This was my favorite part of the vlog today! He's seriously one of the cutest babies. I loved how he curled right back up when Bonnie put him on the bed.

I just love how babies/toddlers sleep like that with their little butts in the air. It's next to impossible as an adult to be comfortable that way!
-Cody would need a different style if Bonnie cut an inch or more for the front that's in his eyes. The hair wouldn't lay the same. Cody seems to have a love/hate relationship with his hair. He likes it to look perfect, but hates having it done.
-this is a general ytmd thing, but I'm saying it here because I just read it when catching up on this board. I hate when you don't like something or are critical of a youtuber, then someone defends the youtuber by saying, "but they're not as bad as most youtubers" It doesn't erase the fact that in this case, Bonnie has flaws, we can side-eye her, cringe at her, etc. and also think Ellie, Missy, and Ruby are shitty, too.
-Has anyone ever taken a vacation without their significant other, and felt extra sentimental while missing them? I think Bonnie had those feelings when she was away from Joel (especially) and her kids. Now her experience isn't the same at all. I love traveling with my husband, but I do know when I've traveled without him, I've pictured him there in an incredibly romanticized way. And then in reality . . . It's reality! It probably would have been a better idea to do a romantic trip for a week, then invite as much family to join them as possible the second week. It seems the Griffiths have deep roots of fond memories in Hawaii. So whoever watched the kids could have brought them for a fun family week (DURING SPRING OR SUMMER BREAK!)
Bonnie obviously has cold sores on her lip which are contagious. Does she not know this? Why would she spend so much time on today's vlog kissing Lincoln on the mouth...over and over again. Did anyone else find that disturbing and irresponsible?

Yes. It's been commented on. I think the general consensus is that it's not a good idea. Amazing in the vlog comments, the stupidity reigning. "It's not a cold sore. It's a fever blister" "She wasn't kissing him on the lips!" Yes, she was. A lot. I'm afraid to say anything on the vlog comments, because apparently, stating the fact that yes, she is exposing her toddler son to a virus that can't be cured and that she herself has had lots of issues with, is "hating", and "attacking". The one person who initially commented was kinda harsh, but wow, she got jumped for it!

You assume. But have you tried it lately?
I agree though. It's adorable
That was the most adorable thing. I loved it.
Also, I can't sleep like that but I lie down like that almost on a daily basis.
''..increasing numbers are pulling their children out of school in term time to take advantage of cheaper holidays.
Nearly 150,000 did so in the last school year, even though they knew they would be fined and possibly face a criminal record.
This huge number of absences is profoundly worrying, so the Mail strongly supports the Supreme Court decision yesterday to uphold a fine on a father who took his daughter to Disney World in term time.
The judges ruled only head teachers can give special leave and then only in extraordinary circumstances.
Taking children out of class is disruptive for teachers and fellow pupils. It undermines the school’s authority and risks sending out a signal that attendance is optional.''
Parkerwar wrote:Bonnie absolutely is obsessed with her kidses appearance. Appearance is much more important to her than education or spending time playing with kids. At home we saw her napping while they watch a movie and eat sugar. She had said before she doesn't enjoy playing with them. Thank goodness Joel takes them places. Remember this is the woman who took Olivia's doll away because she didn't like bitten nails. If you aren't too worried about culture or education, then appearance becomes the selling point. Olivia will need to look her best to get a husband! Heaven forbid she would want something different than all the women in her family. Her looks are her commodity in this religious culture. The pretty ones get first pick!
I feel like I woke up in the 1800's reading that. It's sad, I wonder what percentage of women in Utah are unfulfilled, living such antiquated lives (choice wise). Versus what percentage of closet gay men there are in hetro sexual marriages? I have this mental image of a mass exodus of these two groups of people, upping sticks and high tailing it outta there and looking back seeing Utah like an empty tumbleweed town lol.

You can even see an exchange of saliva between Bonnie and Lincoln from the same side of her mouth where the cold sore is @9:41 mins. At this point I honestly think she thinks she's being clever and amusing by trolling what she considers the haters.

Utah has laws on the books in regards to school time and family vacations which to me a class B misdemeanor is serious. But schools don't enforce them so the law doesn't matter.
According to Utah’s compulsory education statute, a “compulsory education violation” notice is sent to a student’s parent if that student has been “absent without a valid excuse at least five times during the school year.” After being served with such a notice, it is a class B misdemeanor—which carries up to six months of jail time and a fine of $1,000—for the parent to “intentionally fail to meet with the school authorities” to discuss the “attendance problems,” or to “intentionally fail to prevent the school-age child from being absent without a valid excuse five or more times during the remainder of the school year.”

That's unfortunate if she is doing this as a mother and I think it is a lost cause with the idea she'll prevent her children contracting HSV-1. She knows how this virus is transmitted, so if I was Olivia at an older age, realizes by seeing vlogs she got this from my mother, I wouldn't be happy.
I love the beginning with Joel vlogging while jogging (catchy phrase;) a beautiful area along a walkway. He really has improved with filming. I hope he brought the drone???
How much makeup does Bonnie need to feel "done"? She looked beautiful, the dress was great, and Joel was obviously appreciative. She needs to learn how to accept a compliment. And I don't mean that in a snarky way.
I had to laugh at how Bonnie and the kids were acting like the food was sooooo bad, and Joel just sat down and ate it. I think the kids are just too used to sugar cereals for breakfast. The hash browns looked burned in the pan and undercooked on the plate, and the eggs looked overdone. Those were nonstick pans-- she shouldn't have needed butter. I think the kids were guided by her reaction.
I hope they take Cody for a surfing lesson. They have lessons aimed at little kids. He doesn't have to surf a big pipe to get the experience.
I loved how they made sure to show Bonnie doing school work with Cody!
nutbagmcgee wrote:I wonder if Bonnie and Joel will bring home a little souvenir from this trip?
funny you mention that. My parents went to Hawaii and left me home with my grandparents when I was a few months older than Lincoln is now. They came home with a souvenir who is now my younger sister...
Seeing Chad's situation, I wonder if she officially pulled them for the year to HS them? And then she will just reregister them when she gets back. That seems a plausible explanation. The homework they do may have been stuff she got from the teacher or anywhere. Having lived in that state-I wouldn't be surprised. Parents have more authority than anyone as it goes to religion if ykwim. Education isn't prized at all.
There is a lady in the comments of the kissing vlog who doesn't know cold sores/fever blisters are herpes. She was all "Bonnie has been married to Joel for years." She does not understand how it is transmitted BUT she is defending Bonnie and making an idiot of herself.

So ridiculous. Nobody is saying Bonnie is a slut for having herpes! My favorite was "It's not a cold sore. It's a fever blister" (paraphrasing)
