Crazy Middles/ Crazy Pieces | Part Two
Re: Crazy Middles/ Crazy Pieces | Part Two
That was 1000s of $$ in furniture, TVs and decor right there. And with the likelihood that J&S paid for that, and the down-payment for the townhouse (or outright bought it, which seems totally possible)...if I was one of the older kids that had already moved out I would be upset. Are Weston and his new family going to get thousands in cash to start their adult lives off comfortably?
The alternative is that the girls really are making that much bank on their small YouTube channel. But that really doesn’t fit, given the size and newness of the channel. And the fact that they haven’t had any sponsorships yet, which is where the real YT money comes in.
Also I’ve noticed that in every video about the new home, L keeps mentioning that she can’t wait to entertain and have a bunch of people over. I get that she’s 18, and hopefully by the end of the year social distancing guidelines will relax...but she hasn’t added that caveat at all. It’s just “so excited to have people over”. And with Cynthia being 17, she won’t even be able to receive a vaccine until she’s 18. And any of their <18 friends too...I’m just wondering given how much they’ve brought it up, is that the reason they moved out? To be able to do teenage party things without exposing all their little siblings to COVID? I mean if so...I get it, it’s just really risky.

Re: Crazy Middles/ Crazy Pieces | Part Two
lol its probably just how I was raised but I just can't imagine being in a rush to move out at 18 unless I hated my parents. I mean, I went away for college but I didn't officially move out until I was like 24 and that was kinda normal among my friends. I guess for immigrants it's a bit different. To be fair though I did live in a big city.

Re: Crazy Middles/ Crazy Pieces | Part Two
Part of me thinks it's good they moved out because there's nothing for them in their small town. Which is why the family moving out of the Valley made no sense in the first place when they knew the older children would eventually want to branch out.
I do agree that if they're just handing out homes, it has to be for everyone. It seems that Weston and Cody figured it out financially for themselves and are doing well. Jonathan, too. But Destiny got a house and now Lacey and Cynthia got one as well. I think it's great if you can give kids a great head start without debt, but it should be for all.

Re: Crazy Middles/ Crazy Pieces | Part Two
In the latest CP video Hannah was reminding me more and more of Kass from Not Enough Nelsons. They are both over the top and the rest of their family tend to just grin and bare it
Re: Crazy Middles/ Crazy Pieces | Part Two
They moved from the valley because they could get a bigger house with more space in a smaller town I think. But yeah I'm sure there's not really any opportunities for young people. in St. Johns. As much as I can say I wasn't in a rush to move out I grew up in a big city.automotivegal781 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 03, 2021 1:42 pm Part of me thinks it's good they moved out because there's nothing for them in their small town. But yeah I def agree when you start buying houses for some people and not others is kinda odd.
Re: Crazy Middles/ Crazy Pieces | Part Two
100% agree but these are the people who spend money on their kids at christmas based on their behaviour throughout the year which I don't agree with in an ordinary family set up, let alone theirs where children have had different experiences, traumas and reasons for their behaviour. Of course they are only going to fund their favourites first homes.automotivegal781 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 03, 2021 1:42 pm Part of me thinks it's good they moved out because there's nothing for them in their small town. I hope Lizzy gets Nicole's old room and then Addy & Aubrey can move into the other. Lizzy will probably live there during university and having her own place to study is important.
I have a feeling the families are regretting moving to St.Johns. I feel they had their valid reasons whatever they were to move there at first but didn't think about the logistics of driving so far to go anywhere with a bunch of kids, not having much to do etc. I reckon both will migrate back to the Valley soon enough.

I get the same impression!
The more I see of those contacts she wears the more they are awful! And can she stop doing the blegh thing it’s really weird!
I can’t believe Jake has ended up sharing a room with Brady and Logan! Poor kid! I know the room looks very large but still!
Re: Crazy Middles/ Crazy Pieces | Part Two
On the mirror hallie hid in CPs newest video, i think (not sure) that it said ‘you a slut’ and other things like that which is why she hid it. she seems the most rebellious out of the CPs kids- which isn’t a bad thing because they don’t seem like normal teenagers (especially alex)
maybe i’m old fashioned but logan seems to have so many screens! he has a phone, airpods, ps4!! i think he’s only 9, maybe 10 but that seems such a bad idea as it completely isolates brody- logan’s his peer who he looks up to.

