The Ellie Show: FUN! Edition Part #28

TBH I honestly don't get why the nose thing bothers people so much. It may not be proper form, or even necessary, but its just a day at the lake, so who really cares how they do it

Thing is though they know how to swim & they're clearly confident and aren't afraid of the water. The entire family does it and it just looks odd to me! People usually grow out of that when they learn how to swim because it's something that's taught along with swimming properly.
They don't do it just at the lake, they do it while jumping into a bloody hot tub.
IDK why it bothers me but it does, when people do it around me I usually comment on it as well.

I have said this before but it drives me crazy! My cousin used to do it and im so grateful proper swim lessons taught her not to. I cringe whenever I see it, no matter who it is.

I'm sure this has been mentioned/discussed somewhere in this forum, but I'm fairly new and would love to be filled in a little more on Ellie's education. Do we know if she went to college and got a four year degree or just got a cosmetology license at a community college? Jared often talks about when "we were in college" referring to him and Ellie, but I don't know if it just means he was in college, and since they were married Ellie was also "in college" too. I am also unclear about Ruby and Bonnie's formal education as well.. I know Ruby and Kevin met in college, but am unsure if Ruby continued out her four year degree once they got married. If anyone has any answers or theories toward the Griffiths girlses (lol) education past high school please let me know because it's been driving me crazy trying to figure it out!

Ellie did NOT go to a four year college. I'm doubtful she even went to a community college. I think she did one of those vo-tech programs in high school where you can get your cosmetology license while you're going to high school.
Not sure, but my understanding is that Ruby went to a four year college trying to get her Mrs. degree, and succeeded and dropped out. Bonnie and Julie, I have no idea about. Not sure if Julie is actually an RN or an LVN or a nurse's aid. I _think_ Bonnie did the vo-tech thing too, and also went to phlebotomy school. Not positive though.

Yep, we know Bonnie went away to do some school. I assume she took Cosmetology in HS like Ellie. We know Ellie had poor grades and skipped school a lot (by her admission), so I'm almost certain she took Cosmetology as a high school program. When Ellie says "when we were in college" she means when she lived there with Jared

Responding to the comments about the nose thing, I can see why people are annoyed, but I guess it's just not something I ever notice in real life. It's something I would be aware of now that I read here, but never would have noticed before.

Unless I saw someone jumping into a hot tub like that. I didn't realize they hold their noses then, and that makes no sense at all THAT I would notice and side-eye for sure.

i just clicked on this video (never seen their channel before!) and right away i notice how much this girl reminds me of ellie. at least, physically. go right to 8:25 and she looks exactly like ellie!

I watch Sarah Lemkus and love her channel and her family. Her daughter is so precious and they seem very genuine in their vlogs. They may have similar body types but Sarah is much more healthy. She and her family are vegan and although she is lean she is healthy and physically looks nourished. Ellie is extremely lean but not healthy, she gets sick all the time and you can see in her skin how malnourished (may not be because of lack of calories but because of lack of nutrients) she is. None of the Griffiths girls seem to be able to grasp how to eat healthfully, and I'm sure that has to do with the strong traditional Griffiths meals they ate growing up and continue to eat/make for their family. I wish they would take a little time to make some healthful meals for their families and stop eating so many treats! It's sad to see how many treats they are constantly eating instead of real meals.

Does anyone happen to watch Channon Rose? She's been trying to get pregnant for a while now & has been very open about the process. Well she recently found out she was pregnant but unfortunately she miscarried. I was so happy for her & her husband because you can tell they genuinely wanted to start a family. She posted a video earlier today talking about losing the baby & it makes me despise E&J (especially Ellie) even more for how they handled their "pregnancy" situation. Channon has a very interesting past (she used to be a pornstar) I saw she follows Ellie on instagram but Ellie doesn't follow back.

Anyways like I said they've been very open. She recorded the conversations with the doctors & everything. It's everything I expected E&J to show when they were so adamant about wanting share the process with their viewers *eye roll.* I haven't watched them in a long time so I'm not sure if they've talked about if they're still trying but I thought I'd share that.

It bothers me so much! By like you said, it bothers me when anybody does it, not just Ellie and Jared. About the hot tub, it's ridiculous they use it like a freaking pool.

Julie is an RN. I think she might have gone the LPN to RN route, but she is licensed as an RN now.

Since she has lost weight, maybe her old ones dont fit her, anymore? That hideous orange one looked a little loose on her at the pool party. I swear she has lost weight since then. I dunno, just a theory. Or her online shopping addiction.

I know holding your nose looks childish. However, especially in lakes there can be bacteria. One specific one is a brain eating bacteria that you can die from and people do every year. I actually would recommend people do this. Even in pools. The bacteria gets into your brain via your nose. Yes, it is rare. However, it happens. I personally wouldn't want to take the risk. It just protects you.

There is honestly a part of me who wants to email Grandma Griffiths ([email protected] lol) and express my concern for Ellie's wellbeing. I seriously think this girl has an eating disorder or some sort of medical problem. She honestly looks sicker and more frail in every vlog. Did anyone see her Instagram story today where Calvin is climbing on her leg? Her knee cap made me cringe. Maybe her family is in denial and if they started receiving personal messages about it, they would clue in. I don't think addressing the topic with Ellie would do anything. But engaging her family might help. Just a thought. I don't like Ellie, but I am seriously worried about her. I'm in medical school and I just KNOW that she is not healthy. I worry for her boys.

I think Grandma Griff is part of the problem tbh. I think anyone that can even see it's a problem has probably learned to shut up about it at this point. You can't help someone that doesn't want to be helped, and you definitely can't convince them they need help if someone is enabling (encouraging) them.

I'm not one to criticize fashion that often because I feel that people should wear what they like, but those glasses do her no favors! Ellie looks like the old woman in those greeting cards in them. It seems she likes them and all, but I find them distracting and can't get past them.

I'm also noticing Jared's style change as of late. Either he's put on weight, or he's buying clothes that are ill fitting on him. Something just looks off lately, and I never really noticed that before.

You know why I don't buy that Ellie "can't gain weight"? Because she'll be stick thin and still lose weight, in a horrifyingly short amount of time. The weight she typically is obviously isn't her natural, usual weight that she stays at. Not to mention, if she can't gain weight, she wouldn't gain weight when pregnant. She'd still be a stick.

Also, if she's this thin and "can't gain weight" then I would like to see her vlog about making an effort to eat lots of calories to get her weight up and be healthy. But she won't do that. Her portions are the size of a small child's. She wants to stay thin and it's obvious, and it's sad. You can tell she's unhealthy, beyond just her weight. She just seems sick.

She's either restricting her eating or she's VERY VERY ill and needs to go to a doctor.

I was thinking that there may be another explanation for Ellie's weight or lack thereof and her pooping herself. She may have Crohn's or Colitis. I have colitis. I am currently on super duper antibiotics and am in bowel HELL. That is what made me think of it. What do you all think?
