Jamerrill Stewart (Homeschool mom of 7 [soon to be 8])

Unread post by nutbagmcgee »

I cannot believe she spent $886 at Walmart on clothes for her kids.

The entire time I watched her haul, I just sat there and thought $30 for jeans at Walmart? $20 for shoes? $20 for sweatshirts?

My kids only wear name brands and I haven’t spent that much on them in forever! I shop sales/clearance. My son has on Stride Rites that I paid $17 for, my daughter Bearpaw boots I paid $14 for. They each went to school in a north face jacket that I paid $20 a piece for.

The bargain hunter in me about died. I have 4 kids and I was look through the clothing section in Walmart looking for a deal every time I go, the athletic pants for boys are more than the Under Armour ones I just bought for my son! She could do better at Kohl’s and I think Kohl’s is expensive.

And this is going to sound very bitchy and elitist, I can’t believe her older boys are willing to wear Walmart clothing and shoes. My 16-year-old would absolutely die if I took her in to Walmart and said this is what you’re going to wear pick your clothes. Of course she doesn’t mind wearing plain colored T-shirts, tank tops and bathing suits from Walmart but not everything!

I just found her a few months ago. I like her enough. She’s genuine which I love lol. The whole large family thing appeals to me, it’s so interesting to see how it all functions.
Her meals are absolutely atrocious. All processed and unhealthy, but i guess that’s what you get when you have that many mouths to feed and not a whole lot of money.

Have any of you watched Amy Maryon? She has an awful lot of kids like Jamerrill and does volume cooking. Her meals actually look tasty and not all dump and stir casseroles.

Jamerill's family sure eats a lot of dairy products. Someone asked her about it and asked if she had considered eating less dairy and meat, and she said that they aren't considering changing. I know it is important for kids, but she really buys what I consider to be far too much of it. On top of all the flavoured yoghurt, processed cheese and milk, she also dumps tons of cream into most of her recipes.

She explained in her recent van chat video that they’re considering moving again because the neighbours have been less then welcoming of her husbands large machinery and vehicle collection.

Can someone please explain me why she wastes so much time to prepare meals which land in the freezer. Does she really use every frozen meal?

if she has to write a quote from the bibel on her hand to remeber herself to be motivated, I would not be surprised if there are some forgotten meals since the years.

Im sure she uses them. She has 2 trays of food for each mea. But whether or not they are actually eaten entirely, I would say no.

I felt bad about the whole neighbor situation. They sound like truly awful people going to all that trouble when they are literally so spread out. Sounds like a bunch of old people with nothing better to do with their time than harass people. I probably wouldn’t have been as nice as jamerill and put off my own plans because of the neighbors. I’d build a huge add on that they were planning and then paint it hot pink. Literally none of the neighbors should even be able to see the house or machinery based on where it’s located. I would like to see them go off and build new though, that could be interesting.

Im not sure how bad I feel for her. I don't know the details of the property, they have quite a bit of space but is the liveable area in view of the neighbours? From what we've seen this family is hardly organized and neat so I can see how his vehicle junk yard could be an eyesore.

ETA: Especially since she admitted that they stayed away from areas with an HOA because she knew they wouldn't be able to maintain those standards.

Most of that isn't liveable/useable though, the area that the house sits on and the space he could use for his hobby is fairly small from what she's said/weve seen. And if its viewable to the road then it could be less then pleasant to look at.

We have a lot of farm area set up the same, tons of acres but the home area is usually viewable from the road.

I just have a hard time thinking that an entire neighbourhood is out to get the new comer for no reason.

The neighbors house is pretty close to their garage I think
