Seeing as how YouTube isn't a stable job, I feel like the Youtubers that have a job as well as make videos are making a good decision. Too bad B&M don't even know how to spell the word job, and Ollie will be living with them until his last day on Earth. Finn is our only hope you guys.

In all seriousness they should really consider it. There won't be too many more years of adventures and positivness. Notice how many extremly famous Youtubers have left because of scandals and other stuff? I'm sure they're up soon. They have the (veeeery small) fame, for Youtube of course, they have the money, and in my head, a storm is constantly brewing in that family. I see oppurtunities everywhere. They're just lucky that their fanbase is 98% 12 year olds

Well, that was longer than it needed to be. I'm not deleting it though. Long story short, get a job B&M. This won't be lasting too much longer.

I just meant these kids have a day job. Just because your parents use that money support you doesn't make it any less wrong. Imagine being well known but with a broken family and destitute because everyone thought it was so cute to watch daily vlogs (the truman show) rather than make sure the kid is secure on the business side. Missy and Bryan have formed companies. THOSE KIDS SHOULD BE ON THE PAYROLL. In accounts these to imbeciles can't touch. Missy and Bryan chose to have kids so regardless who have to take care of their basic needs. Instead their day job became producing a daily Internet show with the MAIN STARS being the kids. Its super messed up when your parents manage you but to get into these sort of situations where the parents are technically the producer and the studio. This is a horror story in the making. Talent is talent...and talent that is naive with a target on its back needs to have a future where he can at least get housing and feed himself at 18. Mom and Dad can cut back on studio props for a couple months.

I didn't write that well....

I just meant these kids have a day job. Just because your parents use that money to support you doesn't make it any less wrong. Missy and Bryan chose to have kids so regardless of how much they make they have to take care of their kid's basic needs. Instead of their usual work, B&M's day job became producing a daily Internet show with the MAIN STARS being the kids. That money should come out of M&B's paycheck and only their paycheck as it normally would. Otherwise they are taking advantage of those kids.

Imagine being well known in society but with a broken family (but you have to pretend isn't broken) and being destitute (but pretending you are not so you can get a cast for a job) and miserable because everyone thought it was so cute to watch daily vlogs (the truman show) rather than care about their well-being and making sure the kid is secure on the business side. Missy and Bryan have formed companies. Therefore, THOSE KIDS SHOULD BE ON THE PAYROLL and in accounts these two imbeciles can't touch. Its super messed up when your parents manage you but to also get into these sort of situations where the parents are technically the producer and the studio. This is a horror story in the making. Talent is talent...and talent that is naive with a target on its back needs to have a future where he can at least get housing and feed himself at 18. Mom and Dad can cut back on studio props for a couple months.

I said my peace as best as I could for the moment.

I mean, yeah of course a child is better off with involved parents that have a vocabulary of at least high school level but I don’t think they have it too bad.
And I 100% think missy would still be attached to her phone even poor and living with her parents.

They have money but that’s really it. Their educations will never be a priority or encouraged. Both of those kids are still so young and have awful diets that will only become worse, and their own health issues are ignored on several occasions. They aren’t even being set up to make decisions later on when every question asked to them leads to a dead end answer (yes, no, good). I don’t think they have a clue as to anything being wrong because they never seem to reprimand Ollie for pretending to shoot his own parents.
They might have money but that can only go so far imo. It’s great they have an expensive, elaborate home, tons of toys and more vacations than necessary. It’s great both parents are home all and Missy’s extended family is practically living there. But that can’t fix everything else that their own parents seem to ignore.

Thank you. You said it better than I did. Money is not a cure-all, especially when things like education, discipline, and nutrition are not valued. There's so much lacking in the boys' lives it's sad.

But we know they're nitwits. They spend like there's no tomorrow. They're constantly remodeling-- Bryan even said that "a house is never finished. It's always a work in progress". The cars, the late night Amazon Prime crap, however many phones Missy goes through, the albums with music videos for every song, expensive vacations, the stupid pool remodel, Missy's dune buggy, now the horse-- I don't know how they can be saving anything near what they should be.

I totally agree with everything you said, they truly seem like lazy parents and don’t get me started on the food they feed them, because I feel like it’s borderline child abuse.
My point was arguing that they do benefit from the money. It was said that they don’t get a paycheck, etc. well, they kind of do because the money does get spent on them so in a way, they do get a paycheck. That’s all I was commenting on. No, I don’t think money is worth being raised the way they are but missy and Bryan wouldn’t discipline, feed them better, encourage education, etc even if they were poor.

