It will be odd to see vlogs in a house other than the one the kids were both born into. I'm super sentimental and can already picture Cullen's moving out montage!

Did her parents give them money for a down payment on their old house? They may not owe very much on their old house. If they did a 15 year mortgage, and paid a little extra each month, they would pay it down pretty fast.

I would honestly hate to pay closing cost, insurance, and property taxes on that $650k home. Not to mention the cost of the renovation, and furniture on top of ^ those cost.

I bet they did. He may also have something from when his dad passed. I commented on the other thread though... our realtor when we bought said to expect to pay 10% less than listed. We did personally. For all we know they could've paid $600K

It has been intriguing to see YouTubers who succeed, look at what this job entails and marvel at the income with several channels.

They (CK) had to sell their house in order to buy this home so I doubt they paid the full asking price. Another unknown is their parents involvement financially in their lives. CK is not a big channel so it does leave questions to this home. Property taxes are not too bad, closing cost will not be cheap unless they negotiated this with the owners to pay part of them and insurance I don't know what this area cost, but it will cost something. Someone posted early they may have been saving...well they just purchased a pretty expensive Suburban, they do eat out a lot, shopping trips are shown on their vlogs a fair amount so I don't see them saving every penny.

I am still surprised at both CK and JK homes with the amount of work each of them need and the cost of these homes. Twenty to twenty-five year old homes who have not seen much work, many rooms are gut jobs to replace kitchen cabinets, appliances, flooring, fiberglass showers the list goes on and on. This is not like Katie's parents home where an aging home shows it's charm with the way they built homes back many years ago. The idea Katie has replacing some gold fixtures will see an outdated home with new fixtures. I hope their roof and windows are in good shape...that would be a big project.

I wonder if they looked at any homes that weren't 25+ years old? Katie's idea of upgrades seem way off base and even the upgrades they made in their current house were lacking. The house looks like it's big just for the sake of being big. It doesn't seem functional. Has anyone ever seen Jay and Kelley's previous house? It was a beautiful place. The listing photos were really nice. It was updated and seemed spacious. I can't figure how why they were in such a hurry to move that they would move into their new house without any renovations. When Katie talked about what they were looking for in a new place, I imagined that they would move into something like J&K's old house.
