Perhaps she wants to stay a child, Ellie also recently told when she was Jackson's age she whispered in her mother's ears she wanted to stay this age forever. Who knows this could be the core of her anorexia, and personality in broader sense. Everyone has 'something', it might be this for Ellie. Complementary, 'borderline' mothers don't want their children to grow up, Jennifer's reply with 'o so tiny cute' and physically welcoming Ellie jumping into her arms like a child (I can't imagine I would have done that with my mother when I was 26) is at least reminiscent of that...
This is an interesting theory. She does do some weird mannerisms that they mention she did a lot in her childhood still. One example of this is putting her legs in her sweatshirt all the time. She also seems to compete with her children about trying to be adorable.... Jared buys Jackson a treat while away so he needs to get Ellie a bigger one. Jackson is learning to write so Ellie is practicing. Jackson is sick, so Ellie is sicker, etc. It seems so strange to compete with a child, but this theory makes it make a little more sense.
They control what's in the vlog. Instead of Jared getting his ass up on his back, edit out the 6 "cutes" and 12 "so fun" remarks.
I'm no vlogging expert, but he's been in this game long enough and has enough friends who he can watch to get tips from.
Eugenia is a sickly looking vlogger --Ellie isn't that think, but if they don't want comments on her looks or if she feels pressure, vlog in other ways ... so it's not all people take away from the 10 minutes of their life.

I wonder if she uses that phrase so often because she doesn't actually listen to what people are saying and it's an easy generic answer?

It seems to be a filler phrase - some people will say cool or ok or whatever when they have nothing to say, or don't know how to express themselves, I think Ellie used "so fun" in the same way

I'm surprised they are at a party for a niece/nephew at all! They are usually away doing something small and insignificant that definitely could have been done another time.
But maybe not showing Olivia is one way for Jared to make Ellie feel less threatened.
Are we sure that she doesn't say "fun" constantly to get at us since we mock her for it?
I just can't see why she would say it SO MUCH without having a serious problem. Like, a problem with her emotions or a learning problem where she can't grasp other words?
It's like she doesn't want to go to social functions or talk about serious things, so she cloned herself to deal with that stuff, but the clone can only store and say three phrases of Ellie's choice, one of which is "so fun".
Or maybe she is like Groot. He can only say "I am Groot". Her only descriptive term is "So fun!"
Or maybe you're right, and she saw this thread title. It is pretty appropriate.

i just clicked on this video (never seen their channel before!) and right away i notice how much this girl reminds me of ellie. at least, physically. go right to 8:25 and she looks exactly like ellie!

TBH I honestly don't get why the nose thing bothers people so much. It may not be proper form, or even necessary, but its just a day at the lake, so who really cares how they do it
I'm sure this has been mentioned/discussed somewhere in this forum, but I'm fairly new and would love to be filled in a little more on Ellie's education. Do we know if she went to college and got a four year degree or just got a cosmetology license at a community college? Jared often talks about when "we were in college" referring to him and Ellie, but I don't know if it just means he was in college, and since they were married Ellie was also "in college" too. I am also unclear about Ruby and Bonnie's formal education as well.. I know Ruby and Kevin met in college, but am unsure if Ruby continued out her four year degree once they got married. If anyone has any answers or theories toward the Griffiths girlses (lol) education past high school please let me know because it's been driving me crazy trying to figure it out!

Thing is though they know how to swim & they're clearly confident and aren't afraid of the water. The entire family does it and it just looks odd to me! People usually grow out of that when they learn how to swim because it's something that's taught along with swimming properly.
They don't do it just at the lake, they do it while jumping into a bloody hot tub.
IDK why it bothers me but it does, when people do it around me I usually comment on it as well.
Does anyone happen to watch Channon Rose? She's been trying to get pregnant for a while now & has been very open about the process. Well she recently found out she was pregnant but unfortunately she miscarried. I was so happy for her & her husband because you can tell they genuinely wanted to start a family. She posted a video earlier today talking about losing the baby & it makes me despise E&J (especially Ellie) even more for how they handled their "pregnancy" situation. Channon has a very interesting past (she used to be a pornstar) I saw she follows Ellie on instagram but Ellie doesn't follow back.
Anyways like I said they've been very open. She recorded the conversations with the doctors & everything. It's everything I expected E&J to show when they were so adamant about wanting share the process with their viewers *eye roll.* I haven't watched them in a long time so I'm not sure if they've talked about if they're still trying but I thought I'd share that.
