I think Missy acts the way she does because she is embarrassed of Bryan's flamboyance.actuallydear wrote:Same. I'm in no way sticking up for them but pigeons are not defenceless animals they are flying rats basically and are everywhere! Secondly it's actually quite common, you see people letting their kids chase them everyday. I'm pretty sure me and my siblings did too they are used to it, that's why they don't completely fly off just go like a foot away.singlepostallady wrote:I was livid when I saw Bryan encourage Ollie to chase the birds. 1) If I had taken my 3yr old son to England when I went he would have been in a stroller or holding my hand. Not chasing birds in a very public and busy area of London. 2) I taught my son to appreciate nature not terrorize defenseless animals. That being said I eat meat. I am okay with hunting for food. Bryan you are an asshat and your teaching your son to be just as foul and annoying as yourself.

I just feel bad for their marriage in general but given how Missy was raised, do you think she would be happy with anyone?
I think they were happy early on in their YT career when they were pregnant with Ollie but I think being a mother wasn't what Missy expected whether she had PPD or not. She was probably groomed from a young age to believe she was just supposed to get married and make babies and Bryan happened to be the one she was with when she became legal.
Idk. I'd love to know the entire story behind their young marriage/divorce/remarriage.

Few pet hates about this trip
1. Filming as he walks. Actually he's done that a lot before the trip.. seriously stop. I don't care to see your bloody feet and watch you try and walk like an idiot (he does this weird walking in a line thing).
2. Missy's jeans. I dunno what it is, but they don't seem to be the right shape for her body and her legs have no shape. Swear she is wearing them every day!
3. Ollie getting candy every day. First thing in the morning before brekkie?? And Finn not getting any of ollies precious candy
4. That bryan feels it is ok to insult the accent, insult the food names, and insult the way things are. News flash Bryan, not everything is like the US. I am from Australia, and London seem to do things similar to us.. it's driving me insane listening to him say how they are doing it wrong etc. Why? Because the US do it that way? Every country is different, and for the record, here in Australia we call them hot chips not fries (unless you go to mcdonalds) so I guess that means Australia is doing it wrong too? He's so rude & arrogant about it.
5. I had to laugh when he acted so arrogant(and missy) about his cheque please French speaking and the guy couldn't understand him. He was so sure he said it right and the French guy was weird. I found a comment in the thread that he said it wrong hahaha! he actually said, verify please not cheque. Seriously- do not whinge on a vlog that you are talking French right, when a French person clearly had no idea what you were saying. You were wrong buddy.

Re: DailyFinleyPotter&TheDursleys (Part 77)
All of those. Yes. I've been one of the loudest critics, and I am sorry if I gave the impression that they are doing it "wrong" because they aren't doing it the way I would. But it's their arrogance about the way they're doing it. Guess what-- you can barely speak American English. Don't complain that the French waiter didn't understand you. And England has been around a LOT longer than the U.S. Just because the U.S. does something one way doesn't make the way other countries do it wrong. This is why other countries don't like us, why there is a stereotype of the "ugly American", and why my sister who lives in England tells people she's Canadian We're the only "civilized country left that can't handle the metric system. Bryan is making such an ass of himself, and Missy just looks bored and unimpressed. I want to shake them both.

Re: DailyFinleyPotter&TheDursleys (Part 77)
Yes, I was also criticizing the way they are going about this trip, but not because I am jealous (although of course I am - I have had my fair share of traveling, but am still jealous of anyone who has the funds to do it carefree and whenever they want!). But they are putting this out there in the world for everyone to see, and they are acting out the annoying American stereotype without taking even a second to think about how their actions come across to others. To be fair, they are not being quite as bad as I expected, but still.
It just perplexes me how they can be so ignorant and narcissistic about everything, all the time, which is also extending to this London trip. They are the only vloggers that I pretty much hate-watch, and every other family vlogger I watch is able to express their point of view when they receive criticism, without just being flat out defensive, "you're all wrong because we're the best and anyone who criticizes us is a hateful troll".
I feel like a lot of it is that they are just not interested in "being real". They have found a vlogging formula that rakes in the dough and they now have no interest in actually sharing their thoughts and feelings about things with the internet. But even that is aggravating too, because the whole premise of the channel that made them famous is sharing their "ups and downs", and they just don't do that. They are raking in cash but they barely even show themselves being grateful, unless they think calling everything "awesome" and "so cool" is the same thing as expressing gratitude.

There's that old saying:ewokfan11 wrote:Well, that's because they ARE uneducated. They both have very basic high school educations from rural Idaho - not known as an education powerhouse state.daisy1000 wrote:However, I feel like they are so uneducated.
Part of me believes they don't even know what they are missing when they travel because they were never taught anything about these places other than pop culture and Disney. They certainly don't seem the type to study or learn anything about these places independently. Did they even buy a travel guide in advance??

