8 Passengers: Resident Evil | Part Three
Re: 8 Passengers: Resident Evil / Part Three
Does Ruby ever watch her children? I'm not trying to mom shame here, but it's almost like she purposely goes off and hides from Eve and Russell so they will get into mischief that she can use for vlog fodder. In today's video they take a HUGE box of pull ups off the porch, open it and spread the pull ups all over Russell's room AND Eve gets scissors and cuts up the pillowcase. How on earth did two small children carry a huge box of pull ups up the stairs and open it???
Re: 8 Passengers: Resident Evil / Part Three
I found today's video disturbing. This woman has too many kids to devote any meaningful time to.
Add to that, they've all lost touch with reality it seems.

And who posts that kind of thing on the internet? I would be mortified if my kids were that bratty and left unsupervised long enough to do that!Pency wrote:Does Ruby ever watch her children? This family is too much. Julie filming with her I pod and the rest of the kids laughing when she was "discipling"
But it's alright because according to her she doesn't want lumps on logs for kids. So fucked up.

Re: 8 Passengers: Resident Evil / Part Three
I feel like Eve runs that house… they're "done" with disciplining the kids because they've had so many, but that's not how it works? All kids need discipline, not just the early ones.

Then if Ruby does try to discipline, all the other kids laugh and Shari was comforting Eve. It's a mess.

Re: 8 Passengers: Resident Evil / Part Three
This channel needs to take a break and I mean NOW!
The parents have lost touch with reality. As soon as it started and there was a huge box of pull ups for a 3 and 5 year old, that's when I knew Ruby has been neglecting her kids severely for her youtube career and the Dad is just as much to blame because he is always MIA. Their kids are not even in high school yet, they need to re-evaulate immediately.
This sh-t is crazy!!!

Re: 8 Passengers: Resident Evil / Part Three
If she actually does discipline them off camera, im really not surprised the kids dont even care. Like when eve came in one video saying she peed in a closet she was like "hahahahahahah ok." and eve walks away. Like, seriously ? With rubys common sense i could totally see her attempting to "discipline" her hours later in a "look me in the eyes, you dont pee in closets!Ok?ok" and done way lol

Re: 8 Passengers: Resident Evil / Part Three
I feel like Ruby was an incredibly strict mother to her older kids, but as she had more and more she stopped caring. Youtube was the final nail in the coffin, because any mischief makes for an interesting video. I feel like she subtly encourages it, even.

Re: 8 Passengers: Resident Evil / Part Three
Jennifer needs to get her oldest and youngest daughters out from under the dollar signs and back on track as mothers. I noticed in a recent vlog that Jackson is still in diapers. Not a "night time pull up" but a middle of the day full on diapered three year old. Pullups for Eve who is ... what, almost 4? Shredded pillow cases, a pull up party, these kids are out of control. And for Ruby to justify it by saying she wants kids with personality - wtf?

Re: 8 Passengers: Resident Evil / Part Three
Okay so l will give her this.... l have 3 kids in a 6yr span, so only half the amount of 8 passengers. I am definitely different third time around. I am way more tired and dare l say a bit worn down at times. But what does that look like most the time, it means I drag my 40 something yr old butt to the offender (a much wider one than my 30 yr old butt might l add) and deal with it. With my first I had read books on discipline and was so determined to get it perfect. I was armed and ready to meet her every offense with all the appropriate measures ,being sure to do it in just the correct tone (not to harsh not to soft), ready to multiply her # of years x minutes for the perfect well thought out timeout etc. Fast forward to your last child l think we all learn that every offense doesn't have to be taken so seriously. I was harder on my first and yes sometimes a little sass from my 6yr old gets occasionally overlooked intentionally. I do see 8 passengers point about not disciplining in the videos. The only issue with that is don't show the offense then act surprised when people think you don't deal with it. It just makes no sense. Is it me or did she had a borderline passive aggressive tone in saying "this is our 6th time around blah blah blah" Ruby is dead wrong IMO about it being normal misbehavior for 3 yr old to REPEATEDLY destroy furniture with markers, sheets, & other household belongings. I taught preschool for years and if Ruby were to send her children to the... dare l say it... dungeon of preschool... oh shudder... she would learn that repeated blatant disrespect towards authority and the rights of others would eventually get Eve kicked out. This is prescously a portion of what preschools addresses though. It's not just about #'s and letters, its how to live in a group and community and get along / cooperate. How to not wack a kid over the head who steals your shovel in the sandbox. Rather to talk it out and compromise. Cutting the head off the stuff animal was the first thing I've ever seen in a vlog that actually resembles an appropriate attempt to teach an egocentric preschooler that "this is how that feels" since this is not the 1st time Eve has destroyed property. I think 3 yr olds don't know how to ask for more attention when it's lacking, my guess this is Eves way. I would wonder what happens when the camera is not on filming. Side note, anyone else find it interesting whose stuff Eve always seems to destroy. Never a siblings or even anything Kevin cares about...hmmmmmm

Re: 8 Passengers: Resident Evil / Part Three
Exactly!!! They need to cut the BS. None of the younger kids, heck even the older ones, are going to take any "discipline" seriously when 2-3 other kids are standing next to you laughing. They need to get their priorities in check. "I don't want kids who are good all of the time" why? I know plenty of "good" kids who are full of personality. Talk about a train wreck!ACarATorchAJess wrote:Then if Ruby does try to discipline, all the other kids laugh and Shari was comforting Eve. It's a mess.

Re: 8 Passengers: Resident Evil / Part Three
Maybe it's because she claims that Eve is her last one, so she doesn't care anymore.
Re: 8 Passengers: Resident Evil / Part Three
I'm almost 100% certain that Ruby told Eve to take the diapers off the porch and have a party. Mostly because she kept saying she needed it for a video when she didn't have any of the other products like kleenex etc. It also just seemed so staged, especially when Russel told her she should've filmed them doing it. She promotes bad behaviour for the camera and I'm sure she's thrilled when Eve actually does something wrong because that means she can have a whole vlog dedicated to it!
Re: 8 Passengers: Resident Evil / Part Three
So much for her saying she doesn't discipline on camera. The last half of the vlog was "discipline". Anything she said probably went through the kids heads because she was filming with all the older kids laughing

Re: 8 Passengers: Resident Evil / Part Three
Ruby seemed ELATED when Kevin suggested cutting up Russel's blanket. Then the video just took a dark turn when she told Eve that she'd cut her favorite toy's head off. Come on! I wonder how she usually disciplines because this seemed cruel and unusual to me. Of course, I'm saying this under the assumption that if you make a threat like that you have to follow through with it...

Re: 8 Passengers: Resident Evil / Part Three
She definitely raises Russell and eve so differently to how she raised the older kids (especially eve). The older 4 are up at 6am everyday to do their Cinderella list of chores and practice music before school and have this strict routine. Russell and eve do whatever, whenever with no consequences. I have no doubt that Shari, Chad, Abby and Julie would have never gotten away with anything Russell and eve do. And it shows.

Their email is public anyway, I am mentioning just wondering if the children watching know it's an add and she's doing it for the money.
"I want kids with personality" said the mormon mother who expects their children to conform to the cult's doctrine.
"We don't discipline our kids on the camera" said Ruby while she proceeds to exactly that.
"... not like we owe you any explanation" and then she goes on explaining on how she disciplines her children.
Mixed messaging or what?