Re: Crazy Middles/ Crazy Pieces | Part Two
I agree that there might be some regrets there. They moved to a lower cost of living area and with a cheaper area comes less resources. CPs moved Jamie to Melinda because she wouldn't get the support she needs in their town. They've had to travel far to get Aurora medical care. I think staying at home most of last year has really showed the children that their town limits their opportunities. I recall that Shelly said something about how in the Valley, the extracurricular activities were really competitive whereas in their town now, all of the children can participate no matter the skill level.KTC wrote: ↑Sun Jan 03, 2021 1:57 pm I have a feeling the families are regretting moving to St.Johns. Re: Crazy Middles/ Crazy Pieces | Part Two
I stopped watching the CP and CM channels back when they decided to exploit Jonathon’s illness (It’s really none of our business, but I hope he had a good recovery and is still doing well - both health-wise and financially. I think he got exposed as he worked alongside healthcare workers - I wonder if he went back to that position, or if he was temporarily laid off due to his health? Anyway, I hope he’s doing alright and staying safe.)
I came back to this thread and watched the latest CP video to see what you were all talking about. I couldn’t even get through it, even watching at 2x speed. Half the clips were of the girls (and Crystal) giggling at stupid things. I think it’s great that Crystal is so positive and uplifting on camera, but she comes across as more of one of the siblings. I’m not going to tell someone how to live their life, but it was very uncomfortable and cringey to watch the constant giggling and random=funny humor they have going on. Oh well, I guess I’m not their target demographic (despite the fact that I’m just slightly younger than Hallie and Ariana).
I’m sure these videos are fun for them to watch later, but it’s really weird to me how they just broadcast their daily lives to thousands of strangers (with minors, who cannot consent to this blatant invasion of privacy, being involved). If you’re reading this, Shelly/Jared or Crystal/Aaron, I hope you’re aware that putting your kids on display completely warrants all the critical comments we’re making. That’s all for now, sorry if I rambled a bit

New thread title idea: 'Casting out old and collecting new' (this goes for children as well as furniture, xmas decorations etc)
Re: Crazy Middles/ Crazy Pieces | Part Two
Man, just watched the bedroom tours. Hannah is actually really really awful to watch lately! I think in the future she is going to end up having a serious downfall. She isn't as funny or cute as she seems to think she is. Not even funny at all IMO. I do wonder if she has many friends as I think she'd be the type of friend who is annoying AF! Almost like a try hard who acts bimbo like.
The actual room tours were pretty crap too.... "here is my bed, here is my night stand, here is my rug". Man, show us the room, get them to say the part they like the best and be done with it.

Re: Crazy Middles/ Crazy Pieces | Part Two
I look at Hannah as a normal 14 year old, just silly.
Anyway, they spent so much money on a minecraft room for Logan and Brody, and that basketball room for Jake, and now they are all in an attic.
Matt got Logan and Brody's old room and Lucas is in Jake's.
If your gonna switch so much don't put all that money I to rooms.
I absolutely love Max, but I think he rules the best, first he shared with Jake and wanted his own room, they made it happen, the. He wanted a different room and out went Brody and Logan .

Re: Crazy Middles/ Crazy Pieces | Part Two
I have a feeling Hannah is very different off-camera. There are several times where you just see her sitting around, no makeup, with Ariana and Hallie. Once she's on-camera, I do think she tries to be as entertaining as possible for subscribers.
The room tours are weird, tbh. They completely removed one of the more interesting rooms (Minecraft theme) less than a year (or so) after doing the makeover. And how many hydroflasks does Hannah need in this lifetime? Those aren't cheap at all. Most people I know use them for camping or hiking - I had no idea teens collected them.

Re: Crazy Middles/ Crazy Pieces | Part Two
Yep, lots of teen girls (in the U.S.) have hydroflasks they bring to school. They usually just have one, though, and deck it out with stickers and everything. The bottles sound awful when they fall, and they seem to dent easily, but I guess trends are trends.automotivegal781 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 04, 2021 7:03 am And how many hydroflasks does Hannah need in this lifetime? I'm not bothered by Hannah's behavior. She's only 14 and I'm sure she plays up her behaviour to be entertaining .
Interesting that only Alex and Hannah are doing in person school of the teens.

Re: Crazy Middles/ Crazy Pieces | Part Two
If Hannah were a little older, I'd say the way she acts is a little over the top. But if she's only 14, that seems about right. 14 is when a lot of kids still act pretty squirrely. All of the makeup she wears always makes me think she's several years older than she really is. There's no way my mom would have let me leave the house with that much makeup on when I was that age!

Re: Crazy Middles/ Crazy Pieces | Part Two
I actually think Hannah is a very beautiful child and it saddens me that she feels the need to wear heavy makeup all the time and even colored contacts now. I mean, there are children I don't think are cute, like Jesss' Lilia, but Hannah is very pretty. All the girls in the Pettit family are.Bekkaz wrote:Man, just watched the bedroom tours. Re: Crazy Middles/ Crazy Pieces | Part Two
I don't think any of them are beautiful in the true sense, they are just normal average looking girls, and that's perfectly fine! Sure they make themselves look gorgeous with make-up but that's not real. It's sad they all feel the need to make themselves up so much. The cute comment was more abut how she acts, not her looks.Brazilnut wrote: ↑Mon Jan 04, 2021 2:13 pmI actually think Hannah is a very beautiful child and it saddens me that she feels the need to wear heavy makeup all the time and even colored contacts now. Still you all made a point that she is only 14, I don't really remember my friends or I acting like that at 14 but then I am an introvert so maybe her behaviour is very typical of today's 14yr olds.
