It's so weird to me that Americans are so obsessed with college degrees. Where I live, you need one to become a doctor/lawyer/accountant etc but it is certainly not required for a normal job. Most people have no use for a degree.

Hey guys! I'm new on the site. I'm not anti Jess but there are some things that she does that are ridiculous and annoy me so much. But I made this account because I commented on the video where Drake showed up and got the most ridiculous reply. Someone commented on how Chris is the best father ever and I replied by saying this....I know Chris loves his boys, but I still really feel bad for Tommy and Caden. They go weeks without seeing him and he isn't there in their day to day life. Every time they visit it's 12 hours in the car. I'm sure they will feel jealous of Addie and the other kids when they get older. Then a minion said this..."Don't forget that Chris literally drives TWELVE hours to and from to see his boys. Calm down and stop being ignorant and jealous. " What would I be jealous of?? Soo annoying.

It's funny because Jess seems to resent her father for abandoning her and Ben to start a new family. Yet, she doesn't seem to care that her husband is doing exactly the same thing to his boys. Most of her minions are too young to understand that a 12 hour drive to visit your own children isn't brag worthy. It's pathetic. No loving father moves that far away from his kids for a woman. Chris has no involvement in Tommy and Caden's day to day life, but he's the BEST DAD EVER because he drives 12 hours and takes them paintballing occasionally.

He's not the best dad but I do applaud him cause my kids dad can't even drive 1.5-2 hours to see them. After Christmas and around their birthday is usually the only time he does.

Even if he didn't move initially for Jess and moved with his parents (who live close to Jess), I would've done everything I could to move back closer to where my sons live. And these minions think that the driving between Chris and Ashley should be 50-50. Um no it should not be! Ashley drives the boys and fully takes care of them like 80 percent of the time. She shouldn't have to spend 12 hours on her weekends off (assuming she works full-time during the week) picking up the boys when it was Chris who moved away. Yes, Chris sees his sons a whole lot more than Drake (I can't stand Drake and he needs to step up or step down) but Drake should not be the baseline of how dads should be.

Lets just hold out hope Jess doesn’t come across that one girl on YT that got pregnant at 12, or she’ll be throwing Lilia down that route at the earliest convenience

Lol love how jess was quick to say that teen pregnancy is preventable when talking to lilia. But it happened to her twice when she was "on birth control". And remember how shed say if you just look at her she gets pregnant. Hmmm thats quite the contradictio !

I don't know why Tommy and Caden can't fly to see their dad? I used to hop on a plane from about age 7 to visit my grandma (5.5 hour drive away). These days you can get these nifty digital wrist band thingies for kids flying so they are monitored bla bla bla. Back in my day the air hostesses would treat me like royalty and make sure I was met safely at the other end.

I agree but in my opinion she does have a job, even if that job is youtube. She also does the majority of childcare. I just feel like chris doesnt do much. He does a few chores and takes landon to school. If he worked and jess did the stay at home mom youtube thing, and went back to school that would be awesome. Idk why they both rely on youtube...its not going to last forever and they have 7 kids to support. Kt blows my mind lol

Thank goodness. It's always so sad watching Kyson get taken out of activities he enjoys, just because Kaiden hates them. Or getting only monster truck toys for holidays because kaiden likes monster trucks. Those kids are as different as can be. Just because they shared a womb doesn't mean they share a brain.

I can't find the comment now, but someone was asking about why people say Jess has no education. She did graduate college for some kind of degree, which is fine and it's, as some clarified, more than other ytmoms do/did.

The problem with higher education is, it keeps rising all the time. We dicsussed this in one of my courses at the university. Way, way back, when people of the working classes (not sure how you call it in the US) were denied higher education, there was a movement to make it possible for gifted students to attend high school (when this was the highest form of school education), so when college was introduced as an even higher, better form of education, parents who could afford it, sent their children to a college after high school. When college was made possible for the broad masses, the highest form of education became a university degree (master, phd).

This process keeps going on all the time. Where I live, in many cases, a degree at the university is the bare neccessity to start at certain jobs, though in a lot of jobs you need to pay extra money for an after-graduate degree, otherwise you won't earn a lot.

Jess is currently used to a 7000+/month lifestyle, with no educational background to support that, no matter what degree she currently has. She has established, that she couldn't be a preschool teacher, so that job is not going to be her future, in case she doesn't graduate as an elementary school teacher. She's not making any real progress with her current studies (before Chris, she at least attended here and there) and takes forever to finish it, while Chris is unemployed, so he can't be a safteynet either, in case youtube income is lessening. God forbid there should ever be a clause that states something about child exploitation and youtube, those family vloggers that show their children in all sorts of situations are f*cked. I think that's what people mean, when they say she has no education.

Then they come back from the movie and everyone is hanging out, Jess says they're going to bed soon, the baby is already knocked out - at this point I'm thinking it's at least 9 o'clock. But then we get a glimpse of her mom's phone, and it says 5:36. How is that even possible?

It's still getting dark early. I'm in the same time zone, but up in Canada. It's still getting dark around 330ish pm.

From what I could tell, that doctor did seem quite dismissive and I would have gotten a second opinion. Buuuut I do thinks it’s weird AF that this bitch doesn’t have a regular pediatrician for her kids. That’s so weird.

I actually don't think it's weird at all. This is a walk in clinic right? I'll bet that doctor sees a super high volume of patients with legit medical complaints every day. Jess took her baby in and talked about a small rash. That's not what walk in clinics are for. If someone showed up late to an overburdened clinic and told me that I'd be dismissive and move her along because Jess is the one neglecting to find a paediatrician.

Good point. She brought up issues a primary care doctor should be addressing. I don’t understand why a parent wouldn’t have a primary for their child. Seems very necessary.
