Yes i agree, but there is not one so close to the back yard that one of the kids could get too it in the few seconds it takes to grab a camera. I would feel differently if they backed a water hazard. And like i said, i KNOW things happen in the blink of an eye, but if the situation was like i *think* (still not sure if he was out there, just talking about how i saw it happen) it was i don't see the big deal. Both kids were already on the porch when he turned to go back out.HelloSweetie wrote:They don’t have a pool but they live on a golf course that has ponds.Playsinrain wrote:The kids were following him on to the porch, so he might have told them to follow him. I have no idea if that is what happened or if he even was out there with them at all. I will say that i feel like the kids are safe outside alone for a split second for him to walk in the house for the camera. they don't have a pool, and the house is set back far from the road. Is it ideal? No. But i don't feel like their backyard is unsafe for them to be out in alone for the 30 seconds it would have taken him to grab the camera. Things happen in an instant, i completely understand that, but IF Cullen was walking from the driveway to the living room and right back out, and the kids followed him to the porch... i dont see any harm in it. BUT we have no idea what really happened. That's just how it looked to me.MommaLindsey2 wrote:
I don’t care how long they were out there alone. Brooks is a toddler, he could walk off and get lost, kidnapped, or hit by a car in an instant. I would feel differently if they had a fenced back yard but they don’t. I know 2 kids his age that drowned and were hit by a car, only one of them made it (barely) and has some lasting scars from the ordeal. I go back inside for anything I pick my two year old and bring him with me, I don’t care if he cries or complains about it.

Re: C&K: Tankful of Marital Issues. Part #18
He could have gotten distracted and taken longer than planned. It’s a bad habit. They live in a public area where it would be easy for a predator to watch the kids and grab one in an instant. Brooks also could wander away and Cullen may not know which direction to look. It’s just careless.Playsinrain wrote:Yes i agree, but there is not one so close to the back yard that one of the kids could get too it in the few seconds it takes to grab a camera. I don’t believe for an instant that a parent who feels it’s ok to leave their sleeping child in a vehicle is just running inside quickly. I think we have more reasons to believe the kids are often left alone for a few minutes than we do to believe they are carefully guarded.

Re: C&K: Tankful of Marital Issues. Part #18
I try and base my opinions on what i see more than what we assume happened. What i saw was Cullen running in, grabbing the camera and meeting the kids half way to the door. Yes, cullen gets distracted, yes they left Gaines in the car sleeping, yes it's not ok to leave small kids outside unsupervised. But from what we saw of the vlog i don't see an issue. And honestly that was the least concerning thing that happened in the vlog yesterday. I really think this is an issue of personal parenting styles. Some parents could be considered helicopter parents (and no i'm not calling anyone out, this isn't a statement to take personally.. i'm not name calling) and some tend to give kids more freedom. Should the kids be left outside to play alone for a period of time? No, they aren't old enough for that (i think them being on the porch alone is fine though) but was it ok for him to run in the house to grab something and run right back out. Yes i think it was absolutely fine. As long as thats ALL he did.

And since Brooks is a little Cullen, he could steal a golf cart from a golfer and go for a joyride. /s
All joking aside, they shouldn’t leave toddlers alone outside ever.

He said he told Gaines to let the dog in. Which I take it as he wasn’t with the kids. So, Gaines went to let the dog in and then went down the steps and played outside with brooks. Long enough for them to get dirty. It only takes a second for something bad to happen. That is scary to me. I would never let them play outside alone.

Do you think they posted that stupid shit (including the Paul’s name) just for all the comments and engagement? They aren’t responding to to tweets or negative comments. I really don’t get it.

Maybe, i thought about that. Nothing better than a little drama to drum up comments ect.auntasaurus19 wrote:Do you think they posted that stupid shit (including the Paul’s name) just for all the comments and engagement? Re: C&K: Tankful of Marital Issues. Part #18
I just watched the end again. I definitely think he was drinking. He said “we are out of good drinks” and then at the end said “I need to hydrate” and sounded like he was walking towards the kitchen.Playsinrain wrote:Maybe, i thought about that. Maybe dealing with his drinking is one of the issues Katie was referencing in the depression vlog. I’m sure it’s not fun to deal with but Katie is a condescending bitch. I can’t believe the way she speaks to him. He was shielding himself from her when she was yelling at him about the fish food.

Re: C&K: Tankful of Marital Issues. Part #18
Did he say good drinks? I thought he said gatoraid, that's what he said he was going to the kitchen to get when he came back with the red bull. Someone else had said that the vlog was sponsored by RedBull and cocaine.. (i laughed at that harder than i should btw) and honestly it seemed more stimulant than alcohol. Cullen acts like a dumbass when he drinks too much, but there was something about it that didn't make me think booze. There was something, be it mental issues or substance, but he was off the charts for even Cullen behavior.
Re: C&K: Tankful of Marital Issues. Part #18
I heard "I want some Gatorade" and 'We're out of gatorade". That could be a special code for his drink or he really wanted gatorade. Regardless, that whole scene left me feeling uncomfortable. It reminded me of watching The Office and Michael Scott does something embarrassing/shameful and you feel awkward for THEM. I feel embarrassed for C&K and them not replying to the negative comments is very telling to me. Maybe Katie didn't know he kept that part in and Cullen edited while he was under the influence not realizing it shouldn't have been there.
This is sad. You know how you become invested in a show and you feel deeply saddened when someone dies off? This is what it feels like for me. They're declining at a rapid speed and it's really sad to watch....

Well I guess it was to be expected but they’ve definitely deleted a lot of negative comments.

There are stil A LOT of negative comments there. In fact most of the comments on that vlog are pretty critical or voicing concern. I could tell one of them was going through liking the positive ones in order to bury the negative further down the page, but that's not working.auntasaurus19 wrote:Well I guess it was to be expected but they’ve definitely deleted a lot of negative comments.

Anyone know why their subscriber count is blank for yesterday on Social Blade? Can they block that info?

Re: C&K: Tankful of Marital Issues. Part #18
Wow, they got a lot of pushback in the comments for that vlog for a variety of reasons, mostly out of concern. It seems that people are finally speaking up about something being “off,” probably because they have recently opened up about mental health and their marital issues.
If my husband was rolling around on the floor, yelling, making no sense, etc. I would be afraid. It definitely looked like some sort of manic episode. The comment about being dehydrated makes me think that alcohol was involved too. I thought the behavior towards the poor fish was worrisome too- tapping on the glass and then talking about picking the fish out of the tank and harming them.
Katie seems completely unfazed by this behavior, besides mild annoyance. Sometimes my husband and I are silly and sometimes we bicker a bit in a silly way while laughing at ourselves, but that was just beyond. It’s definitely something that she has normalized at this point. She just starts scolding and threatening him like she is the parent and he is the child. It is not a good look for either one of them.

I also heard "we're out of good drinks." Maybe he did say Gatorade, but he was clearing already under the influence of some good something
Re: C&K: Tankful of Marital Issues. Part #18
I’m sorry, but there’s no way they are making $50k a year and living like that. My husband is a mechanical engineer and makes a tiny bit over $100,000 a year and we don’t live like them. Granted we live in the North so the cost of living is very different than Alabama, but still, there’s no way. Remember they probably have sponsorships, too.

Depression is harder to manage while being sober. Im sure he wants to jump in front of a garbage truck but he has to keep it together.
