Someone in the comments suggested that maybe the Tannerites channel name couldn't be changed as they had too many subs - I'm not sure if that is the case but just putting it out there in case someone knows if it's right.

I don't get why they keep talking about their 'new adventures/journey'. Nothing appears to have changed. And I'm hugely intrigued about the broken marriage comment...

They had better hope their "Yawi" merch doesn't go the way of the #Bollie, especially with the pop-sockets. There's already a non-profit with the same name that works to prevent drunk driving https://www.yawi.org/. Renaming the kids channel was a strange decision. They would reach more people on their main channel.

It's deffo a money thing, but they'll probably keep saying some bull about wanting a new place to make memories or a fresh start lol
If they got demonetized or got a telling off for exploiting the kids, it would be much less dodgy-looking if they were honest about it. Bonnie Hoellein vlogged when she was upset that it happened to her channel.

So one of Johnnie’s comments was that the Tannerites chamn is completely going away. Is this so they can delete the old video and do away with the past without looking so dodgy about it and being questioned about it. Once the channel is deleted, all the videos are deleted and he doesn’t have to go in and clean them up one by one to try to get demonetized because it’s too much work. This way it looks like the family had a discussion (gag - they live under his rule) and they want to start fresh with a purposeful name and mission. You are worth it.

Truth be told, I always thought Tannerites was a dumb name. lol they're some Biblical tribe. And tannerite is an explosive. They obviously didn't research the name before choosing it...

Omg what?! The yawi family? “The you are worth it family”? That has got to be the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard. Sorry if anyone is offended here. I’ve always thought they were OTT with their slogan and now they’re changing their entire channel for it? People are still going to refer to them as the tannerites because that’s who they are known to be.

My guess is that they are trying to start fresh, I had noticed lately a lot of negative comments about how they treat Daniell and how they vlog Canyon on the potty (etc) and I'll bet they want to "delete" all that and start over. Although I hated the name Tannerites, it made more sense because of their last name, plus it sounds more catchy than Yawi.

They must have made the old Tannerites kids channel into this Yawi channel because I was already subscribed without realizing it. Although there were no clips of Daniell being punished or Canyon on the potty, everything was basically the same. Canyon running around out of control. They went to clean the church and Johnny made some comment like "We obviously can't be watching Canyon while we're working, so we don't know where he is right now but he must be somewhere in the church." The older girls weren't in much of the vlog that I watched.
