I don't think it was. Purely because she didn't sound excited at all. She just sounded disappointed with what was in it and then tried to overcompensate by talking too much about the shower gel. It's a shower gel, calm down.
The I love you thing was so weird. I felt so bad for Jared. 'I love you so much' 'okay thaaanks'.
I think Ellie is the type of person that doesn't like surprises unless it's what she was expecting (so, not a surprise), so she just sounds off when Jared does stuff like this.

^^ Really? Wow. I have only heard the ones like "how old is mommy?" or "what's mommy's favourite colour?" but not the "how much do you love me" crap. In any case, I find it very distasteful, especially considering the source.
I also found it very odd/cold/manipulative/mean-spirited that when they were talking about Jackson being excited for Jared to get home she made it like he was more excited to get the video game back than to see him. That made me feel really bad for Jared.
I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who was seriously bothered by the Bump Box exchange. The way Jared repeatedly said "I love you so much" over and over again was almost like he was begging Ellie to say it back. All he got was "K, thanks". How awful and sad. She is like an ungrateful, self-centered, out of touch 13yo.
On that same note, the whole quiz with Jackson was just so messed up. It was such a blatant display of Ellie's narcissism.
I can't even get over the way they were laughing at Calvin and his speech. Poor child doesn't stand of a chance of having a normal psyche in that family. It was like watching a frightened animal.
Also, that haircut on Jennifer could've been done better with a steak knife.

Totally a sponsorship. That’s what immediately came to my mind when I saw it. There wasn’t even anything good in it. Honestly, if it were truly just a gift to help her get through the pregnancy I truly think his typical gift of some bath bombs would be WAY better.

To be honest, I was completely SHOCKED that Jackson did not once say “the baby” as an answer. There were a few questions where I was fully expecting him to say something about the baby or “sleeping because you have a baby in your tummy” (for favorite thing to do) or something.

This won’t be shocking to anybody here — but I just went back to the vlog and found the comment you were referring to, gave it a like, clicked on “view 20 replies” to see what all was being said and *SHOCKER* it says “Error loading. Tap to reply”. She deleted it between the time it took me to like the original comment and click to view the other replies! They are truly something else!
But also just found a similar comment that said something like: JARED: I love you! ELLIE: THANKS!!! with an LOL after it. Looks like Ellie commented on that thread “This made me laugh so hard!” and then Jared commented after that saying “She’s so funny! I promise you, she says it. She was just surprised by the box and was grateful for it”. I seriously want to punch her in the face! Hahaha - I seriously cannot stand her! And Jared always defending her and saying that we just didn’t see everything just pisses me off. We are not dumb.
Random comment, but am I the only person that thinks its weird that the Griffiths family members just hop on or in each other’s beds all the time to hang out or talk or whatever. Sorry, but I don’t want anyone else on or in my bed. Kids (unless they are my own) or adults.
And another random comment. I don’t like Jared, but I think Ellie is way worse. Jared is just her baby maker. I kind of hope one day he leaves her, drops a bunch of “their” a Tesla and leaves her unable to spend thousands on makeup and bath products and continue her online shopping addiction.

Whyyyyy have the past few vlogs been at the 20 minute mark?! They don’t have enough interesting content to fill 10 minutes. There is no need to double the boring!!
Also I agree that the whole “I love you” thing was cringeworthy. I am definitely no Jared fan but even I felt bad for him there. Eek!

I came on here just to see if anyone else was saying anything. I was like OMG she is the Queen of Narcississm. I have always felt that marriage was a sham, now I am leaning more to her side than ever. She found someone to praise and keep her kept so she's good. Who needs love? Just someone to say it I guess. Calvin so has something wrong. Sorry. He is not normal. The speech or lack of is more and more glaringly obvious the older he gets.
He keeps saying "She was surprised by the gift" as if that's a reason not to say "I love you" back to someone. That makes no sense. If someone sends me something and surprises me, it doesn't make me not say "I love you" back to them. It actually makes me want to say it more! And I think that's how most "normal" people respond.
Someone earlier said they thought Jared wanted folks to see the real Ellie more because he didn't edit it in the video. I checked the comments last night and although the posts really tearing into her were removed, quite a few posts were still there. First time since I have been watching them every day that I have seen posts that didn't paint them as the perfect couple and perfect parents allowed to stay. Kind of backs up the theory of the person saying he wanted people to really see how she acts!
Should have done this before posting. Went there this morning just check things out. That vlog has 131 dislikes-definitely more than any video since I started watching them all the time!! That gift part is just not flying with a lot of people. Now you watch, it will come up in a future video giving their explanation!
Jared is trying to convince himself more than anyone else that she genuinely loves him for the right reasons and he's doing everything he can to make her pregnancy happiness last after the baby is here. He's terrified of postpartum Ellie.
Meanwhile I recognize E+J vlogs in my subscriber feed by looking for Ellies face. I'm sad for the kids, Ellie is obnoxious. In the last 10 thumbnails she's in it alone 5 times, 1 time with Jared, 3 times the kids and 1 time Jared alone.
I can't stand this pregnancy talk anymore, it's not like its her first child lmao.
Cant believe I'm saying this: but I'd rather watch JesssFam.
