it | Part 13
Today's vlog actually reminded me why I used to be a Jared fan. He kept to the background and wasn't nearly as loud and obnoxious as he always is now. Of course I'm sure this had more to do with a passive aggressive refusal to add to someone else's content than anything.
Or I really do wonder if Joel is in touch with his audience and what does/doesn't work and if maybe he just edited the more loud and obnoxious moments out?

I really wanna know what time they wake up at in the morning, it seems like they have such a long time in the morning before Olivia and Cody have to go to school...
I assume they wake up pretty early considering they put the kids to bed at 7pm.

Re: Bonnie and Joel: Pack-Cacking it | Part 13
They probably get up at a pretty normal time for school kids around 6:30 or so... we had a 7 or 7:30 bedtime at their ages and had to wake up between 6 and 6:30 to be at school at 7:45. I've thought for a while now that it seems like they have a ton of time in the mornings too but I think their school system must be like the one I work in and have elementary school children starting latest (I hate it by the way). Our elementary school kids don't have to be at school until 9:15 and don't get out until 3:45. My preschoolers start at 9:35 and get out at 4:35. It sucks. I miss my old true teaching 7:45-2:45 hours for sure!alym0326 wrote:I really wanna know what time they wake up at in the morning, it seems like they have such a long time in the morning before Olivia and Cody have to go to school...

I'm so glad Bonnie is listening to her viewers and being more proactive with Boston learning his letters. I felt like Cody was super behind in that area when he was Boston's age and it actually worried me a little bit. I'm happy to hear he's doing okay now, but you just never know.

I'm. Little confused about today's vlogg. She said he debated on cutting that clip with Bree but I didn't see Bree at all today was she talking about a different vlogg? And then she said she said how some companies are difficult to work with she wasn't talking about today's sponsor. Again I did I miss that clip? It seemed a little jumbled more than usual. I normally don't mind the scattered clips of thief day but again I just felt like some were missing.

Re: Bonnie and Joel: Pack-Cacking it | Part 13
So I read here before watching and looked for the answers to your questions as I watched. The sponsor comment was made in the introduction to the bleaching kit and I think she was trying to say that "not all companies are great to work with" but that the whitening company is (and that's why they are a regular sponsor). She just didn't really finish that thought.Kaylor1 wrote:I'm. Little confused about today's vlogg. Bree definitely wasn't with them from what we saw but I got the impression that Bonnie was trying to say that she never knows if she should include the Bree clips in general since that's a help that not everyone has. I think she was trying to multitask by talking to us as she got things done, and it was coming out disjointed and confusing. As a mom I can definitely relate to that!
I also related to Bonnie when she was scrubbing the oil patch because Joel was annoyed. My husband and I have a similar dynamic and I could totally see that being something that could happen at my house
