Not saying she wouldn’t want Maeve alive...Obviously she would trade all that attention for Maeve back but that’s not possible/ so the next best thing is getting her fix of attention and pity.

I can't stand liars who get away with it. But I think she only gets away with it on Social Media with strangers. It's telling that her lack of relationships outside of John and her parents indicates that those who know her can see her BS and got themselves cut out of her life for calling her out on it...or they up and decided to walk away on their own...which is more likely.

Spot on. She will be a regular woman on IG if she just focused on Vera. She’s only interesting because of Maeve. That’s the same way Missy Lanning got her “fame” by using stillbirth in every video just to grab attention and well, it worked. Now they are so well off.

Why would they only have that many, anyway? Posed pictures, maybe... but surely they had some other pics of Maeve, or even videos? She died in 2015, not 2005. Every phone has a camera. I always found that very odd.

Why would the hospital not organise someone from Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep to come and take photos of them? Did Joan ever say what happened after she gave birth - how long they spent with her body?
Nearly all the photos she posted were taken by someone from now I lay me down to sleep and from memory they had some photos they took themselves as well. I don’t think they’re ever mentioned video and I highly doubt that if they had it they wouldn’t share it. They had a few hours and she had mentioned a lot how angry she was when they said they needed Maeve to go in a cold crib because she must have been going to start the decomposition process (I can’t remember the particular details) but I know Joan made John confront the nurse and tell them to get our etc..... I can’t imagine how distressing it would be but the way she has explained it is like the nurse is victimising then.... not just doing their job

Vera Mae. Mae Vera, Maeve. Poor baby won't breath without being reminded about her sister. Joan just posted a picture about her lactation specialist visit and also had to mention Maeve.

Edenberry wrote:The vast majority of commenters praising Joan for her "Wonder Woman" pushing abilities have never given birth. You can tell by their IG profiles. Most are younger women who don't have kids.
Nobody who had actually pushed a baby out or been there during childbirth would possibly believe she actually pushed for 11 hours.
Not just because of the stress on baby, but on mom too. Pushing is hard work! They wouldn't call it "labor" if it was easy! I had a relatively easy time with mine, and 23 years later I still remember how hard it was to push my kids out! My daughter's godmother had shoulder dystocia with her second, and the OB had lost a baby a few days earlier. He let her try a few times, and said nope, we're going in. There's no way in hell a doctor would let someone high risk like Joan go for 11 hours.
It would almost be worth being blocked to call her out on it, but I am too interested in how she's going to parent Vera (and still make time to parent Maeve)

Well it looks like they already took new baby to visit Maeve’s bench.

Told you nothing is interesting if it involves Vera on her own.

Poor baby is roasting in the sun. Like use the shader at least? Hope it wasn’t for too long...

I thought the same. I hope they just had her uncovered for the pictures.

It looks like they are putting Vera in her bed on top of the dogs bed... no wonder Louise is timid and not sure, she should know that her bed is her space and that the baby has her own space. We always let our dog have her “safe places” (dog bed and kennel) if she wants to be away from our little ones.

Heaven forbid Louise gets territorial about her bed..

Then how would you think more than 1.5 hours of pushing means that something is “seriously” wrong??? Yes, 11 hours is too long. But 3-4 hours of pushing is allowed especially if you have an epidural here in the US. I took 2.5 hours to push with my first, I can’t imagine my doctor considering forceps/vacuum/csection after just 1.5 hrs.
Re: Joan... from experience there shouldn't be any injury like Vera has, even if it looks minor on the surface. That is considered something "seriously wrong" during delivery. Every mother, pregnancy and delivery is different. I specialise in a certain area of high risk pregnancies. From what Joan shows, there should have been some kind of intervention to avoid bub being in her birthing canal too long. I had my share of personal birthing experiences also. Every situation is different. In Australia, they have procedures you go through for "bereavement deliveries," High Risk after stillbirth to treat women with anxious pregnancies such as Joan's, and putting a woman through a rough second stage of labour isn't physically or mentally safe for mum or bub. I'm just observing photos Joan is posting and writing about and perhaps my personal opinion is mixed with both my personal and professional experience as a Midwife, and mother. I've delivered hundreds of bubs and cared for thousands of pregnant women in my career. Im just offering my opinion. You can take it or leave it.
I respect what you went through while delivering your child(ren), and I respect what everyone's personal experiences were in delivering their babies. I respect that many hospitals, states and countries have different policies and procedures in their birthing suites. I am writing in a gossip forum, it gives me a mental break and a good laugh. I dont care for pain-olympics or google-knowledge-of-birth-and-deliveries-olympics to interfere with what I do for a living. I wont comment further not to waste my time.

My guess is despite her NUMEROUS posts and videos about how she wants Vera here healthy no matter what and she had totally accepted her being breech and having a c section, once Vera flipped she was 100% dead set on a vaginal birth and probably pulled the anxiety card asking them to hold off on a c section as long as possible. Which is incredibly selfish and risky in her condition. I hope I’m wrong.

Look, all I said was here in the US they will let you push for 3-4 hours. I wasn’t even talking about Joan specifically. When you replied to me and said you had never heard of that, I cited ACOG because my OB is an ACOG physician and I knew they would have guidelines on their website. I wasn’t playing “google-knowledge-of-birth-and-deliveries-olympics” with you. I was just sharing that info because you were unfamiliar with guidelines in the US.

I don’t think Joan pushed for 11 hours. I don’t even think she would have pushed for 3-4 hrs. I think she is full of it.
