It isn't meant to be wise, it's meant to be suppressive and possessive, and it indicates their view of keeping a dog, which certainly doesn't include respecting her. Too much has happened already and the dog has been treated with disrespect systematically. And if _anything_ is important it is respect. Listening to what she is telling she needs. She knows what she needs and we don't know better.HelloSweetie wrote: ↑Fri Apr 19, 2019 12:35 pmsheltiefan wrote:In her recent Instastory, the puppy is outside with Joel and some of the kids and still with that playpen. So with people out there, the puppy is still not going to be able to run free! The way they are treating this puppy has me so aggravated! Like someone mentioned, this may have an opposite reaction than what she Bonnie wants with the views. I just hate the way this poor puppy is being treated!!!Z3phyr wrote: ↑Fri Apr 19, 2019 11:55 am It’s safe to assume the puppy equates the towel with bedding and doesn’t want to eat or mess on it. The puppy is smarter than the adults.
Why don’t they let the kids play with the puppy outside? Is it too cold there? Does anyone know if this mixed breed does well in a Utah-type climate?
It’s a cute puppy.
Yes, it is instinct for them to carry their food away from where they are eating. My dog does the same thing but she eats it eventually. Only problem is if you happen to be barefooted and not paying attention!! Ask my hubby! Difference is we just strug it off and Bonnie and Joel have a fit!
The playpen is prob necessary for safety right now. No way their fence is puppy proof, and Joel was doing yard work and not watching the puppy. In this instance, they are making a wise choice. The kids can’t keep the puppy safe in that big yard.
They are doing a lot wrong, but are actually doing some things right.

Bonnie Hoellein: Gone With The Group While Lincoln Has Croup | Part 53
I have a fenced yard to keep my dog safe. It could be considered suppressive and possessive by this logic. It is my job to keep her safe, because she isn’t smart enough to take care of herself. Given the chance, she would follow her nose and get lost (beagle). We have seen TWO vlogs with the puppy. They are still adjusting, and the dog has no way of knowing where she is. Even if she did, it would be stupid to give her free run of a yard she could escape from. I mean, we lead dogs on leashes, we don’t let them lead us even though they know where they want to go KWIM?lovingthisforum wrote: It isn't meant to be wise, it's meant to be suppressive and possessive, and it indicates their view of keeping a dog, which certainly doesn't include respecting her. I fail to see how placing the puppy in a puppy play yard where she is safe is a huge respect issue. If it continues a few weeks from now when they have adjusted and she is full grown then sure, but for now I think it’s sensible. There fence has many high spots a small pup like that can slip under (we know because that neighbour dog has slipped in before) and there is just no way to keep her in without fixing that. A play yard is a good sign that they plan to eventually let her run in the yard, instead of immediately putting up a dog run.
As for telling her when and where to eat (and likely when to drink) this is absolutely possessive and suppressive, but you were responding to the idea of the play pen and my suggestion that it was actually wise given the situation.

I think they’re talking about them ignoring the puppy every time she barks, essentially training her that communicating is a bad thing.

Nah, they quoted my post, so they knew what I was talking about. I specifically said the play yard was a “wise choice” and they countered with how it wasn’t about being wise at all.rdt1004 wrote:I think they’re talking about them ignoring the puppy every time she barks, essentially training her that communicating is a bad thing.

Re: Bonnie Hoellein: Gone With The Group While Lincoln Has Croup | Part 53
I seen this yesterday and was left shaking my head. Here is Bonnie's caption on a family pic of them yesterday on Instagram:
Raising kids is sticky, stinky, and chaotic.
I take pride in getting my kids ready for church on Sunday. I am showing them how to be clean, Fresh, and organized.
At the beginning of each season I buy them 1 nice outfit. I teach them to take care of it, and be grateful for it. They wear it every Sunday and TRY their very best to be reverent. Every week is a new start. For all of us.
This Easter Sunday we think of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. He died for us, so we could enjoy eternal life. The atonement, I am trying to use it, and be grateful for it. It cleans us, heals us, and guides us. Every time we use it, it is a fresh start. #eastersunday #easterweekend
So she is saying they wear the same outfit every week! I just checked the comments and someone asked for clarification on the statement and asked was that the LDC stand and here was her response: "it has nothing to do with our religion. It’s my preference. Joel has 2 suits and he rotates them. I have several dresses."

