Katie is.
I’m gonna get shit for this, I know. There’s no reason they both needed to go to the doctor and bring Gaines. And Katie probably is the better parent to take him. But shit. Katie is always the one missing out on the fun.

No, it totally frustrates me too. Also Cullen used to be an Auburn fan if I remember correctly, but converted for Katie.
In this situation yeah I think katie should have gone. But its just one more thing on her plate and one more time its like she is already a parent to three.
I cannot imagine random people on the internet discussing my relationship with my husband and my parenting skills. What a weird life they lead, and they did it to themselves. Sorry for the random post, but I was just thinking about it while reading here today.
Can you imagine having your life out there like that? It’s crazy.

nope, I couldn’t imagine. Always shocking that Katie would be ok when she used to work out in the field. I always cringed whenever I came across her on the directory lol i guess some folks do not value privacy as much as others.. so any thing said good or bad it’s due to their CHOICE to make a living from making the ir life ( however much or little) out there!
The whole thing boggles my mind. Which is why I am here. I don't understand the thought process that leads people to think random strangers are going to be interested in watching them try on jeans at Walmart, go to Costco, and exploit their children.
I also don't understand the virulent adoration they inspire. It's like "they're on the internet! They must be special! And since they must be special somehow, we should be grateful they're sharing their lives with us!" But they aren't, really. It's all so weird to me.

Cullen just filming and laughing wasn't a surprise but Katie encouraging that kind of behavior was a little shocking.
And then Gaines came up and just took the toy out of his hands without either of them saying a word.
Honestly I thought she was like "no you don't" about throwing the toy. It seemed like she was disciplining her brother.

I considered that but still got a different vibe. It didn't even look like he was going to throw the toy, he was studying it.

And yet, as weird as I think it is, here I am, discussing them. So how weird am I?

I think she's slacking because it is exhausting to be the only one disciplining. Cullen always gets to be the fun parent, and she has to be the "mean" or strict parent. I would hate to always be the disciplinarian.

It is hard when you're not on the same page. You need to present a united front, or the kids will run roughshod over you.

I watched the stream....nothing interesting thanks to an annoying thing caller Superchat. I wish this feature didn't exist. They spent all their time thanking people for sending money and not much time answering any questions like they said they would do. They did say Brooks is doing better, which is good.
I really wish they would do more of these....just the two of them talking to us with no interruptions..And no superchat. That totally dominated the conversation.
I'm trying to watch it but 7:45 in and it's been 7:44 seconds of "how's the quality, hi so and so, thanks for the super chat, hi Tina, hi Kirk, thanks for the super chat".
Now it's 9:03 and they're finally getting to the first question but again segwayed into "hey so and so...you're a super fan". So, now 11:30 in and the question that was asked was finally answered. I want to like these chats because if it helps them with their issues, I'm all for it. But now I'm almost 18 minutes in and it's still been two questions and super-fan shout-outs. No way I'm going to spend 40 minutes watching people read a computer screen; not engaging or entertaining at all.
I skipped around the livestream. At one point, Katie basically said, (not in these exact words) Send us money via superchat with your comment and we’ll answer your question. How tacky

Wait, WHAT!? I didn't watch the stream. Someone please explain what this Superchat is, and if the money was actually just going straight to C&K and not a charity or something. It's hard to believe they would take money to answer questions, but if that's the case, I will never watch a live stream.
Basically, in the comments, there’s a money icon in the corner which you press to open and choose how much money to give with a comment. It comes up in a color, depending on the amount you give.
Katie didn’t outrightly say “give us money” but she did say subtly “we’re answering the questions of those who give us money” and outrightly said “this is what superchat is for”

That’s disgusting. And unless they actually answered all the questions from people that gave them money, it’s extra gross.
When Superchat first came out didn't Cullen do a livestream with it and later say he didn't know what it was when people criticized him for taking the money? Was that someone else?
