Re: C&K: The Struggle is Real...ly Hard to Relate (Part 14)
I haven't watched the vlog yet but just by reading here I already know what I'm in for. To be honest I was annoyed with Cullen right from his tweet on Sunday night that said "Shout out to my amazing wife, @KatiePie7, for taking B to the doctor on Gameday to make sure he’s ok. She’s on a whole nother level!" OK... I know it's Alabama football and I don't understand football in the south and all that. But really??? Since when does your kid's well being not come first before a football game?? So obnoxious. This vlog is only going to reinforce my annoyed feeling about them/this tweet.
I was happy when they asked for questions in the Instagram to later do a Q&A but then really disappointed when they did it as a superchat and literally spent the whole time just shouting out those people. So much for an actual Q&A. I don't think C&K are honestly any happier now than they were when they posted the Changes vlog, I just think they're back to hiding it.

I completely agree about them not being any happier and just being back to hiding it. I think they were strained because Katie wasn't happy and told him to "shape up." He didn't listen so she has no choice but to get defensive and go back to covering for him and convince herself that everything is FINE. Their problems have just been swept under the rug... they are still there, and most of them are because of Cullen's immaturity.cynthiadancer wrote:I haven't watched the vlog yet but just by reading here I already know what I'm in for. Even if they were not in Tuscaloosa, Cullen would not have been an asset at the urgent care. I guess an anesthesiologist does not know croup. Because Granddoc was fine with Brooks going out. It appeared that it was their nurse friend who said take him to urgent care.

Thank you. And I do think it's different than merch. Merch, you get something tangible. You get a t-shirt. A shout out is a pretty lame thing, and it's gratifying their egos that someone is willing to give them money for a freaking shout out. The one person they told not to do another SuperChat did anyway, so her husband would get a thanks by name, because they got so caught up in answering the SuperChats. I think Cullen is every bit as skeevy as his friends when it comes to money, like I said earlier.ewokfan11 wrote:Cullen looks like a complete asshole in today's vlog!!! What a dick. He should feel ashamed of himself!!!workfromhomemom wrote:I know, it bothered me too. C'mon Cullen be better than that.anich177 wrote:I don't know why but the title of today's video just really pissed me off. I know it's all about getting people to click but that was just done in poor taste. That was like Daily Bumps type of stuff.
As for Superchat for livestreams, users have to MANUALLY turn it on in the settings!!! Cullen would have had to turn it on and he KNEW it was turned on.
And I know I have lots of bad things to say about a lot of vloggers. But I am honestly not "looking for things to hate on", or however it was put. I love Sam and Jenn. I say lots of nice things about them. I generally like Bonnie. And I know I never really liked Cullen, but I used to like Katie. But either he's rubbing off on her, or the stress is wearing her down, or something-- but she's changed. I don't get why Cullen and Katie get so much of a pass on things that other vloggers get crap for. The sick kids in the thumbnails and using them as little money makers, selling "weight loss" aids, etc.

Re: C&K: The Struggle is Real...ly Hard to Relate (Part 14)
I finally got to watch and honestly I was expecting way worse.
Total side eye about dragging the poor Brooks to the parade. Side eye to Cullen for the little speech praising Katie. Side eye about making it into a emergency for the thumbnail.
No side eye about Katie taking Brooks alone. Maybe that is the mom of medically fragile children talking but I have taken my kids a hundred times to the ER/DR/Surgery alone. It is easier to do it alone and I refuse to leave them. My husband has continued on about our day many times taking the other kids to birthday parties, Thanksgiving, etc while I sat at the hospital. I would never leave my babies when they are sick, why should we all be miserable at the hospital? What would he have been able to contribute to taking Brooks?

Re: C&K: The Struggle is Real...ly Hard to Relate (Part 14)
Katie used to laugh off nitpicky comments. If she's defending Cullen all the time now, I think it's because it's hitting a nerve now.
My husband would never let me take one of our kids to urgent care without him. I'm suddenly thankful for that if that isn't the norm! It would have been no big deal to leave Gaines with her grandparents. It wouldn't have traumatized her if they didn't make it traumatizing ffs.
And if Cullen was just a quick phone call away and willing to be there if Katie needed him, them at the very least he better not have been drinking.

Why would Cullen going with her to urgent care cause chaos, panic, and stress?

Notice she didn't say anything about her decision to take a sick baby to a parade?

What would Cullen have been able to contribute? Probably nothing. A mature husband and father? A reassuring, calming presence for Katie and Brooks. A second set of ears to hear what the doctor has to say about the things they need to do and what to expect once they get Brooks home.nutbagmcgee wrote:I finally got to watch and honestly I was expecting way worse.

Re: C&K: The Struggle is Real...ly Hard to Relate (Part 14)
He wouldn't have been able to contribute any of that. He is a man child. It would have been more of a hindrance to have him there. It's not ok, it's not allright but it is normal for them. Katie doesn't require him to grow up so he doesn't.askeptichere wrote:What would Cullen have been able to contribute? Probably nothing. A mature husband and father? Re: C&K: The Struggle is Real...ly Hard to Relate (Part 14)
His drinking is what annoys me most. I can't imagine getting drunk while my spouse is at urgent care with our kid. He clearly didn't seem too concerned. Using Gaines as an excuse is pathetic. I doubt she would have been concerned if he wasn't there. Gaines spends plenty of time with her grandparents and he didn't seem to be taking care of her anyways. He looked like an asshole in today's video because he is an asshole. The way he edited the vlog made it worse. There was really no need for the footage of Brooks at the doctor. He was miserable don't shove a camera in his face.HelloSweetie wrote:Katie used to laugh off nitpicky comments. Re: C&K: The Struggle is Real...ly Hard to Relate (Part 14)
My main issue is that he didn't seem the least bit concerned and was clearly drunk which makes him look like a huge dick considering the situation. Also the fact that he was drunk he couldn't of driven to the hospital if they sent Brooks there for low oxygen or number of things could've been wrong with him (more than bronchitis and croup). Its just the basic principle of being a good and supportive husband/father. He's an immature child and I give props to Katie because there is no way in hell I could deal with that constantly. He could've also just of easily not vlogged at all and just not have uploaded anything which honestly he should've done because I don't know he could've sat there and edited that footage thinking it was okay. They've taken days off for a lot less.

Have you seen how Cullen tends to act in public? If he was going to do his typical man child antics I don't blame her for not wanting him there.askeptichere wrote:Why would Cullen going with her to urgent care cause chaos, panic, and stress?

HA! Katie didn’t want him to come because she’d bring the chaos, stress, and panic with her. The title could have been “Stuck in an X-ray machine!! What did they find in me?”ferriswheel wrote:Have you seen how Cullen tends to act in public? I was wondering that too, Gaines would have been left with family, she is used to spending a day with them so she probably wouldn't have noticed anything.askeptichere wrote:Why would Cullen going with her to urgent care cause chaos, panic, and stress?

I normally defend them but Cullen was acting strange, acting a little too hyper and chasing down the mascot (going to guess it was the alcohol).
