Chloe and Beans: The 5 Tries And The Girl - Part 6

Regarding their speech, do you think Chloe doesn't actually realise how delayed it sounds because she's only comparing them to her other kids? Who apparently were all "late" to talk and...maybe it's just me, but aside from Evan I think all the kids (and Ro actually) have some interesting speech quirks that could probably have benefited from therapy. (I have had kids in speech therapy so I might just be zeroing in on things I remember mine having addressed!) Otto shares Ro's mumbling, v e r y slow way of speaking and Felix sounds like he's speaking on an exhale/out of breath/kind of grunts his words if that makes sense? Like, clearly they all (older boys) have a decent vocabulary and are progressing and lots of people have speech quirks so I'm not trying to sound nitpicky or like they're all impossible to understand. Just that I wonder if Chloe is so used to being married to a near-silent man and having kids who either yell or mumble that she doesn't even note the things that she could be doing to encourage clearer speech in all of them. Getting out from behind a camera would be a good place to start though, and I mean that sincerely. (Focusing on face to face conversation/interaction so they can better emulate speech.)

Good find! And they HAVE removed a LOT of older videos, but I'm cynical about it because it seemed to coincide with YouTube cracking down on vlogs that potentially exploited children, rather than Chloe being that empathetic. I think she's a little naive about their safety too: ok she's never shown the front of their home (apparently...I'm skeptical about that claim) but it sounds like they get more people recognising and approaching them and on that recent vegan fest one she had a little back and forth with the boys about, "isn't it cooool when people come and say hi and watch all our vlogs??" (Cue Evan whining about not getting their play button yet.) That's...not exactly healthy boundary modeling for kids. Anyone would be able to build report so quickly with any of those kids based on the vlogs and that's a bit scary.

While the chance of an out and out abduction or other creepy crime is low it must be bizarre to grow up realising that a stranger in a playground who comes up to say hi knows your name, your nicknames, your favourite foods, what your current musical bed configuration is like...not to mention realising even later on that those strangers were FUNDING that life. What a weird world.

But she still thinks it’s alright to post content of her children chewing with their mouths open and picking their nose and eating it :-o go figure. Removing those vlogs was all to do with YT and not just to her sense of what’s right for their kids, she really does like to bend the truth.

Considering she has shown quite a bit of their new house in her vlogs already, it wouldn’t take someone with local knowledge of the area to locate where they live very long. Quite naive really.

Exactly. She removed videos to keep her money safe. Not her kids

She has in the past pictured the front of her house on Instagram for multiple houses, someone on here also reposted the rent add for their previous house so it was not at all secret where they lived for anyone that would want to know. The past filmed bath scenes, poop explosions and crying outbursts have been removed but yeah not because the kids would end up not liking it but because youtube decided to crack down on these kinds of video's. Chloe was fine with cashing in the money and adding to her follower count to make the video's in the first place but now she thinks it's wrong?

Speech in the older boys is okay, not great but they are not worrying (yet), they were indeed late with speech, i remember Felix at 22 months old not really speaking but he clearly knew what was being said to him and he would react to questions. So yes he was behind speech wise but he had the basics of comprehension down, meaning that once he started speaking he learned very quickly. Henry seems to be more interested in repeating whatever is being said to him but he never reacts to something being said to him, that's why his development is so slow, because he doesn't seem to know what is being said to him.

This! The only one that sometimes gets something that is remotely different is Pearl because she is the girl and the whole gender neutral thing is only for the boys. Like i get it it's sometimes cute to match your multiples but not the whole damm time! She is the one that in her insta posts about their birthdays made 3 separate posts to explain how different they all are and yet they got the exact same presents. They could have given Rufus some animal/people/dino figures since he seems to love to play pretend, they could have given Henry some musical toys since he is usually bouncing along with music (when it is being played in the vlogs) and they could have gotten Pearl a dress up doll since she seems to love clothing and shoes, i mean how is it possible that i can think of this in 3 seconds and the triplets end up with underwear as a gift?

Also i sort of get the obsession with educational toys but what Chloe seems to be forgetting is that pretty much every toy at this age is educational, the dress up doll teaches how to put on clothes and how to take care of yourself, the musical toys teaches rhythm and musicality and the play figures stimulate creativity.

How sad that you’ve never met these children, just watched a few clips of them occasionally. And yet you’ve managed to think of far better presents, which I believe they would love and use repeatedly, than their own parents. Sure they might carry the stuffed Pokemon around for a while but some figures and the doll you mentioned they would use over and over again. They all have stuffed animals. They got them for Christmas. They don’t need Pokemon ones, they don’t know what that is!

So new vlog, i was early for once, they showed Evan and Felix playing with reading flash cards, nice to see that Felix is beginning to read, i just still don't understand why this has urgency over other things. I mean it's great to be able to say that your 3 year old or 4 year old can read but at what cost, is reading and counting to 100.000.000 more important than knowing how to behave in a social setting or how life works in general?

When i was 4 my parents focussed on me understanding different situations and how to act in those situations, they taught me for example how to set a table and eat in a proper manner (something i really don't see with them, they hardly ever get more than 1 piece of cutlery, never mind the talking with food in their mouths) Chloe once said in a comment when someone asked about them not eating with a knife and fork, that they don't need them so why teach them how to use them? They usually only eat food that can be eaten with just 1 piece of cutlery so they don't need to learn, now i personally have don't believe in that system, they won't be home forever and they need to learn these things young.

They are homeschooling, when are they going to take the oldest boys to a police station or a fire station to do a tour, they have the freedom to do whatever they want but they seem to just want their kids to be at home and read Pokemon books.

