Re: BritneyandBabyx3: Part 18
Again, I dont think anyone here is saying you cannot be a good mom if you have depression, PTSD etc... MY point was if you are suffering depression like symptoms and either havent been formally diagnosed or are still trying out new meds to see what works why would you actively try to get pregnant... when you already have a child and are in your early 20s... basically, what is the fucking rush... It is not to say she never should have had more children, that she is a bad mom or that I think she is lying... NONE of the above I just do think she should have slowed down and taken care of herself to the best of her ability.ladymama wrote:I have PTSD, Borderline Personality Disorder, a Phobia disorder and Generalized anxiety and depression. My first was a special kind of surprise, but we planned our second. I am a damn good mom.
In comparrison, my mother has no mental illness and she was a twat.
Mental illness doesn't make or break your ability to be a good parent. Just like not having mental illness doesn't necessarily make someone a good parent.

Re: BritneyandBabyx3: Part 18
I feel sad for her. I suffer from some depression and panic disorder myself and mine all came out when I was 25 or so. So many women, I find, get diagnosed in their mid twenties with this stuff. I think this modern world makes being a woman especially anxiety provoking and so many women feel they need to do everything perfectly- especially with social media. She talked about her depression mostly- but I think there's probably a lot more anxiety mixed in there- as they go so hand in hand. Such a hard thing to struggle with when you just want to live your life.
I personally have panic disorder that comes out as depesonalization and disassociation. I obviously don't know her- but when she mentioned "brain fog" that was the first thing that I thought of.
Depression and anxiety is so tough because it is a cycle. You feel anxious and depressed so you don't want to leave the house much. But then you don't leave the house much so it makes you more depressed and anxious. So many circular things like this with mental illness- so tough.

Re: BritneyandBabyx3: Part 18
I saw Britney's depression a mile off! I think she has been quite brave talking about it - despite being a YT mummy I think she is quite a private person.
It explains SO much though: the constant need for perfection in the house/routine, the lack of socialising and thus no real friends, the always shopping (comfort) and target (safe out of the house place) and no outdoors activities for the children.
i think she is having a baby because it's her "safe zone" - home, nursing, making dinner, quiet & non threatening life.
My heart breaks for the reality of how hard the times off camera must be.
I'm glad she has sought help via a doctor and medication. Hoping some counselling may be an option for her.
Life is going to be so hard with Nolan facing a debilitating condition and a new born.
Aria seems so grown up and easy. So that lessens the load, but maybe as time goes on that will change.
I find Britney sweet, but definitely a lost lamb!

Re: BritneyandBabyx3: Part 18
Can we talk about how after she says her kids are "crazy" or "wild" when they're doing totally normal kid stuff? Or has that been covered... because it drives me nuts. I have two awesome but very high-energy boys, and her kids seem downright angelic comparatively. It reminds me of a first time new mom dealing with toddler behavior, except she's about to have her third? Confusing.

yes - but any form of non easy behaviour is a challenge for her "perfect lief" facade lolimapumkinseed wrote:Can we talk about how after she says her kids are "crazy" or "wild" when they're doing totally normal kid stuff? my boy is crazy, hates sleep, has speech and behaviour problems due to being a micro preemie.
sometimes i think - what IS she on about!?!? Even Nolan's outbursts are low key... unless off camera is MUCH worse ?

Here's a small snipet of MY wild child compared to Aria. They are only a few months apart I think. So we were at target looking for some pajamas for my son. It was just me and him. We were in the clothes isle when he spotted a movie he wanted. He asked to see it and I said after I find some pajamas for you. My son then proceeded to start crying and trying to walk off to the movie section so I held his hand and said no not yet! Then....just then this kid decides to yell for help!!!!!!!! He kept screaming "sumbody help me!! Sumbody help me!!!" He was loud!! I would have been scared of what people thought of my situation but he looks just like me so no one would think he was being kidnapped lolsmom12 wrote:Yeah her kids are totally wild... lol she is so clueless.imapumkinseed wrote:Can we talk about how after she says her kids are "crazy" or "wild" when they're doing totally normal kid stuff?
