For someone who spent her whole childhood in private schools, I can say that there is a lot of corruption going on, especially in California. Most ivy schools (Harvard Westlake, JTD, Campbell Hall, etc.) are filled with celebrity kids and believe me, half of them are not smart at all and just got in because mommy and daddy payed for a new playground or lab computers. All parents have to do is pay up (I'm not saying that's happening in every private school) Bryan and Missy could use their money to at least give their sons a chance to succeed. Saying Olliver will never get in because his parents are dumb AF is just saying the poor kid is doomed to serve fast food the rest of his life. It's not because a kid has low IQ parents that he does too, otherwise my mother and aunt would be working in a factory instead of being lawyer and doctor.
Celebrities have status and class. B&M have neither. I still say they wouldn't stand a chance. Corrupt system or not. Plus let's be real here, B&M won't drive a half hour and spend $20 to take him to the local Children's museum, they are not going to buy a playground.
And who said Oliver is dumb AF? You keep saying that, but no one that I've seen has put this on Oliver. It's his parents. We've said he's delayed, because he is! We've said he's shit down and not very engaged in things, which I stand by. He's not dumb, but he's not an independent learner. By now I would have expected him to have learned a lot more with the amount of time he spends on the iPad. He's either not using learning apps, or they aren't registering for him. He may have potential, but it's not the job of a school to pull off a miracle and somehow draw it out of him while his parents sit back and do nothing . They won't encourage him, challenge him and help him do his homework. If anything, they will only hold him back, make excuses and enable him. This is the life Oliver has. These are the parents he has. The only people that could maybe help make a difference and turn things around for him are the Hollisters (because they have influence), but they are too busy enabling their socially stunted, baby making daughter.
But hey, maybe the child is gifted and he'll benefit the second he puts his toe in the door. I mean, swimming lessons went well and Missy was able to let him kearn without interfering.... oh, wait.
