How do people like them even qualify for a mortgage? No real jobs, im guessing little or no deposit? I dont get it?!?
I wonder if they made a profit on the sale of their condo which covered a portion?

I would have thought that would have been blown with the rv renos, travel, petrol, camp fees etc?

I don't think homeschool is a great choice for them but not because the baby is not well. Baby will only be in NICU for what? Maybe a month if she's born close to term and things go ok? Maybe a CHD mama can chime in here. She's due at the end of May, school likely isn't going to go back into session this year anyway.

My husband is home schooled and usually homeschool kids go through a home schooling program.. parents really don't have to do much. They also have co-ops, atleast that's what my husband did and he was homeschooled

I’m so glad to see no one else here believes their BS that the house wasn’t planned and we didn’t already know about it Image

I believe they have said in a previous video maybe it was not long before or after they went on the road, that they had heard good things of Nashville and were maybe planning to look for a house there 🤷🏻‍♀️

Is this the house they went to see a while ago? That one had a lot of land too.
I'm glad they've bought a house, some stability for the girls, lots of space to run around too

Well, I expect we will have the big "where we live" reveal. I thought Alex said they had planned to move several years since, like she or Phil also said that they planned the RV trip for years?!

Doubtless the parents have laid money out for the house also.... And why on earth if they planned to buy a house, did they spend all that time and money on the RV renovation. A good clean and overhaul would have given them a reasonable home for the "nine months full time RV travelling"

The new house is definitely in a suburb of Nashville. They had their fetal echo at Vanderbilt CH in Nashville. The restaurant where they went to sign their papers was called Dos Margaritas Mexican Grill. I googled it. It is a local chain with 4 locations in Gallatin, Hendersonville, and Clarksville, TN. I’m guessing Hendersonville or Mount Juliet. It’s a nice area. The house is cute. I’m glad the girls will get some stability and a place to play.

I’m very sorry their baby has a CHD.

My son was premature and had to stay in NICU for his first week because his lungs weren’t fully developed. We were only allowed to hold him for a few minutes here and there, and as precious as those moments were, they weren’t the way they were supposed to be. He was hooked up to tubes and wires. It was awkward to hold him with everything he had taped to his little body, and he was just so tiny, it seemed like the lightest touch would hurt him. So, from the perspective of a former NICU parent, I feel for Phil and Alex.

The good news is Alex is a trained NICU nurse— how perfect. She will know what to do and what to ask. They are also at Vanderbilt and will have access to some of the top pediatric cardiologists in the world. Now they have a home, some stability for the girls, a place for grandma to stay when she inevitably moves in. Etc.

THAT would explain why they were driving thru certain areas of Nashville after the tornado. They were either checking on the house or headed home. Don't the grandparents live in California? How is it they always end up appearing where Alex and Phil are located?

Yeah, I’ll bet they were assessing tornado damage. I grew up in Cookeville, the town that took the brunt of the damage. I lived through 3 tornadoes there. I’ll bet they were glad to be in a solid house and not that RV!

Going by her latest post, looks like they've been in the new house for about 3 weeks, maybe even a month. They moved in about 60 hours after they had the news about their baby.
We know they're behind but I wish they'd put a date on screen of what day it was filmed.

They only got on the road after Alex's transfer in mid-September. So if they've been faking living in the RV for the past month, that's what, 5 months total they have been living in the RV? Minus all the time they weren't even.

But it's at least 9 months full time, right?!

It's such a weird thing to lie about. I guess they're kind of embarrassed that they spent so long talking about the RV, buying it, fixing it up, selling their house etc only to live that lifestyle for several months and not do all the stuff they talked/bragged about doing. They would've been way better off buying something newer that was ready to go so they wouldn't have to put in so much work/money/time to get on the road. But I guess a standard RV/trailer wouldn't look right at home on Pinterest, and we all know Alex can't compromise her fuckin aesthetic.

They are idiots if they think their viewers didn’t expect them to buy a house. It was definitely a good idea. Cute house, too.

I appreciate positive people. I really do. Like they can bring a light to a dark situation and make some of us pessimistic people see the good.

However as these two seem to do with everything, he had made his positivity UNBEARABLE. Like it’s more annoying than her voice overs. Not everything has to be peachy Phil- once in awhile you are allowed to have an emotion or not feel “blessed” right in the moment. Not every bad situation is the time and place to get up on the soapbox and preach light and gods divinity. I never feel sorry for Alex but in this newest video I did. Like she’s freaking allowed to be a little bitter right now and not want all these positive affirmations. Let her FEEL what she needs to feel.

Sorry I had to get it off my chest because I want to push my hand through the screen and just smack him upside his head when he starts.

