Oh relax. Isn't that how an opinion works? Go cry about it to your 7 year old kid when you're probably only 24.

I shared my opinion and suddenly everyone's on me saying my education is basically worthless.
Hey at least I was smart enough to figure out birth control
Unlike all the teen moms here, I got it figured out.
Now move the conversation back to Oscar and Kyra and if anyone feels the need to continue this, they can PM me.

Re: OKWeBrokeTheBaby: Part 11
you DO realize that she did single someone out, personally attacked her, then labeled her a screwup for being a teen parent and still working to put herself thru college when her mom back in the day got lucky and didnt have to work but still considers her mother a screwup too so basically she thinks all teen parents are screwups. I defended the original poster bc missy's comment was uncalled for and rude af and judgemental. That isnt what this forum is about. That is why so many people jumped on her..i'm not a teen parent and i have a master's and working toward my doctorate and MD but i would never look down on others for doing the best they can with their situation. that's disgusting to do imoGray wrote:Lmao, I can't with this thread rn. People on here are attacking missy like if she personally singled out certain people on this thread. like girl ... it ain't that serious to have a page ranting back and forth about teen moms vs. non teen moms.
Just because ya'll felt a certain type of way about her comment because you were a teen mother or whatever the case might be .... doesn't mean we all can't converse like adults.
Ya'll tryna one up her like if missy ain't shit. "Well I have this degree and that's more than what you have and you are doing the bare minimum sweetie" so basically what you are saying is that her opinion about teen mothers is invalid because What? She hasn't accomplished what she has set out to do yet?
I. Literally. Can. Not
People are so hypocritical on here. Ya'll are saying missy is closed minded about her opinion BUT everyone putting their two cents in to degrade her intelligence are doing the same fucking thing! Judging her because she hasn't accomplished what you might have accomplished is JUDGING and NOT BEING OPEN MINDED.

Re: OKWeBrokeTheBaby: Part 11
but here's the thing--kyra PROMOTES her lifestyle as if all teen parents live like this and creates unrealistic expectations and false senses of security. if she'd at least be honest and acknowledge that she got lucky and stop saying that it's easy to be a teen parent, that'd be different. ofc they can buy their house and it's their right esp if they can afford it. that wasnt the issue. the issue was being honest that most people their age/situation cant do that. It's not their fault others look up to them, yes. But since they do, be honest with them and prevent other girls from being stupid and making the same mistakes with diff more serious consequences. Like it or not she has a public image and voice. She should do some good with that.juststardust wrote:I don't see the problem with them getting a house if they can afford it (and have been saving up for it for a while). Last I checked just a few months ago people were shitting on them for living in a small apartment, comparing their living situation to Keren and Khoa's, and just a couple of weeks ago laughing about how they can't welcome KK into their home because it's so small. I feel like some people just find the pettiest things to bitch about, so OK shouldn't own a house until every other teen parent out there could too or they shouldn't own a house at all because it's setting up unrealistic expectations for dumbasses who follow in their footsteps and get knocked up young? It's not their fault that idiots look up to two older idiots. This all just screams jealously.
Worry about their shitty parenting or lack of education and proper grammar but I don't see anything wrong with them buying a house if they have the money for it. They better buy it real quick before people on this thread start bitching about Alaya and Levi having to share a room.

Re: OKWeBrokeTheBaby: Part 11
I'm intrigued to know when Oskie's gonna put a ring on it. Not sure what harm it would do to spend a bit of money on that sort of commitment, with:
1) Him knowing how much Kyra wants it
2) They're clearly raking it in enough to afford a ring (pretty darn nice one ta boot) if they're able to consider purchasing a house in the $500 - $600K range
3) The Bug Buddies would lap up a proposal vlog and it would rake in the views
It'll also be interesting to see who walk's up the isle first because at first glance one would assume KK but OK could do something random and spontaneous. That'd be amusing.

Ikr. The last vlog was painful viewing when her head almost flopped backwards due to him holding the camera in the other hand. She's still only 6 wks old and they're both acting like her neck muscles are as strong as a baby twice her age.soul_in_a_earthsuit wrote:I cringe when oscar walks around with alaya not supporting her head EVER and her head flops all over the place ><

Re: OKWeBrokeTheBaby: Part 11
Oscar's "answer" to today's COTD shows how immature he is still.
"What do you look for in a house?" ... "mmmm a hot tub!" ...
They're about to make a huge investment and he doesn't even know what it is he is looking for besides a big house. And when they were visiting houses he kept commenting on the mirrors in the bathroom as being one of the best feature of the house..... you can have the same mirrors in any house. Maybe I'm being harsh, but I feel with this whole situation their age really shows.

As much as I've enjoyed this little show from bratty adults both with and without kids, to the person who was insulting the other person who only has a diploma; fuck off. If you're so pro-teen parents then I really hope you're not one of those people who thinks that education is equal to intelligence and self-worth. That attitude hasn't helped society at all and is a terrible mindset to have and to instill in children.

I never said my mom didn't have to work? My mom worked 2 jobs and went to college when I was a kid. I was referring to Oscar and Kyra not having to work.soul_in_a_earthsuit wrote:you DO realize that she did single someone out, personally attacked her, then labeled her a screwup for being a teen parent and still working to put herself thru college when her mom back in the day got lucky and didnt have to work but still considers her mother a screwup too so basically she thinks all teen parents are screwups. Re: OKWeBrokeTheBaby: Part 11
My middle aged self still can't get over that literal kids can pick up a camera and lay around home and play and buy homes that I can't afford with a college degree and worked all my life for. I do take solace in a mean girl way that it won't always be this way. We all had a grandiose dream that came crashing down at some point due to immaturity. They can't commit to marriage but they can buying a house. I know you don't have to be married but it cracks me up to see so many lifelong commitments from couples who claim that they don't need to make commitments to be together take on 30 yr mortgages, have children that bind you for life and similar. I am not saying Kyra and Oscar have said that they can't or won't marry but in my personal life I see it all the time.

I'm guessing you're referring to me because I said "diploma." I'm not "so pro-teen parent" but also don't equate screw up with being a teen parent. I had my son at 16, and now at 23 I'm a lawyer. My point was that she was bragging about how successful she was without children while only receiving a diploma. My point is only that her generalization of teen parents is grossly inaccurate. Some teen parents are actually more successful than she is right now. Sorry you took it so personally or that you haven't been able YET to achieve more than a diploma. I never said it had to do with intelligence. But in my opinion people with PHD's/masters/JD's/ MD are more successful than someone with only a diploma.

Re: OKWeBrokeTheBaby: Part 11
There is no need to belittle or demean someone for what job they do or what age they were when they had kids. They can't go back in time and not have the kid, if they have a degree or certificate and a good job then good for them! If you have a degree and a good job then good for you! Everyone has different career goals and 60k is a lot for some people (where I live that is a good amount of money! Housing is cheap here)
I have a friend who is a teenage mom and she has always struggled but she is doing very well now for herself. She had her daughter 1 day before her 16th birthday. She was basically a child. Her parents abandoned her in a home for girls where she was to hide and give birth and give the baby up for adoption so nobody would know. She decided to keep the baby though much to her parents displeasure so that's another story.
It does piss me off how Kyra glamorizes teenage pregnancy, not every pregnant teen can have a successful YouTube channel.

Wow, those places still exist, is this in the USA? Those sorts of places came to an end half a century ago here in the UK (1960's) with the introduction of the contraceptive pill.MommaLindsey2 wrote:I have a friend who is a teenage mom and she has always struggled but she is doing very well now for herself.
