Anyone have any news on the fires in Utah?
Just shows how outdated they are! Not a comment from one of them!
Watching vlogs of trips with Ruby’s horse smile and Bonnie painting on her face constantly while the news is talking about homes in danger! So super annoying!

sorry to be That Poster, but since i don't recognise a lot of the usernames on here lately, i'll beat the same dead horse i always do for everyone that missed it the first thousand times:

please stop condemning shari to a lifetime of being ruby and getting at her for showing signs of having grown up in an abusive environment. especially since she's still living in it. re the julie/bread thing: julie getting the brunt of the family's resentment has been discussed at length here and doesn't need to turn into a "lets rip shari to pieces" session.

do i condone shari's behaviour? of course not. but it's a lot more complicated than just "oMg ShArI sUcKz!!1" please give the girl a break.

most people on here are in agreement that these kids are having their privacy massively violated every single day, and that extends to this. idc if she has her own channel - shari isn't in a position to consent to having her behaviour analysed by thousands of strangers. she's still a kid - go easy on her publicly please.

i was an asshole at her age. i came from a shitty environment and had a lot to unlearn going into young adulthood. she has the right to do that privately. you can't complain about ruby abusing her kids rights and then subject shari to all this shit. she's sixteen - we have no reason to call her names here.
I don't see why we can't. Like previously stated no matter what situation you come from, parents you have etc. you know right from wrong, especially at 17. They put their lives (and therefore their views on the world) out there so its our right to criticize them. Younger people are held accountable for their actions everyday but because Shari is a YouTuber/Influencer she's automatically untouchable? Thats a BIG NO for me. This enabling behavior is exactly why people like Shane Dawson, Jeffree Star, Tana, Trisha etc. still have huge platforms even though they're DISGUSTING racist/pedophiles/sexual predator. Ya'll so quick to give these people a free pass and have the nerve to be surprised when something more reprehensible comes out about your faves. Am I comparing Shari Franke to a pedophile/racist/toxic/problematic person? NO, however, the younger we hold these "social media Influencers" for their behavior the more likely they're going to change it. There isn't any "going easy on her" because its the truth, the minute she goes out into the real world she's not going to know what to do with herself because she's so sheltered. These are the people that our youth are watching, ITS OKAY TO HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE. There's literally youth that think RACISM/PEDOPHILLA /SEXUAL DEVIANCY is normal and do it on the regular for clout, which in turn makes those three things normalized in our society which it shouldn't be. Tbh, you're apart of the problem 🤷🏽‍♀️
Exactly, we are aware of Shari being a product of her environment that's why I used to defend her when she was younger. She didn't know much better then and her parents are mostly to blame but she's old enough today to choose between being nice and mean.
Shari's even been called out on her channel from younger viewers on how she mistreats Julie and she admitted not being nice to Julie specifically.
I would want Shari to win but she just seems to gotten worse in some ways.

facepalm lmao
this has gotten blown up in a completely different direction to my actual point
idk whether it's my fault for not being clearer or whether people just get riled up easily lol

what i am NOT trying to say:
- we can't ever comment on a child or young person's behaviour, even if it's bad
- we can't say how that child or young person's behaviour is going to affect the people around them
- we can't acknowledge that their behaviour has negative consequences
- we can't say that a child or young person displays certain traits that are concerning
- a magic switch turns on when someone reaches 18 and suddenly they're an adult now and can be held accountable for their behaviour

what i AM trying to say:
- it's not cool to start getting super personal about a child or young person just bc they did something shitty
- since we're the grown ups here, we have a responsibility to these kids (who are already being exploited) to try and be as objective as possible when we acknowledge this stuff
- understand that adults literally tell kids who they are and are responsible for shaping their identity - we are no exception here - if the kids read here one day and they have their futures predicted for them like it's a fact, they're just gonna have the idea that they're "broken" reinforced, which is something abuse victims struggle with enough as it is

tl;dr

cool with me = "wow shari was really mean to julie about the bread, poor julie, i just want her to get away from all that toxicity asap. i really hope shari doesn't carry that over to her own parenting because then the cycle will continue."
not cool with me = "shari is rude and bossy and a know it all and a mini ruby and she's just gonna end up abusing her own children and drop out of BYU and have a million kids like ruby did. she needs to be punished!"

see the difference now?
if not then i really don't think there's much point in me saying a lot more

So I was worried people would stop exposing them but this just popped up in my recommendations

I hope that works. Someone made a video about them just 2 hrs ago!
It was a really good video. Much more informative of Ruby's actions than the tons of other YouTube videos that were released about them. It's a bit long but totally worth the watch IMO.

