Hi fellow mom of 6! I just wanted to say that I feel ya! I had my first 4 within 3 years and there were days that I was just thankful we made it through alive I can only imagine your stress level! Just know that it does get easier, I promise. You are a rockstar working night shift on top of that! As a SAHM, I know how hard it is to accomplish what needs to be done in a day - I am in awe of someone who can do it AND work outside the home, much less a night shift! As for Kristin, I have to say that I agree with you 100%. Yes, I realize that videoing, editing, answering comments, etc takes a lot of time and involves work, but it isn’t the same as a working mom. It’s actually insulting to those women who do have actual jobs where they have to leave the house and their kids, plus do everything else, and don’t have a choice if they want their family to eat! In her case, she’s usually making videos of shit she should be doing anyway (like cleaning) or things that she is doing anyway (like shopping), so the “extra” work it takes to bring a camera along is pretty minimal, I feel. It’s most certainly not a full time job (“working mother”) when you can take time off to take your kids to the doctor or dentist, not worry about missing days if they are sick, get dressed at whatever time you choose, clean your house, do laundry, cook, grocery shop, etc during the day, go on trips on a whim with no consequence, etc., and never miss a cent in the process. While really working moms are usually up at the crack of dawn to get themselves together before the kids wake up and don’t stop until they get into bed many, many hours later. It’s actually incredibly rude of her to compare herself to actual working mothers. She’s got a hobby that she’s turned into a profit while actual working moms are busting their ass for a paycheck to feed their kids.GladIfoundthis wrote:"I'm a busy, working mom of 3 who makes a shopping list for a weekly menu of hot dogs and mac and cheese!" I wish she could walk 1 day in my shoes!! Mom of 6 here, all under 5 years old who works 12 midnight shifts!! Please!
