Maybe it's just me (although I don't think it's just me?) but I am just super uncomfortable with taking an infant to a chiropractor. I've seen several chiropractors in my life and I have never felt fully comfortable with any of them. It's one thing to experiment and try things as an adult, but with an infant I'm just uneasy... Too paranoid maybe? I dunno...

Where is Penny? Did they get rid of her or just ban her to the garage?

They sent her to 'school' (dog training/ boarding) with some of the other neighbourhood dogs. Their reasoning was that they are going to be away. It's been speculated that something happened with the baby and she got sent away for training.

I don't understand how people can forget all the paedophile bait E&J, and the Bumps kept putting up. They offered up their children for money. And they didn't stop until their cash flow was threatened. They put up a potty training vlog just a little while ago!
They knew why those vlogs did well and kept doing it. They are horrible people.

I'm 100% with you. I have nothing against chiropractic medicine, but it's not accepted by the medical community completely. While I'm sure it's probably ok and infant chiropractic practices are probably much more gentle than adult, Ellie treats the chiropractor as a cure-all and that's problematic to me.

Wasn't she saying that she took Calvin to the chiropractor for "breastfeeding issues"? I also have nothing against chiropractors, but they aren't the first professional I would go to for breastfeeding problems. I would go to a lactation consultant.

Exactly. Ellie didn’t take Cal for his neck, and in fact, proudly mentioned the chiropractor said he was perfect and had no issues like Tort just to dismiss the people suggesting their was an issue. It wasn’t until Jared stepped in and took him to the PT that Cal started receiving some form of treatment. MONTHS LATER.

Ellie was so defensive about the suggestions Cal had an issue that she used the Chiro’s opinion that he was fine as gospel. When it was suggested she get a second opinion, she instead took healthy little 2 year old Jackson in to prove a point. Made Jared start going too.

My husband has a degenerating disk in his neck and acupuncture has done far more for him than the chiropractor ever did. When he first started seeing a surgeon about it, the surgeon said to immediately stop with the chiropractor. They can often do more damage than good.

Whether you believe in chiropractic medicine or not, the chiropractor Ellie went to with Calvin was an absolute quack who told a mom something she wanted to hear and caused Cal to have damage far longer than necessary.

I took my little to a chiropractor at three days old. It’s extremely gentle, and my daughter would always be more relaxed after and sleep more. My chiropractor was also not one of those chiro’s you see on YouTube with the crazy neck and back cracking. If you’re thinking of that on a newborn, it’s not. Essentially it’s almost like massage.

My daughter also was tight on one side, but that can actually be normal. I wouldn’t have known otherwise, so I worked on her sleeping on one side and turning her head. Chiropractic did also help with breastfeeding, but she also had a tongue tie released and it was recommended by the doctor to see a chiropractor afterward.

I share that personal story to say that chiropractic care CAN be perfectly fine for a newborn, and can help with breastfeeding BUT....

If your kid has suspected tort, you should be seeing a specialist. My chiro would not have told me to just keep seeing her. We took preventative measures, and that was that.

I was also seeing a certified lactation specialist. My daughter also got a diagnosed tongue tie by a specialist and it was released by another specialist.

If Ellie isn’t working with professionals and isn’t seeing a COMPETENT doctor (Mr. What-Zika?-Two-Week-Early-Induction makes me think she DOESN’T see one) then chiropractic care is just a placebo to make Ellie feel better and reassure her that everything is fine.

The fact that she has Tommy using that awful pacifier, and has said he has a tight side on his neck greatly concerns me.

Jared, advocate for your son. DON’T wait months this time!!!

So they had to call poison control. They don’t say what happened but I’m sure everyone here is thinking it has to do with their lack of safety and leaving the kids unattended.

Ellie took her “he’s fine” diagnosis and ran with it in a way that had us here baffled. She said he had acid reflux, but never seemed to care about sitting him up more often. He spent so much time laying in the middle of the floor that YT friends purchased a Mamaroo swing for them. Did Ellie ever think to turn it around to encourage him to turn his neck more and maybe stretch out his muscles? Nope! It wad facing the tv the entire time so that he was just a little lump 24/7, leaning into his tilt even more.

She did so little to help Calvin’s neck that I remember us wondering here if she really just didn’t see the tilt anymore! Ellie doesn’t help her children, she helps herself.

I assumed since they didn't talk about it, that they had to call for Ellie or Jared. LOL... if it were the kids they would have exploited that.

Sorry if this is an annoying and old question. But I couldn’t find an answer. I know with Jackson she was induced (didn’t seem to be any reason why), Calvin she went into labor on her own, but what about Tommy?

Most of us believe she was induced for all 3 for convenience. Ellie most likely had Cervadil placed with Calvin and was told to walk around.

Think about it... a very pregnant Ellie just decides to go shopping instead of just sit on her computer in her bedroom of filth.... unlikely. Plus she has a distinct “tell” when she’s keeping a secret, and she predicted Cal would be born then with that smug look she gets when she thinks she’s being sneaky.

How old was Calvin when you/comments on youtube started to notice his neck?

Or did Ellie and Jared mention it first?

If i didn't know who were their parents, i'd say ellie and jared were siblings.
she follows everything her mom says, jared never (or rarely) has a say on anything based on his mother's/parents parenting. it's all about grandma griffiths.
you can call me kath.

AND... she knew exactly when Tommy would be here, told the kids it would be "two more churches" until they met TJ and she had that 4th of July outfit for him way before he got here. She was induced with all 3 for no real medical reason other than Ellie thinks preterm infants are cute bc they are little.

I randomly watched a video on hook tube the other day. Did you notice Ellie specifically ask Calvin about having to get new shoes and not wearing his boots? She looked right in the camera as to say "See horrible people,it is not me, my kid wants to wear them." She is such an idiot. If your kid wanted to jump off a bridge would you let him? That is why God gave children parents. To guide them and do what is best for them. Wearing rubber boots on your feet 24/7 does nothing to support a growing foot! You are ruining you kids feet! It is so obvious they read here. I hope they do. They need to realize how stupid they are

We were talking about his neck in part 2, even before E&J went to FL. It wasn’t talked about a lot though because at the time it was VERY UNPOPULAR to question anything about E&J on these boards. So basically we were taking about it right away, and Ellie didn’t address it until about August.... long after she’d had all the breastfeeding issues like reflux addressed.

It’s a fight she needs to have with him anyway if he’s going to start school. They will want him to have indoor shoes... not boots he can trip over.

I’m currently prepping my youngest for preschool and am having to find a sports bottle he’s willing to drink from. He’s fairly insistent he’s taking his cup from home and it’s a battle Image. Sometimes as a parent you need to fight with your kids. Yes it sucks, but its better to have them prepared for school.
