I'm Canadian and mostly everyone here begins training at 2.5. I was trained before my sister was born (20 months apart) but regressed when she was born.

I fully believe in waiting until a child can communicate with words that they have to pee or poop. My son was just potty trained at 3 years old. Yes that is later than most but it was a fairly easy process that he understands fully and he is happy about it.

Also I see nothing wrong with introducing Levi to the potty but I really hope they don't start formally potty training him this early.

Im a toddler teacher at a private school and our class currently ranges from 16 months- 25 months and 7 of the 15 children are fully potty trained and every child can all use the words "pee" "poopoo" "diaper" (for when they need to be changed), and can easily communicate with us if they need to go. Its perfectly healthy to start early and I myself was potty trained at 18 months. If communication is what youre worried about, maybe the parents that choose to do this should just start the words related to it earlier on and make sure they understand so they pick up on what to say and when.
Are you in the United States? Just curious where all the early potty trainers are from. Everyone I know trains from 2-3. My 15 month old says poopoo but that doesn't mean I'm going to potty train him or that I think he is ready.

Yes, Im in Virginia. However, I will say I think that having the older kids as an example helps a lot! They see the older toddlers using the "big kid" bathroom and are very interested in doing EVERYTHING they do. When our first few got potty trained the next couple picked up on it quick and the ones that arent fully potty trained really seem to want to be. I will say I think its odd we have so many so young that are potty trained, but when there are so many kids around theyre able to learn from each other.

I think having a child potty train at three is kind of late, (not that I am criticizing parents who do that!) I don't know how it's working in the US but I entered in school when I was 2,5 years (I supposed it's what is called kindergarden in english) so that's why I was potty trained way before I turned two, same with both my sisters (and we never had any health problem, I prefer to precise since I read someone saying that it could cause problems for an unknown reason...).

Some one on twitter tweeted her and ChannonRose about doing a collab... and I'm thinking like.?? Channon is 30 and an ex porn star. And K is how old? 19? And is a Ytvlogmom.. what the hell could the two possibly collab together? That was just the most ridiculous tweet I've read today.

What's with all the name nagging? It's perfectly normal to not have a named picked out until baby comes. A lot of people think of favorites but decide when they see the baby. And outside youtube most moms I know don't even tell people the baby's name until it's born in case anything changes. It's not that weird they haven't announced it?

I'm Canadian and was trained just after turning one. It honestly doesn't matter where you're from. Every parent has their own opinion on the matter. If you feel like your child is capable and ready- go for it! If you don't think they're ready yet- wait. There will always be differing opinions.

On a different note- I don't think it's strange that they haven't announced the baby's name yet. We had our daughter's name for months before she was born but we decided to keep it to ourselves until she was here. Drove everyone nuts but oh well lol It's what we chose to do.

Agreed. Also digging how hard Kyra is trying to learn to cook. That salmon in today's vlog looked yummy.

Random thought. How are they planning on potty training if Levi can't get out of his crib? Just do day training I guess?? Idk
And the vlogs have been so good lately. It makes me want to keep watching. The drone footage got annoying. Whatever they're doing now I hope they keep it up.

Also, I hope Jess's situation makes OKbaby think. It's a serious situation that a lot of people can learn from. But we all know that OKbaby is a serial offender on unsafe sleeping situations.

And this isn't in anyway playing down Jess's situation. That's a scary place to be in.
Is there a reason you think that? Have they mentioned that name? I hope not, it's hideous and also pretty sure what Catelynn from Teen Mom named her kid.

oscar accidentally said it in a younow a long time ago. they said they're not using it anymore but who knows if they said that just to make people not think it is the name anymore. also they already know how they're going to announce it so they would have done it by now if it was novalee. it's down to 2 and i think that's quite silly that it's taking them so long.
I don't think it's silly, whether they or not they haven't announced it because oscar said it, they just want to be sure. Some babies are easier to name then other, so although with levi they knew sooner, with her they may wait til the day shes born and see what fits her better.

I haven't watched okbaby in soooo long. I stopped when I got annoyed of how much they were like backhanded to each other if that makes sense. He makes fun of her and she talks about him. It's so unhealthy. God I remember when she went to the doctor a couple months after having Levi and he was like, kyra was 140 pounds when she was pregnant guys she was so big and I was like wtf? That's not even big. They're both evil to each other. I think oscar is a sociopath no lie.

Considering Levi was premature and is 15 months, I do think that's a bit early to be potty trained. especially if they don't make underwear for kids less than 2 years. But again not judging anyone who potty trained there kids early!

Besides the potty training stuff anyone notice that Levi was flushing the toilet holding his toothbrush and then put it in his mouth

This debate about potty training is so interesting to me because of how different everyone proceeds. In my family potty training starts when the baby starts walking. And before that some light form of elimination communication (I didn't know it had a name until recently) to get them used to what's coming.

I think Kyra and Oscars know best in this topic, I don't really think we can judge based on video. My only criticism is that as usual they don't plan. I don't understand why they hadn't bought the underwear before getting started. I felt bad for Levi walking around commando. Who knows how long it was until Kyra came back from the store. It may seem trivial but babies deserve some dignity too.

Poor Levi will regress when the baby comes but props for trying I guess

In my culture, kids are toilet trained early. I was fully toilet trained by 20 months. My daughter though - different story (but she is ASD though). 2 years 7 months out of nappies in the day time and the night nappy finally went at 4.5 years.

Here in Australia its quite common for 3 year olds to be in nappies still. It is quite scary and cannot be healthy

Those who potty train early, how long did it take your child to be day AND night trained though? How long did you potty train for?