Im not as concerned for the future of Daily Bumps as I am with the young subscribers who are probably complete brats to their parents acting as though B&M are "#parentinggoals" and such. It's a complete conspiracy but would make perfect sense if this were true (I mentioned this maybe a year ago here) if they have a contract with a major credit card company and reeling in young kids to see a lavish life, without financial explanation why they are able to purchase huge and expensive things (how naive these kids are about Youtube's monetization)... Im concerned with this family channel teaching kids money essentials grows on trees. These subscribers are going to go into major debt at some point. Its a conspiracy theory, but I do think what kind of example B&M are showing to their young audience. Its really really bad.

I don't know about the credit card thing, but they are definitely working with loads of toy companies and Disney and all sort of other brands for sponsorships and product placement and they get free gift cards and passes and hotel stays to show off places - like Great Wolf Lodge last week.

It is really terrible how kids are addicted to watching these families who basically show off and live ridiculously fake lives. It's absolutely unrealistic. YouTube - especially the family channels - are just long advertisements now.

^in reference to the above^^^
My daughter is 7 1/2. She likes to watch EvanTubeHD, and for the most part I have no issues with that family channel. The kids seem normal, the parents seem normal and interact with the kids a ton. But YES to the above. That channel is one long commercial for games, toys, snacks, vacations, etc. They do it well and it's not in your face. They're probably the best of the family vloggers for that sort of thing....but it's a commercial and my daughter reacts as such. "Mom, Evan went on a Disney Cruise!! Mom, Evan got the Nintendo Switch!!! MOM, Evan's family got a BIG NEW HOUSE!! Will we move someday?"

It's innocent coming from her. She's not demanding anything...but it hurts as parents who work VERY hard to provide a good life for their children while being responsible with money to see our kids exposed to the lavish, ad revenued lifestyles of these YouTube families they love to watch.

Easy solution: Make them stop watching the YouTubers. Yes, in theory. I would if the content were questionable or inappropriate...but she wouldn't understand why I'm making her stop watching a channel she enjoys watching once or twice a week. I can't explain right now WHY their family gets to do all of those things that 99% of all other families can't realistically do. *sigh*....stupid internet

PS: As I was typing that last paragraph of my last post...it hit me.
Maybe she won't understand right now if I tell her we're not watching YouTube families anymore...but will it be a benefit for her not to watch them. YES.
It's these moments as a parent that hit me hard. It's up to me and my husband to make the tough choices that our children may not understand or like, but WE know it's for their best interest.
Okay, lol...sorry, introspective moment early in the morning.

Whoa. Joking about the Virginia Tech shooting? He made a plane crash about himself too. It was right before he went to Cambodia, and he made some tweet about how if _his_ plane could just not crash, that would be great. Insensitive much?

I feel really bad for parents of little kids who watch these people and Family Fun Pack, and Funnel Vision, and the like, and think they're #parentinggoals. So many parents are good people, working hard to provide a good life for their kids, and they watch these vlogs and want to know why they don't have a big house with a pool, endless vacations, doughnuts all the time, no chores or vegetables, and huge extravagant birthday parties. After Ollie's third birthday, there were SO many comments from kids saying they wished their parents would throw them parties like that. And someone here said that the little boy she nannies asked why his Elf on the Shelf didn't do big things for him like Ollie's does-- does it not love him as much? How sad is that? And the number of kids who say they want to be YouTubers keeps growing! Because it looks so easy and like the money just comes.
Sorry for the novella.

I swear the amount of holidays/vacations Vloggers go on is too much...What do they need a holiday/vacation/break from when they pretty much stay at home. If they had a job (eg office work doctor etc) then that’s different but with their lives there’s no need. Eg my family had to go abroad 3 times in 9 months...makes me feel like a Vlogger What with the amount of holidays they go on..

I stopped watching DM for awhile many times for joking or making a comment about themselves when something bad has happened. I officially unsubscribed when Bryan did an alligator attacking vlog right after the little boy in Florida died.
E&J I unsubscribed to them when Jared was joking that his plan was going down after a huge plan went down. I still watch once in awhile but really stopped with the whole Mother’s Day thing.
