E+J: Calvin the 6-month-old newborn Part 7
Re: E+J: Calvin the 6-month-old newborn Part 7
Does anyone else remember all the times Ellie's thrown dirty diapers at Jared? Because I do. I've counted three times she's thrown dirty diapers at Jared and one of those times was when Jackson was on Jared. Nice and classy, Ellie.
That one time where Bryan was vlogging and Ellie threw a dirty diaper at Jared and it obviously hurt, he looked pretty pissed. Even Bryan was like, what the fuck?
But I'll bet if Jared threw a dirty diaper at her, Princess would be throwing a hissy fit. I've noticed Missy's been called ''princess'' and I agree, but I view Ellie as the same. There's not much of a difference between her and Missy.

I still don't get why she thinks it's ok to throw dirty diapers at him.

Ellie said that they could order them online, that the bath bombs are on sale now, but it's pretty telling that Jared's first reaction was to offer buying them in SLC but Ellie joked about they got Jackson's -which was his christmas present- and she could use that I guess she can't just take a shower.
You just got some earrings, many knifes and something more that they edited out, just calm down!
I didn't think that they were being too weird, just more tense because Ellie was being more calm -which is how I think they behave usually- and wouldn't go along with Jared who was faking an excitement that wasn't there.

E+J: Calvin the 6-month-old newborn Part 7
Jared said on Snapchat they are doing something super exciting today.
I bet it's SLC and Ellie will get her Lush stuff. I hope they at least go see Grandma Great soon. I don't imagine she went away for Christmas. Ellie and Jared can preach all the time about how much they love and appreciate her, but it's been days now since Christmas and they can't even go see her?

E&J talking about how stressful it is to run 5 errands...TOGETHER!!!!
Does Ellie realize the majority of women/mothers are out running errands on their own with babies/kids?

Re: E+J: Calvin the 6-month-old newborn Part 7
It puzzles me that Ellie needs a filming room in their new house. How often does she make videos for her channel now?
Re: E+J: Calvin the 6-month-old newborn Part 7
They had all day to do the errands! Yes, there was a chiro appt too but the rest of the day was free. And, seriously, how long does it take to go to the bank drive-thru and the post office??
I thought it was funny that Ellie wondered if this vlog was interesting. I actually enjoyed it more than the others they have done lately. We got to hear their thoughts on what type of gift to get Jackson and saw them shop. That's more info than they've given us on anything lately. I'd much rather see more "everyday" vlogs and not the over-the-top stuff.
They said they are travelling to get family pictures taken today. If they are near SLC I'm sure they will stop at Lush for Ellie. I remember when Lush was a treat for her and she would break the bombs in pieces to get more uses out of them. Seems like a nice bath with a pricey bath bomb is more the norm for her these days. She seems to take them a lot.

I hope they get him a good toy(s). They were talking about also getting outdoorsy things for the summer, I was confused if they were talking about for jacksons birthday. I hope they don't get him a summer thing that he can't enjoy (like a bike) he's 2 he wouldn't understand and they can just get that in the spring.

My guess is a bike. They were saying all that while near the bikes. Also, while talking you can catch a glimpse of a bike helmet in jareds hand. It's a good idea but not for his birthday. He needs something he can play with now, not come spring.

Re: E+J: Calvin the 6-month-old newborn Part 7
They can say they are getting toys for hiking and stuff, but what Ellie really wants is probably things for the backyard.
Again, no toys inside.
That said, this vlog was way better! More like things used to be. The fact that Ellie said it was different from what they usually do tells me that they really don't realize how much they've changed. We used to see the running from place to place. Now we hear about the busy day, but really have no idea what they did. Everything is a secret!
They mentioned yesterday that they had a serious talk with one another to about how well they were doing with everything. It really seems like Jared knows what the problems are and why views are down. Hopefully he's able to turn things around and it's not just another New Years Resolution. Now if only they would lay off the over the top praise of eachother and their relationship, then maybe I could actually enjoy them again without heavy eye rolling (look we're holding hands, Ellie is great and made sandwiches, etc).
I don't see the gym thing working out though. My guess is the trainer/dietician is going to rub Ellie the wrong way.

I am SO glad to hear that the trainer is also a dietitian. That's what she will benefit from the most. Fingers crossed it works out for her. I think eating better could also improve her mood. I know it does for me!
And I 100% agree HelloSweetie1!! This vlog was a billion times better. I actually watched the entire thing and didn't fast forward! I like when they show what they're doing rather than just telling us about it later. And they didn't mind saying babysitter this time

He legitimately sounded concerned that she needs a dietician. Let's hope she sticks to it and it helps her.

I hope so too. The bones in Ellie's face are sticking out and she just looks so jagged. She needs way more calories and lots of healthy fats.zipadeedodah wrote:He legitimately sounded concerned that she needs a dietician. Let's hope she sticks to it and it helps her.

Re: E+J: Calvin the 6-month-old newborn Part 7
I think that's great they both are planning on going to the gym. I don't think they will be able to succeed goodness together though honestly.
Ellie has trouble leaving Calvin with Jared, let alone a stranger. The gym daycare can be anyone and (assuming it's not a small facility) she won't necessarily see the same people everytime she drops him off.
Trading off watching the kids and having a little alone time for both E&J might have been better.
Guess we'll see

I'm not sure if gym day cares work the same way as normal day cares. But there SHOULD Be at least one registered early childhood educator in that room, and that person is usually full time in the room - if that's the case she should try and get close to them so that she can learn to trust someone else with Calvin and Jackson.

They're not in a big city, I wouldn't be surprised if it's a small place.HelloSweetie1 wrote:I think that's great they both are planning on going to the gym. I don't think they will be able to succeed goodness together though honestly.

Except small gyms don't tend to have drop in childcare. I would guess they would need to have 4-5 kids an hour to justify the cost of a provider. Unless it's already factored into everyone's membership of course.meganshay wrote:They're not in a big city, I wouldn't be surprised if it's a small place.HelloSweetie1 wrote:I think that's great they both are planning on going to the gym. I worked in a gym daycare years ago when my oldest was a baby (in exchange for free membership) and that wasn't the case. I think gym daycares probably have different standards than a licensed daycare.alym0326 wrote:I'm not sure if gym day cares work the same way as normal day cares. True! I'd guess they're going to a golf or racquet club type of place vs a standard Gold's Gym type. But that's just me speculating.HelloSweetie1 wrote:Except small gyms don't tend to have drop in childcare. I would guess they would need to have 4-5 kids an hour to justify the cost of a provider. I used to work in one too. Our crèche manager had a degree in childcare but I think that was just coincidence. Everyone who worked in the Childcare was a mother just earning a little extra cash by working a couple of hours a day. The service was part of your membership.
The gym I go to at the moment is different it's also what's called occasional care so you can drop your kids off for a few hours and leave the building and everyone who works there has Childcare qualifications. You pay per session at this gym not part of your membership. Depends on where you go I guess
