Most likely not, unless it’s years from now and Jennifer and Chad have passed and other family members of hers have the balls to move. Personally I can’t see it happening though.

I hope not for the sake of the Italian people.
My apologies for any grammar or spelling mistakes. English is not my first language :love2:

She does realize that they mainly drink wine and or alcohol in Italy. She’ll be bringing her own Fanta to a lot of house parties.

I completely agree about Russell.... I just watched and that part where he talks about the wishes was so weird! How can Ruby not see it?!?
I went back and rewatched Russell. Did anyone notice the hand gestures he was making when he got excited. Rubbing and flexing his hands back and forth repeatedly.

Russell often isn't even in a carseat, and Eve being in a flimsy booster seat with a seatbelt she can shove over and under her arm in various and dangerous ways is definitely not okay. And it's also not okay to justify putting your kid in a crappy car seat because you're trying to figure out what to do about it. MAYBE if they were brand new to the area/country, didn't know the car seat laws and didn't have sufficient funds, I could see them taking a bit of time to try to figure it all out, but even that's a stretch.
In my day there was discipline and consequences when not behaving and listening to my parents. Maybe if they tried that with Eve she would not keep getting out of a car seat versus her parents just giving up and not putting her in one.

So he couldn’t face breakfast and didn’t go out with the group he stayed behind to work, it looked as though he didn’t want to be filmed either!
I have always wondered how his wife's/family vlogging might be viewed negatively with regards to his career of a professional professor/researcher and ability to get tenure. When you become public "celebrity" you also become a target and are scrutinized much more under a microscope. Universities are judging/reviewing him in terms of their brand and reputation.

Also wondering is he taking time off from teaching/research or is BYU on break again so soon after the holiday?

If he is not tenured then I bet Ruby's vlogging and sponsorship income is bringing in much more than his salery.

I also think that these foreign Asian trips that these YouTube bloggers are traveling in a group are sponsored/paid for by the respective country tourism bureaus. Bonnie goes to Asia with a group of other YouTube vloggers just a couple of months ago and now Ruby does the same to Thailand. I can't imagine any of the Griffiths making these locations a first choice for their travel destinations, in addition to making them as a group with other vloggers who they only hang with from a business perspective to promote each other's channels.

what vlog was this from? I haven't watched them in weeks, but yes I have always thought something was off about Russell, mostly how he is emotionally stunted.

Bonnie and Ellie went to China because supposedly they were looking for places to publish their family cookbook. If China wanted to increase tourism, there are MUCH better YouTubers to pick, with more subscribers. EvanTube's family went to Disneyland in China as a sponsored trip. And Roman Atwood went to China last year, I think. Not saying that the trip to Thailand wasn't sponsored, just don't think the one to China was.

I felt like this vlog was pretty judgy and snobby. She tried to make it sound like she was experiencing culture shock or whatever, but I think she has to be careful when she's vlogging to a young audience like hers. She didn't get the concept of karma right (at least I don't think she did) and she kept referring to how more refined Italy was. I don't know, it just didn't feel nice. Also, I didn't like the way she was recording that grandmother with the baby without her even knowing about it. Felt kind of "poverty tourismy", if I'm making any sense...

I totally agree! I hated when she was talking about how people compare Thailand to Venice and was like “I’ve been to Venice... this is nothing like Venice”. Like good for you, those are the two places you’ve been in the entire world. She acts like she’s educating her audience about the world in such a profound way in many instances. Maybe I was interpreting it wrong, but she made it seem like Venice was much better. In my opinion, I’d rather go to Thailand and experience the vastly different culture, than go to crowded touristy Venice.

I wonder if they're that dumb that they don't understand the meaning of karma. It's easy to look look up on google. It's just like any other religion, treat others the way you would like to be treated. I feel like she misunderstood the meaning intentionally and was trying to justify it by telling herself and the viewers in a nice way that the "white-european" way is the right way to live and that her religion is the true one and that she's lucky to be a mormon. She should've know that europeans and americans are very influenced by other cultures, like yoga and meditation that are a part of the western culture today.
I won't judge all mormons after her perspective because I've realised that there are good educated mormons on youtube who respect other people's lifestyles and religion. Ruby is just an uneducated and stuck mormon, who believes that her mother already taught her all she needs to know about life.

But I don't understand why she and Kevin insist on traveling around the world when they aren't learning anything from it, they just keep on misinterpreting things to justify mormonism.

^^^ This.. I think they feel very superior, when Ruby especially is uneducated and doesn't seem very bright. None of the Griffiths seem to be geniuses. I don't know if it's willful ignorance or actually being kinda dumb. Obviously, Kevin is educated, but Ruby, Ellie and Bonnie aren't at all. And I think they look at places like Thailand to justify their superiority complex. I don't think they would be happy living in Italy either. Especially with how conservative they are. They were out "supporting" the owner of Chick Fil A, so I don't think they would like Europe..

TBH, Outside of Utah, BYU papers and articles are looked at with discernment (nice way of saying that they are taken with many grains of salt) by scholars. If one knows anything of the school's policies, one proceeds with caution when reading any of those papers, and ultimately, personally, I avoid those sources like the plague. Who knows what her income is, and perhaps her youtube salary has passed the salary of his tenured pay.... Ultimately, the income from youtube, in my opinion, is a good thing, given how many children they decided to have.

honestly though. when i was a kid, i used to hate seatbelts. i would get in the car and my mom would say "seatbelts on" and i would most the time pretend to put it on or undo it once we were driving without her noticing. and for the rest of the car journey most times she never even noticed it. sometimes she did though and then yelled at me to put it on. its not always the parents fault. she doesnt have eyes in the back of her head. and ruby's charecter is a notice everything kind of person. we don't know whats shes like "her rules" off the camera, we only see when its on and there already into the action. it could be that shes just not aware of the situation back there. or it could be. but we wont know that. and she seems like a slow driver in general. and the speed limit looks small where they live.

Well after witnessing Shari’s crime against humanity (what she did to those spaghetti) I can speak for all other Italians and declare that their family is no longer allowed on our pretty peninsula.
