Eh, I can't fault them for wanting to use Uber in a completely unfamiliar country with two small children, and at certain times, their luggage. No dealing with maps, directions, and unfamiliar territory. Instead they can get in a car, get where they'd like to go without worrying, and ask their driver any questions they might have. I wouldn't want to ride unfamiliar public transportation with two toddlers either.

Daily Typhoid Lannings (Part 76)

Unread post by kittypurry »

Ollie's gonna flip his shit when he opens the " DIY" advent calendar expecting chocolate like last year and instead gets slips of paper telling him to do things like "clean your playroom"

Edit: she just mentioned she's putting chocolate in as well. But I doubt Ollie's going to do the activity after he gets the chocolate, I would have him do the activity and then give him chocolate after.

If taxis are the same as Uber what's the gripe with them taking one over the other?

I don't know what London taxis are like, but in the US, taxis suck. They're dirty, smelly, and often plagued with "broken" card readers forcing you to pay in cash, which you might not have, so the driver will drive you to an atm or idle outside your house, bumping up the fares. Ubers, however, have a rating system that holds drivers and passengers accountable, and I've even heard of Uber drivers with complimentary drinks and snacks in their cars to keep passengers happy. They're also usually much cheaper.

I'll end this post by saying that I don't need to hear about anyone's taxi driver uncle who doesn't fit into my stereotypes and gave free rides to homeless people or whatever.

I wasn't meaning that taxis and Uber are the exact same. Just that it's the same concept, really. Also, I'm willing to assume that taxis in London are a bit nicer than ones in the US, as they probably have certain standards they have to uphold or something. They're bound to be cleaner than any taxi you're going to find in New York or LA, but I could be wrong. I've never been to London sooo

But I really don't think money is an object for these two. They just want Uber because it's trendy, easy, and a little more private I guess. They could literally just order a limo and have it drag them around...dear God I hope they don't do that.

I doubt they'll ever get a taxi because I'm sure they hold themselves up above subways, taxis, and walking. But that's just probably because Bryan can walk two blocks before having to sit down and rest.

I don't want to get political, but has anyone noticed or mentioned that Bryan follows Trump on Twitter?

So, uh...yeah. We know who he voted for.

He's also following Hillary, and President Obama and Michelle. I don't think it's an indication of who he voted for.

Taxi's and uber here are exactly the same thing, apart from the fact you can track where your uber is on the app that's it. Our taxi's are generally not what you're describing the US ones to be thankfully.

Well if taxis suck so much in the US, that's probably why Bryan was asking his Twitter following how the Uber service was! Doesn't mean they're definitely going to use it over taxis, they are probably just looking into the best way to get around. Who wants to take bets that they "accidentally" order a limo everywhere >.<.

Oh my goodness these people need to STOP with with the "We're so busy!". Bryan saying the morning was CRAZY, he had a meeting, and researched their trip. Excuse me?? Since when is planning a leisure vacation having a crazy morning?? When I worked full time and was planning my trip to Vietnam and Cambodia, it was my fun time!!

And Missy saying that she doesn't have time to go to the dentist and that making a video was part of the "chores" she did that morning...umm, the video was making a fun advent calendar for your child!!

Also..... I was never on board before with everyone here saying they love Finn less, but I think I am finally convinced that Ollie is definitely their favourite child. How could she make the advent calendar only for Ollie, and do nothing for Finn, not even put a little treat in there for him as well? He is still little, and may not be able to open the baubles or follow instructions, but he could at least get his own little treat?? He's going to be watching Ollie get a chocolate every single day in December and he gets nothing??? WTF!!

This is the first time I have ever seen Missy sit down with her kids and read a book....like we know they did it for film but still....that's just sad.

Ollie speech was completely horrible in today's vlog...I didn't understand anything he was saying....especially when Bryan was speaking to him about London....they really need to take this seriously and take him to a specialist. He's not even seen with any word games where he can practice pronouncing and speaking in full sentences.

Okay...so not to be mean...but when Ollie plays with this guns....he makes this crazy face and I can totally see him growing up and wanting to have real guns. Bryan and Missy seem to think they are the advocates of parents so clearly they need to get their act together and pick up some parenting books!

I like how she said Ollie could bring food to the dog shelter because there's lots of homeless animals that need homes.... yet they bought their cat form a breeder for some absurd amount of money... instead of adopting one of the many homeless cats... - _ -

Just sharing my opinion....I'm not a fan of the new decorations in Finny's room. He's a cute little toddler and deserves to have adorable things in his room....this kind of decor doesn't even go with his personality. I have a feeling Missy did it because she had so many of succulents left over and wanted to use them up :?

I was also grossed out by the kids running around barefoot with chicken poop on the floor outside....why don't they put shoe's on their kids? Also that scene when they entered Hobby Lobby and Ollie had massive laces on the floor, they are both the dumbest parents alive to let him walk around like that.....one trip and he could seriously hurt himself.

So confession time....when they were eating spaghetti for dinner...I kept looking in the back to see take out containers....there is no way they cooked that dinner at home....Missy is a lazy ass and let's face it...Bryan would rather spend money than do work :D
Agree about Finns room. Didn't like it at all.

They _say_ she's too active and doesn't end up on camera much. Who knows what the truth is... If they wanted a lazy cat, they shouldn't have spent $1000 on a Bengal!

I don't think it's a big deal that they don't show the cat much. I have two cats and they are off doing their own thing. It bothers me that they don't show Karma often and when they do, he's usually outside watching them. Poor baby. I don't understand that type of pet owner. I'm sure it won't be long until they get a puppy.

Missy posted a picture of a Belle and Lumiere ornament saying it's her favorite ornament.

WE GET IT, MISSY. YOU LIKE BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. I just feel like she's trying REALLY hard to act like it's been her fave forever.

Also, people in the comments are saying, "SLAY!" and all I can hear is Bryan's voice. Why this

They haven't. They're going to be too busy spending in London.
First Class tickets from LAX to Heathrow start at $8,000.
These people make my head explode. You know they ain't flying coach. They're going to have the hot towels and slippers...
