Speech therapy at school is only for 30 minutes. If she is such a "social butterfly" why does she just sit in a corner in the vlogs and space out or why does she only mimic what Vanessa says? Not trying to compare but Aria will talk and talk to B or even to the camera. There is nothing wrong with your child having delays but if your not being proactive in them catching up then there is a problem. You are holding them back. Here where I live kids can start preschool at age 3. I didn't send my son till age 4 and it's one of the biggest regrets I have in parenting. I held him back. I've learned from that mistake and will be sending my youngest at 3 for sure. I think V wants us to think she is doing so great as a parent compared to B because we've been on and on about how B doesn't do much for her kids when it comes to socialization and extra caricature(sp?) activities. All of a sudden Lily is in soccer? Yeah ok. As for her speech...I still don't understand a word that little girl says. How has it "improved" so much in the past year? Bull.
She's not in soccer. She stays after school one day a week to play soccer with other kids in her class. Vanessa mentioned that in a vlog a couple weeks ago. she's delusional.

In her update she said "I know keeping her behind a year in kindergarten will only help her." -- it will only help her if Vanessa gets her the help she needs and gives her the help she needs at home. She needs to stop letting her watch movies all the damn time, stop buying her princesses from the Disney store, and start interacting with her.

I can't believe how she talks to lily... she literally treats her like she's a baby. She said lily just talks and talk now.. in vlogs lily will say a little bit, and I can barely understand her. Like in the last DITL when lily was tickling Charlie's stomach; she was just copying what Vanessa does to him all the time. She doesn't DO anything for herself. She doesn't ever show an imagination or pretend play. She follows the story line of princess movies and books when she plays dress up; that's it.

And it annoys the shit out of me when Vanessa hands lily a plate of food and says "what are we having for dinner?" -- and lily will go around the plate and point to the items "green beans, potatoes, and chicken!" Then Vanessa will say "GOOD JOB!" .. she's five, she should know what the heck she eats every day. How about you ask her something other than "what's that?!" All the damn time.

Sorry, but I really feel like Vanessa is hindering her more than helping her. And I only feel like it's getting worse.
I couldn't have said it better with my broken english lol. Image to that

The whole soccer thing reminds of when she lied that Lily was in dance class, when really she just took her to Gymboree to play.
Someone pointed out asking why she blinks so much, and there was a comment saying that people who blink a lot when they talk means they're lying, looks like the comment was deleted already.
Also it's interesting to see the thumbnail of Vanessa looking happy, since a lot of people called her out on how she uses thumbnails of herself looking so sad when it's a sit down video about Lily.

This is something I took from a website about autism:

"Children with Down syndrome, OMIM# 190685, and 45,X Turner syndrome, OMIM# 300082, have autism more often than expected. In one Down syndrome study, the incidence of autism was 7%.80 There are also an excess of girls with Turner syndrome who fit autism diagnostic criteria.81 The explanation for the Down syndrome association is unclear as the social phenotypes of the two disorders are dissimilar. Girls and women with Turner syndrome, on the other hand, generally have poorer social cognition skills.82 Although autism has been reported in other sex chromosome disorders (47,XXX, 47,XXY, and 47,XYY), there does not seem to be a significant association."

It is complete bullshit that TS girls "rarely" have autism. Vanessa has no idea what she is talking about and is just acting like autism is the worst thing in the world.
In the end, we're all just dreams...

I know in this thread we are not supposed to make diagnoses'. I looked at signs that may be overlooked and oh my gosh. She fits it almost to a T.
-They don’t seek parental attention.
-Odd eating habits
-They flap their hands
-Speech delay
-Poor language skill
-Robotic voice
-They have inconsistent emotion
-If a child can’t put together a “meaningful, two-word” phrase by 24 months, that may be a sign of autism
-They have trouble pronouncing vowels
-They can’t follow directions.
-They avoid eye contact
-They have poor social skills

I definitely agree with you on this, but I have to disagree that just because we are not seeing apparent improvements with Lily, it means the school and/or Vanessa is not working hard enough with her. I feel like I've been defending Vanessa a lot lately, but it is unfair to expect the same results from a child who has been diagnosed with a severe learning disability as you would with a neurotypical child who is just a bit behind. Lily's improvements may not come in leaps and bounds, but in very small steps over large spans of time. She is not at the same developmental level as most kindergarteners and thus may not be developmentally capable of certain achievements yet. She will make improvements on her own timeline, and may not ever be caught up with her classmates, especially if she has a low IQ. So while Vanessa could certainly stop babying Lily and work with her harder, even then Lily can't be held to the same standards as other kids her age.

