It's like squeezing blood out of a stone with this one.

Maybe I could email Ashley and she'd send a few my way.

Damn now I'm tempted to go to our local Greek restaurant and just eat everything!

I Need some advice from all of you. What is something that I could carry on me that's fairly small incase I ever needed to defend myself. I was thinking pepper spray.

Pepper spray or a key ring. They're fairly inexpensive and you don't need a concealed weapons permit.
They also make stun guns that are small enough to carry.
Definitely look into something for self defense!

I have this ring.

I second the pepper spray.. And that key ring looks gnarley.

I carry pepper spray and a knife wherever I go.
Whenever I go walking with my daughter I carry a cane as well, for stray dogs mostly.

It's World Suicide Prevention Day.

Reach out to someone you know is hurting and just listen. You never know how much they might need to know you care about them and how they feel.

Today marks 13 years since a terrorist attack took 3,000 people away from their loved ones. I live an hour outside NYC so this hits close to home. I'll never forget that day. I was 6 and in 1st grade. We were eating snack when my principal announced over the PA that the towers had been hit. My mom picked me up and I had no clue what was going on, not until that night.

Where were all of you when you found out?

3 and 1/2 years old, making a cut out hand and coloring it in (orange crayon) while watching telly when I looked up and saw a plane crash into a building and my parents were having coffee with friends who were over, their reactions and the memory still bring a weird feeling back to me even how young I was I still remember it with clarity. The cut out hand hung on the back of our front door until we moved when I was 11.

We didn't even have a moment of remembrance over the announcements at my high school today. I was in a class of seniors with a few other juniors when a teacher brought it up; she asked how many of us remembered it. Only one other kid raised their hand.

Times are changing. :?

^^^^

I was 9 & watching Sunrise, Australian morning show & they were discussing it.....being 9 I didn't really know what was going on..

It was very dark in the sky that day, looking back it definitely felt eerie.

I listened to that heaven song with the little girl who lost her dad, there's another updated song where she is saying stuff as she gets older, it's really sad, I can't help but imagine how hurt she must be.. :-(
