I remember some fuss about how Ean and Britney are his parents and they will do what they want. Take that as you will. She has always been defensive about it, and as of yet has NOT actually done anything about it. AFTER she sees the specialist and IF she even reports the truth of what the doctor says, then and only then will she get any credit for looking out for Nolan. Thus far, she's done nothing but pretend everything is okay when it's not. She is 6 months behind on knowing what the future holds. Maybe at 6 months they would have said come back at 9 months. Waiting a full year was not the right thing to do. What mother would be okay with not getting as much information and support as quickly as possible? This is the problem with teen moms in general. They are too afraid to do things and think that waiting is okay, when in fact they're just being immature and not wanting to deal with difficult life events. /rant Glad he's finally going to see a doctor, hopefully.

I have no idea how she lives with herself. I would feel so guilty...

If B is doing it just to stop the criticism, I don't think she will take it seriously. She will probably go once, learn some medical jargon, and just repeat it back to us. If they give her exercises or techniques for him to practice at home, I doubt she uses it.

Like someone pointed out before, she's in denial. We all saw the problems and kept pointing them out (and we only see a few clips of her life)! She sees him everyday, 24/7. She's seen the problems but wants to ignore them. She just says that "he's a chunky baby" and "all babies learn at their own pace".

I don't think she's doing it to stop the criticism. I believe it has taken her this long to work herself up to making any moves on it at all. I believe immaturity is the problem for her and maybe Ean too. Most moms would never wait this long. I think she waited out of fear of the unknown, and having to actually face and deal with something that wasn't ever going to be "right". I would have worked up to it immediately, because I would want ALL the knowledge and help and self-help I could muster otherwise I wouldn't be able to sleep at night. I know that's not just me.

Not true at all. I give Britney credit when credit is due like, for example, when I said a few pages back about enjoying one of her vlogs (when they went grocery shopping for Nolan's party). I never said she was a "bad mom". I just think it was selfish of her to push back Nolan's needs because she had a hard time accepting reality. So yes, I have no idea how she lives with herself.

She said in that hand update video, "Why waste a trip to the hand specialist." She looked at the whole situation as a waste and something she didn't want to deal with....

I don't know what is the obsession you all have on nolans hand !! I'm not minion but I clearly remember HIS doctor told her she can wait till his 1 year checkup to see the specialist
HIS doctor is ok with this !! do you all know more than his doctor ???
and she is not taking him because she read your comments she is taking him because since the start she said he will see the specialist at 1 year old
can we move on from the topic ? it is getting boring the whole thread is dedicated to nolan's hand ... or there should a separate thread only for this topic so you can go and repeat the same things over and over again

I agree. I saw too many parents making huge mistakes because they thought they know best... Parents can be subjective and she needs to hear as many objective opinions possible (of course from doctor). Nolan is the cutest little boy and he is perfect to me. Nothing is wrong with him but we are not here to estimate that or Britney or Ean, only doctor can.

I have many friends that are moms and I saw how all of them "force" their babies to do stuff ... Like trying to make them sit or roll ... Holding their hand and letting them stand ... It is a normal behavirol ... You are just talking about it non stop because of his hand .... The other day i was holding my sisters baby (1 year, 2 months) hands and letting him walk ....

Ultimately unless I am mistaken nobody posting regularly on this thread is a doctor or even better, Nolan's doctor. What you would do if it was your child or what you would've done with your children is completely irrelevant because you aren't in that position and that goes to the people saying I would've done what B has done OR those saying she's been irresponsible, you simply do not know.
You don't know in a fleeting 2 minute statement by B months ago on a video what was discussed between her & her doctor that led to her choosing 12 months instead of 6 months as the best time for a review. If the doctor was as concerned as some of you unqualified doctors are I'm pretty sure he would've seen a specialist as and when the doctor dictated.
Even if you strongly believe 6 months would've been a better time frame, that's fine! But at Nolan's age there hasn't been irreparable damage and that's a fact. One of my friends children was on a feeding and draining tube from birth which led to her not being able to work her muscles AT ALL for the first 8 months of her life, she was also diagnosed as having glue year at 2 which caused her severe delays in her speech. By the age of 3 she has a similar muscle tone of other 3 year olds and is only 6 months or so behind in speech.
He will catch up with or without a specialist if that is what the DOCTORS order.

^^^Thank you. Every one here just automatically assumes to know every thing, when really they don't. Offering advice is fine or thoughts, but to bash her as a mother "neglecting" her baby is ridiculous and wrong on so many levels. That's not even gossiping, just being mean.

Any ideas on why was Nolan's blood drawn ? I dont think it's a routine thing ? neither of my kids had their blood drawn at wellbaby visits.
