Nchollywood Part 7
Re: Nchollywood Part 7
Okay. So I found the school. Easy enough to find since there are only so many and she has shown Lily in her uniform.
It's a Catholic School. Same one Ellora's dad went too.
It's $370 a month per family. So $3700 a year.

Re: Nchollywood Part 7
The Catholic schools both help out a certain amount of low income students. Some partially, some fully.
As a former student at one of them (the same one she sends her girls to) I would never ever send my kids there. The bullying problem as well as the question able backgrounds of some of the nuns is too much. IMO non-Catholic parents who send there kids there do it solely for a perceived prestige.

Re: Nchollywood Part 7
As the mother to a private school child, trust me when I say it isn't about the prestige. Alot of the neighborhood schools closed and if I'm driving my kid to school you better believe they are going to the best school I can find instead of just anywhere. I don't care what other people think.... I care about my kid. Maybe there were nuns for teachers when you were there, but this definitely isn't the case now. Most people I know send their kids to private school because they believe it's best for them and have the money to afford it.PGLURK wrote:The Catholic schools both help out a certain amount of low income students. Do we know what catchment the girls would be in? There are definitely issues at some of the bowl area and rural schools. Alysha makes a lot of questionable parenting choices, but sending the kids to private school isn't one of them.

So I wonder if Ellora's dad is paying for her to go. And then Lily at the same school by chance of her dad. Or if Ellora's dad is just paying the $370 so both kids, and eventually Raine can go there?

Re: Nchollywood Part 7
It's disingenuous to only refer to them as private schools. They are religious schools with religion (Catholicism) being a core part of the education. Being a nonreligious (or only marginally religious) kid there suuuucks.HelloSweetie wrote:As the mother to a private school child, trust me when I say it isn't about the prestige. I think she's in the cachement for either Heritage or Foothills. My nieces go to Foothills and their class sizes are low 20s.

Re: Nchollywood Part 7
Meh. Maybe it sucked when you were there, but the majority of children in my son's class aren't practicing catholics. Kids no longer stand out of they aren't part of the church. It's been the perfect school for him. Perhaps it's changed since you were in school? My son doesn't go to the same one as Ally's kids, but he has friends from there and they are really happy ((shrugs)).PGLURK wrote:It's disingenuous to only refer to them as private schools. I don't see how this is something to point out as a failure on her part.

My parents thought they were sending me to the best private catholic school... I'm 24 now and have severe PTSD.HelloSweetie wrote:As the mother to a private school child, trust me when I say it isn't about the prestige. Re: Nchollywood Part 7
Guess your parents should have been more engaged with what was going on with you. My son is happy at his school and flourishing, its much better than his school would have been FOR HIM. The likely go to the school they do because the choice was made to send the oldest because her dad had been happy with that school. Made sense to send her sister then two years later.ArrestMeTho wrote:My parents thought they were sending me to the best private catholic school... People are reaching ridiculously far to demonize Allyshia over the school thing when there is zero evidence the kids are anything but happy.

About the car seat picture, he is sitting is ellora’s seat while his seat is right next to it rear facing! Shouldn’t he be in his seat? What is the point of keeping it rear facing if ur just going to stick him in ellora’s forward facing seat!

Re: Nchollywood Part 7
Mine is special needs and still in a pull-up during the day at almost five. I get no benefits for this, nor do I seek them out. My kid knows he's delayed in speech and motor skills and that his brain works differently. So we don't bitch about can't do, we celebrate and brag about successes. Especially publicly. Never in a fucking million years do I ever bring it up online, look for sympathy or bitch about it. Funny how she wants everyone to accept her for who she is (based on a given week and that particular whim) but can't love and accept him for who he is without distorting he truth and whining about him. She blows his so-called needs waaay out of proportion, and she can't even be consistent about his cans and cannot. So he can use a tablet.... Maybe give him that and shop? Does it take high school to figure that kind of rocket science out??? What in the actual fuck is wrong with you Allyshia?!StalkingcauseIcan2 wrote:she won't potty train him because if she can keep him in a diaper she can claim for more disability benefits for him..because right now is is developmentally on par BUT if he is still diapered at 4....

Nchollywood Part 7
She does this because she wants the attention that comes from being mom to a special needs child. If she doesn't constantly point out how special he is, how will people know how special she is?Responsiblemom wrote:Mine is special needs and still in a pull-up during the day at almost five. I dont think anyone is demonizing her over the school choice...plainly put prettt much all schools in PG rank at or near the bottom in BC...SAVE for a few. the point is she is a welfare mom who is pagan and because "a" or "the" dads are paying for catholic schools...and NOW she plans on trying to put her poor abandoned sn kid into a religious school and expect him to not be confused about what he is being taught at school vs home..is she gonna piggy back raine onto one of her baby daddies cash handouts for school?

Exactly my point....the school the girls are in is in the top 20% for BC. If Rainey has a relationship with his sisters, then in school with them is honestly the best place for him. The teachers will be familiar with the family dynamic and will be able to provide better emotional support to him.
The religion is mostly moral based, so as long as he isn't raised to be an arrogant asshole, he'll catch on just fine. He won't be the only non-Catholic there.

plus if he is as "mentally" delayed as she says he is...the double standards are going to be an issue... plus she is probably just going to get welfare aka Everyone else to pay his tution...

Re: Nchollywood Part 7
There isn't a double standard he won't also be subjected to in the real world. More than anything the schools teach virtues like compassion, love, friendship, patience, empathy, teamwork, etc. Raine will need to learn those lessons in life no matter who his mother is. Actually, he'll need to learn those from school and other places more than most children BECAUSE his mother isn't likely to properly model them for him.StalkingcauseIcan2 wrote: "not being raised to be an arrogant asshole" we ARE talking about a kid who ONLY has allypally...

Agree to disagree, but I think that school will be good for him. Yes how mother is a trailer trash whore, but he is just a little boy. It won't be welfare paying for his school, it will be the subsidy that comes out of the tuition paid by the other parents to the 3 sister schools. I'd much rather my tuition go towards a sibling of a child that had paid for years, than be given to someone that will only be there a year before moving on. Raine needs help, and his mother is redundant to this situation.
I mean.... Allyshia wouldn't be paying for public school either. She needs to get a life and get a job. I don't want to see her kids held back in any way to punish her. But like I said, agree to disagree.