I had a 3-year-old reader. His preschool teacher told me most kids even out around 7-8 years old the early readers and the rest and it seems to be true with my kiddo and the students he's been in classes with.

Honestly, them reading early seems to be so they can homeschool themselves by doing more on their own. She used to bang on about the evils of worksheets but they're left to their own devices to "school" themselves I don't see how it's any better and aren't workbooks just an entire book of evil worksheets?

sezzajaydee wrote:The ‘catching up’ thing is subjective. Talk to a health professional and they say by 2 a kid should have caught up developmentally. But talk to a preemie parent and some say they never catch up because how can you gain age.

You’d assume however by 2, 3 at a stretch they’d be more on par with kids their own age. Just because majority of the big milestones are already out of the way.

That said lol. Those kids are way behind when it comes to talking. I have videos of my son singing songs at that age. I guess that’s the price they’ll pay for their mother to exploit the fact they were premature.

I really think “catching up” stops being a thing when you stop counting in months. Which makes sense, because as you mention, the milestones spread out. So, if at “around 3 years old”, they’re not talking - being born 3 months early doesn’t really make a difference.
It makes more sense as they get older - say if at 6 years old, one of them can’t write their name, it won’t matter if they’re 6.5 years or 6.8 years old. In school, some kids will be 6 months (or more) younger than their classmates, yet held to the same standards as everyone else. So unless their prematurity has caused developmental disorders (in which case, they should be doing occupational therapy), the gestation at which they were born isn’t really relevant

No, Chloe, nobody should be proud of you for getting your hair done for the first time in seven years. She's VLOGGED about getting hair trims so clearly she's had opportunity to have her hair done and just hasn't. That's fine. Why the new "teehee I've been such a martyr hello world!" act? She's also had her eyebrows tattooed and nights out with her sister so it isn't like she's had zero opportunities for #metime  Try harder Chloe. Here's an idea: show that your worn out looking husband actually has down time and a support network. And learn to drive... I'll give her a gold star for that.

So she wants people to be proud of her and smother her butt in yet more kisses. No Chloe, a marriage and partnership is to give and take, not just take, take, take, how incredibly selfish of you. Poor Ro, I wonder just how long it will be before he sees life beyond her and the 6 kids. #freeRo

In relation to prem babies catching up. Our first child was born almost 9 weeks early and was growth retarded like Pearl, we had to visit one of the top paedatric doctors every 3 months until the age of 30 months. We were monitored for all aspects of development along the way and were told that a premature baby should have developed sufficiently enough to be on an even keel as every other 2 year old by that stage. If there are diagnosed gaps of under development in any area then the child is referred to the appropriate specialist to help them as soon as the problem begins to emerge. Early intervention is essential.
There was a big emphasis on catching up at the age of 2 though as it was explained that the child needs to be given more parental guidance in all areas of learning especially educational and speech development, because if the time and energy is not put into any child regardless of their level of prematurity then that child may always struggle. We put our child in daycare from the age of 12 months for the social, educational side and help develop the language skills. Before we started daycare we went to the local library for baby book reading sessions and attended some playgroup sessions. We didn’t just sit around and hope for the best “because every child develops at their own rate”, having that type of attitude is not conducive for any child let alone a premature child and if you love and CARE about your kids then you will go to the ends of the earth to ensure that they are looked after properly.

Chloe doesn't have a clue about what it takes to be a parent, it takes nights staying in the hospital on a crappy bed soothing a confused toddler, nights and days away from your partner, cleaning/mopping/cooking/washing and repeat for years, it takes a sense off self sacrifice that she clearly doesn't have, life isn't about you anymore from the moment your child is born but it seems like everything always has to be about her even though she pretends to her minions that it isn't.

But great she got her hair done, let me guess who had to take her to that appointment, had to take care of the kids in the mean time and had to pick her up afterwards.....

Yeah I think Chloe got the word selfless and selfish mixed up when she become a wife and mum :-o because she certainly is the latter.

I had terrible anxiety growing up and still suffer crippling anxiety to this day so I was late at getting my license for that reason, but I grew the heck up. My husband had a rather bad work place accident and I felt useless because I could not drive him to appointments or anywhere for that matter and he had to rely on taxis to get around, it was a really hard time and I felt incredibly guilty for letting him down. It took a long time and many driving lessons to feel comfortable enough to go for my license but it was a great feeling of achievement when I did get it and finally take responsibility for myself and my family. Marriage and motherhood is full of sacrifices that one has to make and if you don’t then something somewhere along the line will fail.

do her kids every play pretend? no right? that’s kind of worrying that none of them ever pretend. sure they pretend to eat with those wooden toys and what not but i don’t think i’ve ever seen them all run around pretending to be pirates or whatever. i also don’t think i’ve ever seen them use the kitchen to pretend to cook or play house or whatever. it’s been proven that pretend play is important in a child’s development. parents might fear it because they believe the child won’t know between fantasy and reality but that’s not true. maybe she didn’t learn that in her google degree. i guess they sometimes play pretend but it’s all kind of realistic like they built a cake out of sand but they don’t give it to anyone to eat or pretend they own
a bakery or something. that’s just sad.

The mom who likes to tell us every chance she gets that her kids decide what kind of haircut they got decided to only have her girl have long hair.... Both Rufus and Henry were not asked about what they wanted and got their hair cut short, Pearl who definitely asked for short when Felix got back with his short hair didn't get it cut short. So she is saying that her kids decide unless they are girls because then it needs to be long.

Also i just realized that the Pokemon toys the triplets got for their birthday are the 3 starter Pokemon for the 2nd season of Pokemon, the big boys got the starter Pokemon for season 1, what a nice gift for 3 kids that don't watch television and can't read so should have no clue what Pokemon is.