Yeah toxic positivity is definitely a problem. A big problem. And when you have a platform as big as they do, I feel they really have a responsibility to not perpetuate psychologically harmful ideas. It really fucking pisses me off to see people with large followings promoting toxic positivity. All things in moderation! There is a time and place to allow yourself to feel negative emotions, for your own good and for the good of the people around you. Bottling it up is much worse.

Then again, for people who preach positivity so hard, they sure do suck at handling less-than perfect situations. Alex especially, she throws fucking tantrums. I guess it just shows that you really can't "#blessed" away your problems. They seem so immature for adults and parents? It's weird. I'm quite a bit younger than them and I feel like I'm more mature. I know people in their early 20s who handle their shit better than these two. I know age doesn't equal wisdom but it truly baffles me how these two act sometimes.

I had to skip past all of Phil’s blabbing because I knew it was all preachy nonsense. A little of that is fine but one can only listen to so much of that. He needs to go back and get a pastor job so he has an outlet for all of that need to preach. I did feel bad for Alex, especially when she was sitting on the couch trying to explain the issue doing a fine job and he stops her and tells her to speak from the heart. It was so weird. Alex is annoying as hell in her own ways but I’d lose my freaking mind being around Phil with the constant positivity and preaching during times of actual tragedy. Like give her a god damn moment. Lots of other people in the comments were annoyed by it to.

Just want to put something out here. Have we actually ever HEARD a physician say this baby has a CHD. All I remember is Phil sitting down in the conference room and then Alex coming in to have her dramatic go to pieces. Then we have more drama from Alex and a "This Little Light of Mine" moment from Phil. Alex holds up 2 drawings describing a heart defect and hospitalization predictions for baby girl.
Think I'm a curmudgeonly old bitty if you want, but these two have told some real whoppers before to get views. On top of all this...wouldn't it be a devine miracle from God above if baby girl pops out and SHAZAM...she's absolutely perfect. No heart problems, 10 fingers and toes, round little noggin, and doesn't poop, puke or pee unless asked. Sleeps all nite from day 1. Alex's boobs will be flowing with milk and honey. It's like the second coming, only way better. The Congelliere's have an RV!
Well, just thought I'd run that up the flag pole and see who salutes it. Stay well friends!

I follow a lot of youtubers...and I am an expert to undestand at least most of the times when they fake or not

Those tears in the hospital and then in the RV next to the girls , for me at least, were real tears!!!

I dont think they would say such a lie especially when Alex wanted a baby so much!

Phil and Alex | Part 8

Post by Amelia322 » Sat Mar 28, 2020 10:09 am

They make it sound like their baby died!!! Grieving???? I get it, but damn, your whole purpose for traveling was to spread positivity and love on people, is it DEVASTATING NEWS? . Which I know it probably feels like it? But these are people who are IVF patients and know what loss and grief is....idk how to feel but damn. I feel bad, but then these people are so preachy yet they’re using baby girls diagnosis to make it sound like death?

Yea I got the same vibe. Like Alex’s IG gram saying the one of rhe worst days of our lives. My goodness I thought the baby died! Then I was like she had miscarriages before too.

Yes, this is sad, yes disappointing, yes horrible. But one of the worst days? Mmmmm I wouldn’t say that. Baby girl will make it out fine (more than likely), look at Phil my goodness Alex get ahold of yourself. You would have thought the baby was given a death sentence. Way over dramatic! What would the caption have read if the baby died or has no brain, would die shortly after birth etc.

The baby will have surgery and will live a long healthy life. Ao what if she has to take medicine the rest of her life.

People deal with worse news everyday!

Alex is in for a very rude awakening when that baby is born and steals all of the attention away from her. Nobody is going to want to hear her wine about postpartum hair loss or not feeling comfortable in her body or being tired when there’s a helpless little newborn laying there cut from stem to stern for heart surgery.

It took my husband to me 10 years and 3 months to conceive our son. Over those years, we had four miscarriages, I was diagnosed with endometriosis and had three surgeries for it, we went through two rounds of IUI and three rounds of IVF, I took all kinds of shots and pills and vaginal suppositories. And even though I went through three more years of infertility than Phil and Alex— and I didn’t have adopted kids!- I NEVER whined about it like Alex. Alex has always acted like she was the only person on the planet dealing with infertility.

And now she will act like she is the only person on the planet to have a child with medical needs. She will try to make herself a victim and a murder in this as much as she did with infertility.

I cringed so much when Alex was sitting there crying and Phil was talking about the freaking glad game from Pollyanna. How in the world can this man take something as serious as a heart defect in his unborn baby and try to turn it into a cheerful little Disney moment? And then when they were in that conference room, Alex was bawling her eyes out and Phil was preaching at her.

I don’t understand why they have been lying about living in the RV when they’ve actually been living in their new house. What was the purpose of that lie?