While I agree that a play pen thing is a great idea for the puppy, having Cody or Boston in it with the puppy and chasing it in there when it can't get away, is NOT a good idea at all. Kids just aren't gentle. They don't mean to hurt puppies but the parents need to be right on top of them with a pup.
Man, I would laugh so hard if they had a whoops before Joel gets the all clear

Roasted potatoes and broccoli is not a meal for 4 growing kids. I know we've said this a million times, but it never ceases to amaze me.

"Puppies First Bath"? No wonder Olivia can't spell. She's being raised by morons who don't care that they're ignorant. Are they bathing multiple puppies? No.
I just can't. If I am nitpicking, so be it. I just get so tired of the celebration of mediocrity that the world of YouTube has become.

Lady will not be in that family for long. the boys are constantly hounding her, handling her, chasing her, the poor puppy needs a break. Let her wander around, get to know her home, feel comfortable and find a safe spot where she can go to rest, whether it's her crate or a corner of a room, she needs a place where those kids leave her alone. The food they give her, should be broken up, not just dumped from the can in one whole piece. I swear they have no brains. Our township authorities gave a warning about the hawks here, they are especially aggressive this year. I'm outside whenever my dog is. Usually within 5 minutes or so, the hawks start circling above, and thats when i grab my dog and go inside. I hope they understand the dangers, I'd hate to hear anything happened to the pup, she's so cute.

That’s sad. I guess it’s better then cereal or toast but why couldn’t she add some grilled chicken? They could all use the protein and it’s totally nice enough to even have thrown it on the bbq.xx+YTfan+xx wrote: ↑Mon Apr 22, 2019 6:26 am Roasted potatoes and broccoli is not a meal for 4 growing kids. Re: Bonnie Hoellein: Gone With The Group While Lincoln Has Croup | Part 53
i agree. when my family had company, they brought with them two small dachshunds and without fail, every time they were taken out to potty, an owl or two would land in the trees above and call back and forth to each other. hawks too.
and those birds are known to be persistent. they will remember a house with small animals and sit outside, waiting for the moment you leave your dog unattended. seriously, the second a hawk or an owl catches sight of lady, they will be circling that house until the one moment she’s easy enough to grab. and god forbid it happen in front of one of the kids.
where i live, you get really acquainted with wild animals and how to treat your pets accordingly. we frequently have packs of coyotes wandering through our backyard at night so i’ve gotten smart enough to never give them the chance to snag a dog. not sure bonnie is smart or invested enough to do the same.

I was really tired when I watched the vlog so I didn't catch it at first. Then looked at it again when you mentioned it. They need to proofread stuff!lmmomSD wrote: ↑Mon Apr 22, 2019 7:13 am "Puppies First Bath"? No wonder Olivia can't spell. She's being raised by morons who don't care that they're ignorant. Looks like Bonnie is accomplishing what she wanted with Lady and vlog views! 381,000 views Thurs and 225,000 views Friday.

Alright, I’ll give her some credit. I think she looks puberty nice in the picture she just posted to her insta story about being in her Bollie jacket all weekend.
You can definitely tell her weight loss in her face, and I think she’s been looking pretty good in recent photos. though I do wish she’d smile her photos, at least this one didn’t have weird lips.

I think they are doing ok for now, but they got a puppy Bonnie didn't want, she is puppy training on IG that I don't think she is enjoying and she would much rather be doing beauty videos. I thought these vlogs would see even higher number of views which would be consistent with Bonnie's not so distant past with an audience who watched her faithfully everyday. They are not trending or seeing viewers go back and watch older vlog that has hurt their channel too.sheltiefan wrote: ↑Mon Apr 22, 2019 11:18 am I was really tired when I watched the vlog so I didn't catch it at first. I hope she can keep it up. It is a struggle when you travel and eat southern food that is delicious. I think it would have help if she saw a dietician or nutritionist and worked with a trainer she liked.queenc13 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 22, 2019 11:30 am Alright, I’ll give her some credit.
