I’m almost 100% sure they’re doing this because of the issue they’ve had with videos finding their way into the kids YouTube that don’t belong there. Almost all of these things have been depicted in videos on kids YouTube that have slipped past the algorithm. There are channels dedicated to posting videos of insects, tying up children, giving children and dolls injections, and videos where cartoon characters perform sexual acts. Unfortunately, because a lot of family YouTuber’s content includes some of these things (although to a much lesser extent and not will ill intent) they are getting hit with the demonetization and censorship as well because it’s an automatic system and therefore very generalized. I honestly hope for the sake of Levi and Alaya that they are not demonetized. It seems to me that they fear for it as well, as they have privatized ANY video that could possibly get them demonetized. I’ve always thought of YouTube as a career as a joke. A hobby, yes. Career, no. It’s not permanent and I’m sure everyone knew that from the get go, yet here they all are buying new houses and cars and spending hundreds of dollars on useless items. They’ve done it to themselves IMO by depending on a social media platform for they’re only income and not persuing a career or education when they had the opportunity from the get go.

Edited to fix spelling and also add that yes, I am fully aware that Kyra is in school now, but they’ve been able to afford it for years but instead had another child, bought a house and a car and continue to spend a lot of money. If she had started school after Levi was born she’d be halfway done or maybe even closer to graduating with her associates. She’d at least have her GED.

So are some of the doctors videos where the kids get there vaccinations. This is all speculation at this point. I also doubt that with the hundreds of tweets, calls, emails, etc. that YouTube is probably getting from influencers, fans, and creators that it would stay this way. I mean Bonnie’s channel was demonetized and they are more family friendly than OkBaby, but I’ve heard mixed things about whether or not they’ve gotten it back.

OKLeaveOscarAlready | Part 16

I will be happy the day family vloggers can’t make six figures exploiting their children’s personal memories, accidents, vulnerability, partial nudity for the world and creeps to see. YouTube is doing this because pedophiles literally search for bath time videos, potty videos, doctor visit videos and create creepy playlists and embed them onto third party websites. And it says a lot when the Yt family’s original statement when criticized by viewers is “were doing nothing wrong, it’s memories, not money blah blah” but once their money is threatened it’s back peddling to remove the inappropriate exploitive content- and they know exactly which videos are sketch. So gross tbh

YES! It’s the same with Bonnie’s channel. She told her viewers she wasn’t crying because of the money, but because she’d lose friends and that she’s grateful. It didn’t seem like an “I’m grateful” cry to me, and then she goes on to ask her viewers to blow up the YouTube twitter and contact them letting them know she’s family friendly. I wish youtubers would quick kidding themselves and admit they yes, they do depend on the income and it is about the income. If the income truly didn’t matter and was as expendable as they make it out to be then they’d have no problem with finding another source, since according to them it was merely a benefit in the first place.

It doesn’t take into consideration sponsored videos or other types of income that are not tied to views per video. It shows zero dollars because they have negative views which means that they took down a bunch of videos with a lot of views. I could be that K+O took the videos down to clean them up (remove naked/hurt babies/graphic images like bloodied panties) in the hopes that they will escape the demonization algorithm or it could be that YouTube itself took them down. Either way it doesn’t mean they have been demonetized, just that they are no longer earning from new views on the old videos they took down.
Youtube is going to shit if you can't even have a video of the birth of your child...

It’s not YouTube going to shit, these types of videos are still allowed on YT. They just won’t be monetized. As with a regular job you have certain dress codes, responsibilities and professionalism you have to follow in order to keep getting your pay check. If youtubers actually like sharing their content for the “memories” like they say they do then no one is stopping them from uploading. But if they want to get paid for the video then they have to follow what an advertiser wants. I am certain those videos were deleted by O+K because they were scared it would target their channel to be demonetized. So it’s about the money for them and not the “memories” clearly.

Clearly I can’t stand family vloggers that exploit their children’s vulnerable moments like O+K, I hate that they get paid for what they do, so I hope YouTube does demonetize their channel. It’s time that the YouTube dream job of “full time vlogging” dies and these people get real jobs lol

I don't see anything wrong with it being a source of "extra" income, and if they're really doing it for memories, they should just post whatever and if it makes them a little money, then that's just an added benefit. That would make a world of difference if it just become a hobby and source of extra money and not their sole income and they would just be posting fun memories and not their mundane daily lives because they'd be too busy with real jobs. They've created enough of a following that Kyra could still be a stay at home mom and do away with the nanny and Oscar could work and even with less views they could live comfortably. They'd just have to actually work and save and plan for all of the vacations they're used to taking now just spontaneously and without thinking about any job commitments like most adults who want to take time off. They have that following that would allow them to even post less often (3-5 days a week) just more consistently and still make money. They're just in for a shock because they've never really had to struggle like other young adults/young parents and earn their money. Oscar worked for awhile, but they blew up fast and the easy money came rolling in.

