Yes, I agree that he is too young to be told so soon, especially before she has gone to the doctor to confirm. I have no problem with people telling their own kids early if they are old enough to understand a miscarriage in case one happens. I personally don't think he is old enough to understand if that were to happen. Or what if she isn't pregnant at all and those were EVAPS???

And to add on to what everyone else is saying... It is so weird that her family isn't saying anything. What about the Mecham's? Or the Lumps? Have they commented?

Oh man I can't believe this Completely agree with everything. This all seems weird, plotted and the timeline doesn't make sense. So over it.
Also annoyed because I'm pregnant and Ellie and I will be probably be weeks if not days apart......

Also notice how they barely showed the pregnancy test in the video. If I recall, they showed it from a side angle and it was hard to tell what it said. I just really cannot stop thinking about those poor IVF phone calls. I can't. And also everyone struggling who has to listen to this bullshit.
Could you imagine Joan's phone ringing. She probably balled her eyes out way before the phone call because she can't have her children with her on Mother's day. And then she sees a call from good ole Ellie Mecham. She MUST be calling to wish her a happy mother's day! After all, she is such a sweet and caring person. Of course she'd acknowledge a momma that has dealt with loss and no longer has a child on Earth. How sweet!!!

Wow it's sad that they have to cook up a sceme like this to get views and $. Tried to give them the benefit of the doubt as we only see a small portion of their real lives. But COME ON. This just screams fake. I feel so bad for the IVF grant winners who are roped into this shit storm.

Ok so best case scenario is this is all the 100% truth and they are "just" insensitive assholes who are so self involved they didn't think about how hurtful it was to call people struggling with IF and/or losses on fucking Mother's Day.

I just can't with the commenters keep going on and on about how they were "just being considerate" by letting them know before the video was live. That is an absolute cop out because they could have at least waited a couple of freaking days to post the video so they could still give them a heads up but AFTER Mother's Day. Just because they vlog daily doesn't mean they literally have to announce the next day. Many vloggers wait, including Missy! They didn't announce for weeks with Finn!

Again, ridiculous that the Lumps are a good example on how to act.

My theory is, I don't think they are literally faking that she's pregnant (at least I hope not, bc that's a new low. I have literally never even hate watched Sam & Nia since their obviously fake miscarriage and scandal with Ashley Madison and verbally attacking Cullen. I was D-O-N-E done.)

Anyway, what I think is the most likely scenario is those are the infamous evap lines that blue dye plus sign tests tend to have. Yes, even within the time frame. Happened to me my first ever cycle trying for baby #1. I took a digital and FRER and they were negative and lo and behold, my period showed up 2 days later. I learned my lesson and never used a blue dye again, and even very clearly there pink dye tests I back up with a digital before even believing it myself let alone telling ANYONE else!

So I think she just assumes she is pregnant because it looks kinda like a very faint positive (and she has so convinced herself she was pregnant anyway)and Jared touched up the photo for the thumbnail to make it look "better" but still believes it because Ellie does (but is probably a bit skeptical since it's so faint, and that's why he wasn't emotional)

And when her period comes she's going to make a big deal about her "chemical pregnancy" or "miscarriage" and milk it for ALLL it's worth!

Wait a second...did I miss something from their original trip to the fertility specialist?? The doctor NEVER SAID she has PCOS!! Just said she "might" and the doctors never mentioned it again. Then, BAM, she was pregnant with Jackson within a month! Yes, they were on Femara(sp?) and were being monitored, but no injections and they conceived just by regular ol' sex. I guess I'm missing how their IF journey was THAT HARD. I think they were just doing "it" (yes, the sex part) wrong before....

The description from that video: Our first visit with the Fertility Specialist. We got a lot of good information! We were told that I had PCOS and my Doctor did a great job explaining exactly what PCOS is.

Ellie is so dumb and uneducated now - and it was WAY worse in 2013!!!!! She was asking Jared about fertility stuff??! And all the gum-smacking!

Still mostly positive because they have delusional minions and a bunch of kids that don't really understand how it works, so don't see the writing on the wall.

There are over 500 thumbs down, but 28,000 thumbs up.

They are working hard deleting comments calling them out, and those comments are getting a lot of thumbs up before they are deleted, though.

I had the comments loaded on my phone and then came back to it an hour later so I could still see them even though they were deleted (tried to open them to see the replies and got an error... bc they were deleted)

But there are some real gems like this one, and more pouring in by the minute.

That's how a few of us have felt all along. Dr Ellie decided she had PCOS and went looking for a diagnosis. She heard the doc mention it could be a cause and just ran with it. PCOS is cannot be diagnosed solely by ultrasound.

Yeah there are blood tests to see what the hormones are doing, especially TSH and LH.


And she has none of the other symptoms, either. I have a friend who has it and it also typically causes issues with insulin resistance, weight gain, etc

A chemical pregnancy would bring them views and of course sympathy. She wouldn't just be a part of the infertility community, she'd be a part of the loss community. Something is not right with them not showing a positive pregnancy test. And to bring Jackson into this...

I created an account because I have a crazy theory. I think they did gender selection. Bear with me.

They were "ovulating" in California, one of the few states where gender selection IVF is possible. They posted so many videos about the next one being a girl, and this guarantees they have a girl, secures an audience that will be over the moon for a girl.
I don't know. Just a thought. I know very little about IVFs and if the timeline would fit a procedure like this. But that would explain why the whole situation is so fishy. There's no way they would let this be out to the public, since the whole gender selection thing is a huge taboo.
Unlike so many people here, they don't bother me that much and I'll keep watching them - I love their big family dynamic - and wish them well, but this whole thing is a circus for sure and I really wanted to share this theory.

Sorry to poke holes in your theory, but Ellie showed her belly several times just a few days after she supposedly conceived, and she would have had bruises all over it from shots needed for the IVF process. Plus during IVF ovulation is suppressed so that the eggs can be collected, so I don't know if she would have had a positive ovulation test.

Something is clearly fishy. Their announcement is very similar in tone and general weirdness to when the Saccone-Jolys announced their pregnancy a little over a year ago that ended in a miscarriage. Many people believe they faked the whole pregnancy, but it's more likely they already knew something was wrong and that's why the announcement was so "off". Who knows what Ellie and Jared are up to.

I think it's fairly neutral. They are definitely receiving more negativity than they usually do because people realized how staged it all seems. But I'm seeing a pretty equal mix of positive and negative. However they are notorious for deleting comments they don't like...
