Lol. I’m surprised that people are more upset about how Ellie treats Jared, than they are that the kids are basically just being left to their own devices in the process. Jackson was outside alone in the dark... with the Segway. I mean, it’s not like Jared was busy with Cal because that kid was just helping himself to cookies and tv without Jared knowing!

But Ellie flipping the bird at Jared like that definitely explained the weird vibe the vlog had. I’m so many ways Jared is desperate. Desperate to make more money, desperate to hold everything together, desperate to make Ellie happy... he’s trying to be positive, and it just isn’t helping.

I’m glad you brought up the part with Jackson and the Segway. This was definitely the most worrisome part of the yesterday’s vlog, and it is shocking how Jared was not only okay with it, but celebrating it. Also, where were the neighbors in all of this? They just let this 4 year old walk out of their house by himself in the dark? All of the adults in this scenario are to blame, in my opinion.

The comments are really nuts! People are totally ok with Jackson sneaking out! They're all "oh, he's so grown up!" No, he's not. He's 4. Going out on a Segway, and being out after dark by himself, isn't ok. Ellie needs to get her head out of her butt and parent the children she has. Someone had the temerity to ask why the kids don't wear helmets, and they got swarmed: " Stop trying to parent other people's children!" One person was saying that they need to make it clear to Jackson that he shouldn't leave without telling someone, and the way they worded the comment was so obsequious! It's like you can't say _anything_ that isn't kissing their asses, or you will get attacked! Anything questioning them has to start out with "I love you guys, and I don't mean any hate by this, but ..." Even on the cancer screening vlog, everyone is sucking up.
And all the "I can't wait for the cookbook!" comments-- ugh. No wonder they think it's going to be a New York Times best seller.

E&J’s new address has been public for awhile now. It’s not like they have a false sense of privacy. They should know to be more careful than that. Someone could grab him and run across the field area at the end of the street to a car parked on the perpendicular road and be gone without even being seen! Actually, he would probably go willingly based on what we’ve seen.

The more they turn Jackson into their performing monkey, they more I find myself preferring Calvin. They really are ruining that sweet boy. He’s going to be just as obnoxious as his parents at this rate.

I am in shock and appalled that they let a 4 year old go by himself down the street and they don’t even know that he took a Segway. I don’t allow my 4 year old outside in the front yard alone let alone riding a freaking Segway! Do they not watch him at all? He just leaves the house whenever he pleases and that’s fine with them?

The comments section must be heavily filtered. Every comment I saw thought it was great. Jared says he still manually uploads because of the algorithm, but I think it’s so he can be there to police the comments when they first come in.

Right?! My 6.5 year old loves taking rubbish out to the outside bins and I stand in the doorway and watch him, same for my 4 year old who loves getting the mail out of the mail box. And I live on a quiet street in a nice neighbourhood, but you just never know. Jaycee Duggard lived on a quiet street in a nice neighbourhood. The fact that Jackson just left like it was nothing is terrifying.

I've got to join the bandwagon and say I was just appalled by Jackson's little excursion. How are they okay with that? Let alone proud of it? It just boggles my mind. They are almost asking for something to happen to him. They're entering dangerous territory by making this stuff public. Not just advertising to evil people, but to people who might want to call Child Protective Services. A conversation with them might not be a bad thing, actually. Because if they show this stuff, who knows what they don't.

I know I bought couple of sleepers and onsies when I was a first time mom so this seems silly to me. This is just to keep Ellie happy because they barely buy anything for their kids. They have been wearing the same PJ's since Christmas.

So I watched Matt and Em's livestream and they said his sister Jen is having a girl so now everyone got what Ellie wanted except for Ellie lol..No wonder she's behaving like a b*tch more than ever. I think if she wasn't in the church she is, she would probably really be this boy magnet college girl. The whole buying new baby clothes excursion was just stupid. I'm sure they have newborn clothes at home, it's not like they weren't anticipating another baby, why buy new stuff? And don't even get me started on the "let's get baby brother a gift!" thing. She's barely in her second trimester. In the elevator she didn't look pregnant at all.
Did you guys notice in one of Ellie's first shots in the clothing store she is clearly in the baby girl section? LOL

And what was the most stupid about the whole nail thing wasn't even Jared's coddling, it was that Ellie said she was going to have a nail PHOTO SHOOT. Oh puh-lease.

Exactly. I think they delete a majority of the real comments in the beginning and they have some pretty extreme word filters set up (Don't say "bad"...your comment will never be seen!). If you go back in a couple days, you tend to see a few more "hater" comments. Most people's negative comments probably don't even make it through the filters. I also think a majority of the people who would leave critical comments don't bother to watch anymore. I used to be a dedicated daily watcher and now I just watch a handful of vlogs a week and usually fast forward through a majority of them. They've narrowed their actual viewer audience down to just minions because no one else cares to give them a view.

I agree. They shouldn’t need to buy much if anything. Calvin was born at the end of May and this baby is due at the end of June, I believe. Calvin’s clothes at least should be able to be passed down with no problem. Right sizes for the right seasons for the most part. And then her talking about needing an expensive bassinet this time? She did just fine without one last time so why does she suddenly need some expensive brand name product? (To show off, that’s why. And by talking about it on the vlog she will probably be sent one for free which ticks me off. There are tons of people out there who could actually use the generosity of a company sending them something for free because they otherwise couldn’t afford it. And I’m sure that person would be a hell of a lot more appreciative and probably give better publicity and stuff for the company to their friends, family, co-workers and even social media followers. Then the talk about going with Jared to some event to look at the new high-tech baby products so she can get something for herself. Wtf? You literally stay in your room with the baby for 6 months. You don’t need fancy crap just to say you have it.
