So, are they ever going to catch up with the vlogs, or are we going to be getting clip shows from now on that don’t even pretend to be happening in typical vlog timing?

There is also noticeably less social media activity from Bryan. And the stuff he does post seems.... I don’t know how to describe it. “Professional”, or calculated, I guess. Retweeting a lot of “YouTube is great, if it’s your passion, you’ll succeed”, and a bunch of “don’t be judgey, you never know what other people are going threw” type tweets. Missy still posts her typical instastories, but not much else.

Their brand is changing too much. They’re becoming inaccessible, which is the main draw of vloggers.

It really feels like daily vlogging is on the way out.

The people that have a back door into google/youtube are shaking hands with another company...called Disney...Disney of course has its hands in music and film. They are doing a role reversal. Maker studios screwed youtubers over when they sold out. Not only that but the studios have hammered youtube on copyright laws for some time now...when you see people like Jake Paul set up Delaware companies...that means he is signed with someone big and he is being backed....I wonder who that could be??? Thats just a smaaaaaaall part of the equation. The wild west days of Youtube are coming to an end. Unless youtubers get smart. None of them understand how it works and nobody will want to loose their pay. The new idiots will get shafted in the pay department because they don't know any better.

You know You Tube... Why do you think all these vloggers are suddenly doing delayed vlogs? Is it simply because they can? Or is it somehow better for business?

It feels like something is changing behind the scenes at YT. Any insights into what that may be?

Just my 10 cents, they are killing their careers. Granted they'll always make money off what's uploaded, I'd say this is the end of what was the DB. With how upbrupt they stopped uploading & how off/old their material it's clear they don't give a shit

My guess is opening a studio to help more wannabe youtube singers make albums. He gets a studio space, a band, a songwriter, and a producer (and possibly fills in these jobs himself) and helps people become youtube music stars. Sort of like the company that made Rebecca Black famous with Friday. Find some random youtubers with a smidgen of talent and a bunch of money and help make them "famous". He may even guest star on their songs??? LOL just a thought...

I absolutely agree, they're messing up. If they keep up this sporadic pace with old footage, people are going to lose interest and watch someone else. Then they'll have to have a baby to get back the attention, which will probably only be half of what it was.

I wonder if they'll continue posting if their subscribers and views dwindle for forever, or if they'll find something else to do? idk, what else COULD they do that would provide some sort of income without them having to get peasant jobs? Bryan could be a florist. Missy could sell eggs that have been sitting in a chicken coop for two weeks. Nah, those are far too peasant-like.

Agreed 100%... they said they had videos ready for all 10 days of their break yet they missed 2-3 days and now they’re not uploading again, Idk what they’re thinking but it’s not going to go well. Their jobs are youtube, no other thing they try at will succeed the way youtube did. It’s kind of like if they were doctors and then suddenly decided to stop seeing patients... your money will start to fade. You can’t make money (well good money) if you aren’t working. They’ve lost it

I thought they said their break was 7 days....and that is exactly where they messed up. They made it so confusing and shady. No one had any idea when the break started/ended, how long it would be, and if/what they would be posting during that time. Which, as lame as it seems, is a big deal to a lot of their fans.

Can anyone imagine telling their boss, “Ok, so I’m taking some vacation days...maybe 7, maybe 10...starting either Friday or Monday...see you in a weekish...and hey, I’ll even work remotely a little each day so you won’t even know I’m gone!” and then coming back all proud for getting things done that were due two weeks prior anyway? Pretty much what they did.

They need to follow a schedule or they will lose their fans. These are the people that complain on Twitter when they don’t upload on time. It’s not the haters tweeting them that. It’s their fans. Make it M-F or M, W, F. Something. Their fans need something consistent to look forward to.

I dont understand why they didn't take these minions on the trip.. Like building the house.. Upgrading the pool... Now the studio talk... Grown up things put into kid terms

Give kids a clearer picture of the real world
And for ytmd purpose tell them when something can be a write off