I have a child in OT for 3 years now. She improves a little, regresses, improves, regresses, it is a never ending battle. It isn't as cut and dried as "Lily is in ST, OT, PT she should be way better by now." My daughter doesn't have any type of syndrome such as Lily. :(

Much love for your daughter. I am not sure if this is the same thing, but in elementary school I was put in a special area for reading, math, and language arts. I know this thread is not about me. But I spent pre-k - 4th grade in the program (I believe it was OT and ST). Like your daughter or was always a give and take kind of thing. She will outgrow it! I was diagnosed with dyslexia (during the times dyslexia was not really recognized as an issue with learning). But now I am 21 and I love reading now. I still struggle reading a little but it doesn't hinder me. I also speak a bit differently than others- but others still understand me! ♡ When I mean different, I can't speak fast to save my life, if I try it's easier to tell I have a slight speech issue. With a mother like you she will excel!

That's decent for his size if he's going to be in it for a few hours while they nip to Target or something but overnight that thing is tiny for him.

That crate is actually plenty big enough for Benny if he's never been crate trained before. It should only be big enough for him to stand up and turn around in, otherwise he'll pee and poop in one corner and sleep in the other. Unless they're ill, dogs won't go where they sleep. Dogs should be crate trained when they're puppies to help with potty training. The fact that she's only crate training him now leads me to believe that he's not potty trained which wouldn't surprise me at all. Putting him outside (or, you know, teaching your child not to give him table scraps) seems like a much easier solution than crating him if it's only because of Lily.

When she is showing that mess of a storage closet, there is a big box of dog bathroom pads. I'm assuming that is what Benny was used to using in the old apartment.

Yikes!! People were just talking about her picking problem the other day (again) ... I've noticed the scars and scabs before but those two marks do look like burns or blisters of some sort. That's scary.
Those look like little bandaids. I've used them for my son before when he had a wart. They're round and tan in the center and the sticky part is clear. Those kind are supposed to be water proof I believe.
Who knows tho, she definitely has several scars on her arms.
The fact she has two little spots around the same size and that close together that require bandaids is a little alarming.

Sorry for the double post but I want to weigh in on the whole autism topic.
My 8 year old daughter has autism. We found out when she was 3 years old and it's only because of a sequence of events. She had 2 bad seizures back to back..took her to hospital where they did extensive testing because of her behavior afterwards. Just so happened that the doctor on call requested I take her to genetic testing. We went there and found out she has a chromosome duplication. She was then referred to a childhood disorder/ syndrome specialist. There we had to go once a month for 6 months to document her behavior and only then did they test her for autism.
What I'm getting at is that it isn't simply cut and dry. It usually takes a long longgg time to diagnose. If you have a good doctor they will take they're time because autism is misdiagnosed so much since it is a spectrum disorder. Our dr told us that most kids aren't diagnosed until they reach school age and that's due to most parents not realizing (or in denial) there is an issue. When you don't have any other children in the home to compare that one child to then that also presents a problem. V needs to be proactive right now because she's only hindering Lily. My daughter was in extensive therapy since the age of 3 and now you wouldn't even know she has it unless you were told. All of that is because we started at such an early age that she was able to learn coping skills and behavior techniques. I'm not saying that's for all kids on the spectrum but in our case we are very lucky. Denying your child has a problem only hurts the child. The longer you wait the harder it is for your child.

Sorry for the long post and any mistakes. I just wanted to give an opinion from someone that's been there

Before I knew she picked her skin I thought she had bedbugs. Her arms look so bad.

I looked up bed bugs and it does kinda look like she has it. And btw, don't google bed bugs unless you want to be grossed out!
Ewww seriously, I hope she doesn't have bed bugs.
I don't know what her issue is but she should just be open and talk about it. I mean, she's so open regarding her daughter's rectum.

I just assumed they were from the cat(s). My hands and arms are all messed up from my cat, and because Vanessa picks at her skin it makes sense they would bleed.

I do think it would be a good idea if she made a video talking about it, if she feels comfortable. It's kind of like the elephant in the room, she knows everyone notices it. She could help people who have the same problem. She might be scared of judgement, but I am not judging. A lot of people have nervous habits like that.

I am no fan of Vanessa. I think she is very immature. But y'all need to give her a break about her skin. I have eczema on my arms, legs, and face. It often looks like I have been picking or cutting, sometime even like I have been hit. It is super embarrassing. It runs in families and is VERY hard to cure. Stress makes it worse. This may not be what she has, but I can totally understand what it's like to have no control over my skin condition, no matter what I do.

Honestly I gave her the benefit of the doubt until I noticed that Charlie's skin looks like she's been picking it too. He's a baby. If she can't control herself enough to not pick at his skin, she needs to get some help.

Her next video: MY BIGGEST SECRET - PART ONE. And then she will talk about her "illness" that causes her to pick her skin because she needs to compete with a certain someone. Then she will start putting her camera n the cabinet.
In the end, we're all just dreams...

Yeah, didn't she say something like she had "chicken skin" and had to pick at it? I can't remember which video it was on.