Not gonna lie, I'm deeply amused by the current situation. All these parents, acting as if it's their God given right to exploit their kids and all outraged that they aren't allowed to do it anymore. I wonder if Oskie privated the video of him bating Levi off the bed. As someone above mentioned, it's funny how they know exactly which videos are exploitative and were obviously just playing dumb before their mountain of cash became threatened.

For whoever said above that they hope, for Levi and Alaya's sake, that OK can continue with YT: I hope the opposite, for their sake. Do not worry for those kids, they can live decent lives (just not luxurious ones) if only their parents get real jobs/downsize the house/cars if needed. They don't need YT, they just want it because making money off of your kid is the easy thing to do while actually holding down a job wouldn't be quite as fun and easy and the Xbox would gather dust.
The above comment is not about you. It's about the Youtuber whose name I'm mentioning in said comment. Please do not take it personally. Thank you for understanding :)

I just watched today’s vlog and wow lol it’s the first time the kids were fully clothed for the entire video. They really are scared of losing all their money. They’ve always said how the kids walk around just in diapers at home because they’re mess but like ..... nah I don’t believe it.

we knew for a long time it wasn't about the memories for them once they had Alaya. Compared to Levi they did NOTHING for her to capture memories. If I remember correctly they said something like...she just does boring baby stuff so we don't vlog her much. Levi was their "entertainment".

personally I wouldn't have an issue with family vloggers IF they actually set boundaries and respected their children. For instance if I ever decided to vlog for youtube I would NEVER film my child while they feel sick, while taking a bath (not even from the waist up..there are people out there with twisted minds!), using the potty, or even getting dressed. These family vloggers need boundaries and i'm glad youtube is cracking down on them!

There's a HUGE difference between posting a video of a fun, family day at the park than a video capitalizing off of a child feeling sick or severely injured. How can they not see that?

I’m so happy that yt finally took action and gave those yt parents a lesson. I’m sick of seeing kids being exploited for money by the people who are supposed to protect them, and kids being brought to this world just for the views and money.
Hopefully they start paying them such a little amount of money or no money at all and all these lazy ass parents go back to the working force and start doing something valuable for them and their family. And the kids stop working.
Blogging parents always said it was all about the memories so we’ll see how many of them will continue to vlog their memories once they have a job at the local factory. They also always said that it was a career and that they learned a lot of valuable skills they could later use to get a good paying job, so we’ll see how many of them dare to write « Youtube family vlogging » on their curriculum when applying for a job and how many of them will use their experience to get a nice paying job.

I have a YouTube channel. I don't really post videos much and if I do they are just boring videos that no one other than family would want to watch. I don't even bother monetizing. When I first started I did a night time routine video and I titled it something like splashing in the tub. I didn't show my son from the waist down at all so there was nothing to blur. That video ended up with over 1000 views. I can't remember details exactly but the top country of views were Algeria and middle aged male. Which isn't anywhere near my demographic. I was also able to see where people posted links and there was a lot of WhatsApp. At first I was naive and thought maybe people were just sharing a cute video with sometime. It definitely makes you wonder where a lot of these views come from with big family youtubers.

Wow that is very very creepy. I would never think that a bath video not even showing anything would be something a pedophile would want to see. I've seen the video where Blake Lively speaks on the subject of child videos that go around on the dark web and it breaks my heart. This world is fucked up.

There used to be a pretty popular youtube mom (I can't remember her name for the life of me) who ended up finding her videos being linked on all kinds of crazy pedo sites around the world. I believe a lot of the lists they were on had something to do with diapers? She set all the videos with her kids in them to private and made a video speaking out about the issue and trying to warn other parents. I wish I could find it.

No. They probably left a while ago. I'm just wondering if KK aren't worried about demonetization because they ARE with a management company. Maybe OK and so worried because they aren't Image

I think their channel got demonetized so now they’re trying to remove any videos that could have caused it and take it up with youtube to ask for a second chance at remonetization
