janem wrote:This hike is going to be difficult on so many levels. I actually looked at the website. It’s $140/person per night!!!! Weekends have an extra fee. No wonder his brother was trying to get rid of 2 spots!
It’s also an open campground and could be crowded since it’s spring break. June is a baby who could be crying a lot from the heat, tiredness or boredom. I just think it’s so rude for them to take her on a trip like this for the first time. We know that Corbin and Kelsey think they’re so experienced. He was complaining after last weekend about blisters.
There are helicopters that can take them out if it’s too much for $85/5 min ride. It won’t surprise me in the least if this happens.

It’s on an Indian reservation, that’s why such strict rules.

So how is his brother selling the tickets then??? hmmm sounds fishy!!
I clicked on a recent video of theirs while bored just for some laughs. Couldn't watch more than a minute or so. Gosh, I forgot how annoying these two are; not even just their idiocy and hypocrisy (ugh their stupid intro song "Honey we're not like the others, no reason to be...." gag me!). Their voices, what is with them! Corbin's voice is just downright cringey and horrible, but Kelsey's is also like ugh-I-want-earplugs-now! She often has vocal fry, drags out words in a weird way, pronounces things wrong, ack, I just can't. I wish someone would do a parody video of them, it would be hilarious.
Corbin has zero likability. Between his whiney voice, controlling ways and his creepy relationship with his daughter he's just gross.
Kelsey every now and then you see a glimmer that she hates Corbin too. But then her laugh and the fact she's constantly almost in every clip cleaning something out of her teeth with her tongue makes me want to scream.
I don't think that hike went well if Corbin's mom was crying and his aunt was in pain a mile in—and they were both planning to helicopter out after the hike in! (It looks all uphill on the way out, YIKES!) Corbin certainly filmed it to look like it was PERFECT, but they never show anything real. By the end of the night (7 p.m.) you can tell it's really not as fun as they were expecting it to be. I noticed Corbin cut the camera when June started scream-crying...so I guess they edited all the crying and tantrums out.
How did they make dinner? What does the campsite area look like? Did they check out the village store or anything intereting there?? They actually didn't show much at all.
I wish—at the very least—they'd give some HONEST accounts of how this trip went. I really wonder if they flew back too.

I guess I just fail to see what the baby gets out of this trip apart from Corbin and Kelsey getting to say they did this all with a baby in tow. It’s all about status with them and being able to brag that they somehow live up to this image they’ve created for themselves on YouTube that is so far from reality. The baby would be perfectly happy and comfortable at home with a relative for the weekend. She is too young to remember or appreciate such a grueling trip, she’s going to be miserable and it’s potentially dangerous. Once again, this is all about Kelsey and Corbin.
I literally think they do this stuff because they secretly know deep down that they're 2 adults with no jobs and no measure of success so far - not even cool travel stories! - and they need a way to justify it. I don't think either of them enjoys the actual realities of travel and they do shit like this to try and prove to people they're not just sitting at home all day.

His brother “sponsored” their flight out. They couldn’t even afford to helicopter out. How prepared of them. What if something happened and they had to leave immediately rather then just being too lazy and unprepared to hike out?
They’re so lucky everyone was ok on this trip. His aunt, mom?, even asked well if you hike out what will you do for food?
I'm so confused now. They didn't pack any food other than some snacks and ate at the village snack bar the whole time? There were indoor bathrooms at the campground?? That's some fancy backpacking! HAHA
The only part of the hike that seemed remotely stressful was the DOWNHILL hike to the campground!! And it was a "group decision" to fly out?? Nope. Corbin and Kelsey's family weren't even with them at the end.
I think that was sort of a failed trip. Sure, the hike out would be tough, especially with June, but aren't they there to hike and wander?? Don't they BRAG that this is what they "love" to do??? Didn't they say they wanted to prove you can do anything with kids?? I guess you can't.....
Are they going to not finish their half-marathon because it's "too hard"? Probably. They really aren't as fit as they claim/pretend to be if that hike was too hard!!
Sorry for the second post, but isn't it getting obvious that traveling with June really IS too much work for them?? They said they passed out from being so tired after they got home from backpacking, but it looked pretty relaxing to me and they took a helicopter back up the canyon! Why were they so tired?? Did they fib and June actually cried the entire time and didn't really sleep? They really do edit out most of the "real" stuff to make them look better.
How are they going to handle 10 days in India?? I would imagine that trip will be A LOT harder than the backpacking trip—and they had help!
I’m getting the feeling that they planned to fly out the whole time. His mom and aunt didn’t seem like they had packed a lot to begin with. It does seem like they ate at the restaurant the whole time. Didn’t they buy some freeze dried meals? A new stove?
These two are such idiots... if you hike DOWN into a canyon, you have to hike UP to finish the hike. He says that he ran out of water on the way down. Then had to “spend hours” in the tent because he was once again dehydrated. They were very unprepared for this hike in so many ways. It’s written all over the website about the heat, bringing water, etc.
This is a private campground on Indian land. I think that’s why it’s so controlled (limit access) but it’s also a form of income for these people. They have a really good website that explains a lot of the things that could happen. Corbin thought he didn’t need water shoes, but the website says they’re recommended.
These two are such posers. They aren’t real backpackers. They use June as an excuse for not following through.
So Corbin’s brother sponsored their flight? If it’s the brother (not Sonny) that posted on IG, hows he affording the $500 spent? His IG says that his trip was sponsored. Is he the one that put together this trip?
So many questions???

Sponsored = paid for them. Corbin's older brother seems WAAAAAY cooler/outdoorsy/more fun (and waaaay better looking) than loser Corbin. Corbin and his younger brother, Sonny, both seem like total assholes. Corbin doesn't seem as close to his older brother—probably because Corbin is a whiney BABY!

I don't know if I missed it but for a video that is titled "Havasu Falls Guide" I would expect more explanation. Did they have a video like that and I missed it? When I think of backpacking, I've gone for long hikes to a campsite, set up, and then take day hikes. I'm not familiar with hiking into a town like that. I haven't watched day 2 FTR.
Their whole family is apparently whiners. Started complaining an hour in. All got dehydration. Almost died and had a "spiritual" experience. Had to be helicoptered out. I have to say poor baby looked miserable. Her cheeks were so red the hike down. These assholes really are scum