I've lived In London all my life and I'm actually really enjoying the vlogs. I Think hes showing my beautiful city quite well and to be fair they have done quite a lot of things already in only a few days. Missy does look miserable a lot though but i expect they are all knackered with jet lag time difference and all the walking they are doing as they arent usually so active lol
Re: DailyFinleyPotter&TheDursleys (Part 77)
Of course Missy's parents came on this trip. SOMEONE had to watch all 4 children.

Re: DailyFinleyPotter&TheDursleys (Part 77)
I wouldn't be so critical of them if they showed just a little bit of gratitude and appreciation for this trip. It really is unbelievable how entitled they are considering that 4 years ago they were living in a garage. They probably never would have been able to take trip to Europe if it wasn't for the people who take the time to watch their videos every day.

She was raised fundamentalist Christian, which means she was likely taught to be the typical subservient, domesticated woman who gets married, pops out babies, and stays home. She probably never had a chance to stop and think if that's what she really personally wanted.Scar2016 wrote:Wait, what happened in her childhood? But don't you know? THEY "earned" the trip. Just like the house. THEY saved and saved and are doing what THEY want to do and filming it for THEMSELVES, not the people who really bought the trip/house/everything they currently have.pllfan5 wrote:I wouldn't be so critical of them if they showed just a little bit of gratitude and appreciation for this trip. Let's be real though, Missy is in no way subservient. Mimi isn't either. Unless Jim and Jimmy are very different behind closed doors, they are completely owned by the Hollister women.tintin15 wrote:She was raised fundamentalist Christian, which means she was likely taught to be the typical subservient, domesticated woman who gets married, pops out babies, and stays home. Missy pops out babies to stay home because she's lazy af... not because she wants to be a mother. I think she probably wanted to be a mom when she had Ollie, but after learning it's hard work she's completely checked out. The only reason she wants a daughter is because she thinks it's an automatic best-friend. She's delusional.

I have a weird theory, wasn't there an assumption that Slyfox was supposed to attend this trip? So it would have been Missy, Bryan, Tal, Jeff, Hanna, and Andrew. Maybe it was supposed to be some kind of couples only trip? That's why Missy is so pissy and uninterested because she didn't really want to bring the kids?

i loved seeing how happy ollie was in today's vlog when they visited the dinosaur museum.
lol @ bryan saying they're keeping ollie away from the fountain because he may fall in. wouldn't have that made a great clickbait "TODDLER FALLS IN BUCKINGHAM PALACE FOUNTAIN".

I loved seeing Ollie so excited at the museum. I dont think i've seen him that excited. He really does love dinos. Missy must read here. Finn got a toy from the gift shop and he got to open a ball and eat the chocolate from the advent calendar because they missed a day.

Re: DailyFinleyPotter&TheDursleys (Part 77)
I don't think i have seen Missy without her phone in her hand this whole trip. What the hell is she doing? I really wonder if she's like this at home as well, but we just dont see it bc of editing or if shes just being this way on this trip. it's so strange
"we are doing touristy things today..." ummmmm so what exactly have you been doing up until this point?
Missy saying "I think he thinks we are going to see live dinosaurs.." Well of course he is you dope, you and Bryan have been telling him from the start that he was going to see "real dinosaurs" what did you think he thought?!!??
I totally think they got in trouble for touching the skeleton. There is a man in a purple jacket with an ID badge in the background watching their every move. Right before the scene cut, the guy stops and looks like hes about to double back to say something too them. Why do they encourage behavior like that??????? Throughout the rest of the vlog he's climbing on EVERYTHING... They are pulling him off stuff the whole time. Teach this child how to behave, good lord!!
Ollie really seemed to love the dinos, I'm glad they took him to something like this. It's the first time i have seen that child actually excited about something in MONTHS.
Holy shit, Finn got a toy.. Hell has frozen over..
Annnnnd tomorrow we will get to hear about how Bryan shit the hotel bed and got "food poisoning" yet again. I guess he thinks of he ignores the dr's advice about his gallbladder for long enough it will just heal itself..

Re: DailyFinleyPotter&TheDursleys (Part 77)
I'm laughing so hard at Missy's twitter right now... She asked where they should go to dinner and here are some places people have suggested..
Nando's (which im not sure what that is but i think they have eaten there at least twice so far, so I'm assuming its American fare)
Pizza Express
Hard Rock cafe
Pizza Hut (mentioned at least 5 times)
Domino's Pizza ("It's amazing and Ollie would love it!!")
Five Guys
McDonalds
KFC
And lots of people are suggesting Indian food, bc apparently there are some amazing Indian places. Which sounds great to me, but they do realize that this is Missy we are talking about right? I assume thats why everyone was suggesting "american" fast food joints, they know Missy isn't eating ANYTHING other than "american" or or pasta (and shes not even adventurous with the pasta "i want the closest thing to spaghetti')
