It creeps me out a lot when Ellie kisses Calvin while vlogging. She always does this little kissy motion while trying to watch on her camera to make sure she's getting it.

I hear you. I feel the same way about those big posed kisses she and Jared do. And I think all the little kids who look up to them as #couplegoals actually believe that those are spontaneous.

The whole sled behind the 4 wheeler makes me so nervous as they drive on actual roads!!! Jackson fell off and was left laying in the middle of a road. I know maybe a child getting ran over could be just wat they need to get more views but I dont want to see that. Why not find an empty field?

Okay, I'm trying to watch the Christmas vlog and I'm already having a hard time getting past that effing ugly wrapping paper. Brown?! Seriously, Ellie?!
Also, I'm not sure how I feel about all the baby doll stuff for Calvin. I don't have a problem with little boys playing with baby dolls, but he doesn't seem that excited. The way they talked to him about it was weird. The whole thing struck me as weird.

Today's vlog is the first one I've watched in days, so I don't know if she made something in it before today's vlog, which was filmed three days ago. Of course, if she did mention it, it's possible she tacked in an extra clip that happened after Christmas into previous vlog. Nope, this delay isn't confusing at all.

I agree. I think it's great to buys dolls for your son if he wants them, but I disagree with imposing interests on a child. They should have the freedom to decide what interests them as they discover the world. With Ellie it's always designing the personality and interests she wants her child to have, rather than recognize who they actually are.

OT but related.. When my sister was in college there was a HUGE group of them that went to an empty field to do just that, pull sleds behind 4 wheelers. The tow rope snapped while they were pulling a guy who's girlfriend lived on her hall. (she knew the guy, just not very well, had been to her dorm room for movie nights a couple times.) He flew head on into the ONE tree in the whole field. Needless to say it was horrific. Had to life flight him out of the field, he died twice in the helicopter on the way to the hospital.. after weeks in the hospital, many many facial and skull reconstructive surgeries and months in a rehab faclity learning every basic life skill again.. he was released, but will now never be able to live alone or take care of himself. He's alive, but has major brain injuries. Every single time i see them doing this with the kids (or anyone for that matter) it terrifies me. So inexplicably dangerous.

THIS. The only thing on Ellie's mind is her baby. She's pushing it on her kids and has to go as far as buying Calvin a doll and all these baby accessories. If he wants a doll, great! But why get that as a Christmas gift for him?

Jared to a completely uninterested Calvin: "So this is going to help you learn how to help the baby, keep the baby safe, feed the baby, change the baby's diaper!!! This is all gonna be so helpful when mommy has our new baby."

The tone of his voice and him staring all sentimentally at the doll made that part all the more weird. These two are just so strange. I'm sure they are quite concerned about how Prince Cal will react with a new baby so it's good they are taking steps to prepare him but making it an elaborate christmas present seems like an odd way to go about it.

On another note, I am seriously wondering when they are going to address the elephant in the room with his speech. I would like to hope they are getting help behind the scenes but with literally zero improvement, it seems unlikely. I hardly heard a single real word come out of his mouth when he was playing with that recorder toy.

At the beginning of the vlog Ellie is talking about Calvin sleeping all night in the floor, saying that he must have liked the temperature.. ELLIE!!! If your child is coming into your room every night bc he is cold you need to DO SOMETHING!!! Buy the kid a larger, warmer blanket (bc we all know he only has his tiny baby blanket. Speaking of, how weirdly attached is Ellie to those, in the gender reveal she ever brings up picking out this baby's blanket.. its weird) or turn up the thermostat! Are they really doing so badly money wise that they can't afford to properly heat that house? The LITERAL ice palace!!