I appreciate what you've said on here, I don't think you're asking too much or trying to control how the conversation goes, just trying to re-center us and think about what we're saying because things can get out of hand. I have definitely been guilty of being too harsh towards Shari, because I get super frustrated and worked up about this family often and seeing evidence of the negative traits being passed down to the next generation is scary. But I liked your examples in the previous post and I personally will try to keep my posts in those lines and not go too far.

I literally gagged while watching their vlog today, when they mentioned how they hadn't been showering during their vacation. Chad could actually shape his hair with the amount of grease in it - looked like he was wearing hair gel. I thought maybe they didn't have access to a shower, but then she said they did and she just found an excuse not to take one. Seriously, they're rolling around in sand, sitting around smoky campfires, sweating in the sun all day, probably smearing themselves with sunscreen and bug spray, and they didn't shower! How could they stand the smell in that tight, closed in RV? I don't understand how hygiene just doesn't matter to them at all. Those kids had to have gotten rashes or been extremely uncomfortable, when Eve and Russell were literally burying themselves in sand and I'm sure Ruby didn't bother to make sure they showered or changed clothes the whole trip, when she can't even shower herself.

Definitely nasty considering they were buried in the sand. There has to be mites or some kind of bugs in that sand. Also, when Olivia, Abby and Julie got into the bed with their street clothes on. I couldn't go that long without showering to some extent. They probably didn't rush to get one once they got home either. Just all levels of gross.

This is especialy gross considering the need for heightened personal hygiene during this worldwide pandemic.

Also why don't the girls ever tie up their hair whenever they bake/cook something?? Oh wait, another hygienic tip that has NOT been taught by the useless Griffith mothers.

Did anyone besides me think Shari was acting kind of pouty during the whole "Kevin cake" part of the vlog? She really seemed annoyed that she wasn't the center of attention.

I'm not excusing them, but to be fair neither my sister nor I were taught to tie up our hair when cooking/baking and I'm 67, so maybe it's just like my family growing up as something that wasn't taught.

Sister and I were taught a lot of things when we started cooking & baking. Wash your hands before you start, have all the necessary equipment and ingredients out beforehand, clean up after yourselves, wash your hands after handling things like raw meat or poultry, etc.

Anyone have any news on the fires in Utah?
Just shows how outdated they are! Not a comment from one of them!

The only vlog I've seen make mention of the Utah forest fires were April and Davey's while they and a couple of other families were vacationing at Lake Powell. Apparently they were close enough to the fire that there was ash on the deck of their rented houseboat and they showed the smoke at least twice on different days of the Lake Powell vlog.

thank you for being so reasonable and level-headed here <3
honestly i have exactly the same reaction, it is really hard to respond to it neutrally sometimes - especially since it hits so close to home for a lot of us. i definitely feel everyone's anger and frustration towards the situation.
on a side note: you have excellent conflict resolution skills lol :love2:

Just another chapter in the story of Ruby's fetish for not-quite-adequate resources.

Well at least she wouldn't have had to grease the waffle iron, considering the way she keeps her hair. :D

I have to say it is very strange to watch their vlogs and see them all basically acting like Covid-19 just doesn’t exist? I live in NY state and have gotten so used to wearing a mask everywhere that it is actually very jarring to see them all out and about as if nothing is going on.

Right? That's probably why I was so surprised to see Julie and one of her sons (Porter, I think) both wearing masks at Target while shopping for a care package they planned to give Aunt Linda.

However, Julie & all the kids were at a place called Thanksgivng Point earlier in the day and there were no masks in sight. There were some golfers there too and it didn't look as though they were wearing masks either.

Good new everybody, apparently god is real because 8 passengers found their bird. GOD they're so gross. Eve says things about praying in her bad acting voice because she only does it to get mom's approval. And of course everybody's blaming Russell for taking the bird outside... I don't think we heard about the bird getting lost, but these idiots have taken the birds outside on walks, it isn't Russell's fault for taking it outside too.

It annoys me how when Shari had prickles, the cage was padlocked and nobody was allowed to touch him. But with Julie's birds, everyone helps themselves and lets them out whenever they want. Even when Julie isn't home!

Double standards again right?

do you think Ruby ever asksthese people (ie. her neighbor) that she films if they are okay with being on camera and having it posted on the internet? I could be wrong but she doesn’t strike me as one who would ask. Especially with those angles in today’s vlog with her trying to capture her neighbor.
