I respectfully disagree with the posters not worried about his speech. Although it is common for kids his age to mispronounce some words, Ollie cant even pronounce hot tub, ollie, dino poop for example. Words he says everyday he cant pronounce. I can only think of one word that he pronounces correctly and that is Bye. He obviously understands what people are saying and knows what he wants to say but has a seriously hard time pronouncing easy words. It wouldnt hurt to have him looked at at least to get some recommendations on some exercises they can do.

To add to this, he can't even say "doggie" correctly, and that's a word he's known for over a year....B&M usually properly pronounce that when they say it to him/have him say it.

I'm not extremely concerned, just sort of hope they actually notice and it's something they're being honest to themselves and Oliver's doctors about, not sweeping it under the rug as if there's no possible issues...

Everyone has an opinion on this matter but I am just going by what the health nurses where I live tell us. It doesn't matter that he can't say the words he uses every day. My son says kitty every day. Several times. But still says ditty. Completely normal. Until they are 3.5 years old. But I do agree, it can't hurt to get some recommendations. My son is 2.5 and I have looked into recommendations because early detection is the key. Worst they can say is he's fine nothing to worry about.


BTW, I just love Bryan's snaps. Not. Sneezing into the camera on snap. Taking craps on snap. Cheers for that.

Daycare or Preschool would do wonders for Ollie. He needs to know how to socialise with kids his own age and be pulled into time if he tries to hit or push another child. Also playing with blocks, drawing, painting, crafts and colouring there will help him developmentally. I don't think Ollie has any severe learning difficulties (I am an early childcare teacher) just shitty parents that aren't teaching him anything. If Ollie can learn the names of dinosaurs then he should have no problems identifying colours and shapes. He is a clever little boy and it's a shame his parents don't take the time to teach him things.

Long time lurker, first time posting. Is it bad for babies to be in the hot tub? This is my first initial thought when I saw Finn and Calvin in the hot tub. They could of also changed the temperature so it's not so hot, but then again this is B&M and E&J.

It is if it's warm enough to enjoy. Missy claims they keep it at a safe temp. I'm not inclined to believe her though.

I don't know. I have a hot tub, and keep it at 37 degrees which is technically body temperature. But when you submerge down into it, it's lovely. It doesn't need to be overly hot to be enjoyable. Besides, they're in Cali. We just finished summer here, but you don't need it up much hotter then 37 when the temperature outside is hot.

I 100% agree with you. It's completely normal to not understand about half of what a two year old says. However, like you said, it is hard to understand most of the things that Ollie says. If Bryan and Missy didn't say the word before Ollie said it, I would have no idea what he was saying.

What's more surprising is that they have a gardener, probably a cleaning lady and a pool cleaner as well to do things they don't want to do or are too busy to do themselves. I don't understand why they haven't enrolled him in daycare or preschool yet. That's like the perfect excuse for Missy to go to Starbucks or Target or the hair salon while he's there a couple of days a week.

I don't know why Missy doesn't wear more age appropriate clothing and also why she doesn't cover her top up a little more - it's totally wrong for the little kids who watch their videos!

I could say a lot about Missy's choice of clothing but I've never really thought she wore anything that was super revealing. what are you referring to?

Hey I actually meant when she is wearing super low cut tops, and she sometimes (unintentionally I'm sure) ends up showing major cleavage which is just super innappropriate on the vlogs that kids watch. I just flicked back through their videos and there is two things that I've noticed.

1: They were talking about saving money, something that's beneath them now.
2: Bryan is a lot thinner and healthier looking than he is now. At present, he's a sweaty, out of breath pig.

Vlogs aren't for kids.

Vlogs are adults doing adult things. Parents should be monitoring what their children watch online.
They may pander to their young viewers, but it doesn't make them a children's show, and it doesn't mean kids should be allowed to watch.

If someone lets their kids watch adult content then they have to accept that it will include adults acting like adults. That will include occasional inappropriate jokes and innuendo, some cuss words and a few cleavage shots. Don't like it? Then don't give your kid unrestricted access to YouTube.

They built their own park so that they don't have to take him out to a public one where he might make friends, they took him to ONE gymnastics class and never took him back although he looked like he had a blast, they put him in private swim classes instead of group ones. The purposely keep him away from other kids. Its sad and unhealthy for him. I honestly wouldn't put it past them if they didn't enroll him in school and did a sort of home school co op with Hannah being the teacher. Plus they have said before that Ollie "doesn't need friends"

This. And, Ollie is their cash cow. I doubt that kids want to watch Melissa get her hair done and do her Starbucks runs. These two are just such failures at parenting. Makes me wonder if they had kids bc they thought it was the "expected" thing to do. Not saying they don't love the boys, but geez Louise they are crappy parents.

Plus, they are soooo busy! Who has time to drive 5-20 minutes (I don't know how far these classes are from them) to go to a class where missy will have that deer in headlights look that she had at the pool? She is very awkward and she's trying to protect herself then do something with Ollie. Plus we know Bryan won't go. And even if Mimi went with them, they will basically shun themselves, say it's too much of a hassle or Ollie didn't like it or they are too busy and stop going.
